Question: Why weren't Thor and Hulk in Civil War? If they would've been in the movie, whose side would they join and why?

Answer: Most likely due to the events of Thor: Ragnarok. At the end of Age of Ultron Hulk/Banner disappears because he doesn't want to be involved in the fight anymore. Thor was in London with Jane but we don't know what he was up to. If they were to choose sides they both probably would have been on Cap's side. Banner doesn't want to be used as a weapon and Thor wants to protect Earth without being told what to do.

Question: Perhaps a bit of an odd question but when the pack falls back and Soto asks Diego where the baby is, was he asking because he was angry he couldn't see the baby right there to take it, or was he just wondering where the baby was as he couldn't see it?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: He was being angrily sarcastic, because he realises Diego betrayed him.

Chosen answer: Eat it.

Question: What was with that scene when Sidney was going through her closet and a dramatic change in music occurred. Did something in the background occur that I didn't see? Was there nothing?

Answer: The dramatic change in music is a red herring and arguably an example of foreshadowing. Initially, the unsettling music was supposed to trick viewers into thinking Ghostface was in the closet when Sidney first opened it. Later on though, Ghostface hides in the same closet before attacking Sidney.

Answer: Later in this scene, we see Ghostface emerge from the closet to attack Sidney. The music was foreshadowing this event, as Ghostface must have already been hiding in that closet for him to be able to emerge later.

Question: When Han and Luke are rescuing Leia, why didn't Luke use his lightsaber during his mission on the Death Star?

DFirst1

Chosen answer: It's possible that he wasn't experienced enough with it, or at least felt like he wasn't, to be of any use. Remember, in the first film, Luke's total experience in handling the lightsaber was only a few screen minutes before he, Han, Chewie and Obi-wan attempted the rescue. It's also quite probable that Obi-wan warned Luke NOT to carry the lightsaber during the rescue attempt; it was, after all, Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber. If Luke (Anakin's son) boarded the Deathstar armed with Anakin's lightsaber, that peculiar disturbance in the Force could potentially lead Darth Vader straight to Luke, rather than to Obi-wan.

Question: What exactly did Del mean when he said he doesn't have a home? He doesn't look homeless.

MikeH

Chosen answer: He means that, as a salesman, he's always traveling, rather than being based out of one particular city. There's a darker implication however: he's a widower and doesn't feel like he really has a home since he lost his wife.

Giving Back - S1-E5

Question: Why didn't Opie tell the club why he was in financial struggle due to his time in jail? He did what the club wanted him to do which was be a brotherhood and to not give up on the club, but he won't even tell Jax his financial troubles.

Answer: He knew the club was hurting financially because of the gun warehouse burning down.

I think with Opie it was more of a pride thing.

Question: When young Joe retires from his looper job after killing old Joe, and also leaves Kansas for Shanghai, how would he be present in Kansas to kill old Joe the 2nd time (when he fails)? I didn't get this.

Answer: The movie is called looper. Meaning these people are stuck in a loop. Unless broken it's going to continue. Both Joes break the loop. Old Joe first, by escaping young Joe. Young Joe again, by killing himself.

Question: Why did Manny look so shocked when he saw the baby in the river? I thought he didn't care about anything now? Or did he remember something when he saw the baby.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: The baby was innocent and helpless, not the hunters who killed his family. He still had compassion.

Chosen answer: He forgave Diego because not only did Diego warn them on what he was originally sent to do, but also helped them plan a way to defeat the sabres.

Chosen answer: A sequel was not only planned, but money was spent developing sets and costumes. However, Dolph Lundgren did not want to reprise the role, so Laird Hamilton was picked to play He-Man with Albert Pyu set to direct. Canon Films, who produced the first movie, was also planning on producing a Spider-Man movie. However, Canon Films still owed money to Mattel and Marvel for the character rights that they couldn't feasibly pay, so both projects had to be scrapped. Incidentally, not wanting to let money go to waste on sets and costumes, they had Pyu come up with a movie to utilize them, which resulted in Cyborg starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Bishop73

Question: Are Bullock's reactions to all the situations she encounters logical, considering she is a trained astronaut? For instance: she repeatedly noticed that she is running out of oxygen, but she still keeps talking, screaming and hyperventilating. The first thing you have to do is to get your breath under control, but she keep talking and screaming all the way... Would a person like Bullock get through all the NASA psychological tests?

Answer: Dr. Stone isn't an experienced astronaut. She is on her 1st mission, a mission that is continually disastrous and claims the lives of two people. Her panic, even considering her training, is more than justified.

BaconIsMyBFF

"Her panic even considering her training is more than justified" I wouldn't be so sure about that. Jack Swegiert, and Fred Haise were not experienced astronauts either during the Apollo 13 accident, but they managed to remain calm, and not panic given the psychological tests they went through.

That's true but nobody died during Apollo 13, communication with Houston was not severed, the astronauts were not alone, etc. It's a different situation. Given the circumstances of her specific mission, primarily the fact two men died on the mission and she was left alone with no help, her panic does not seem to me to be unrealistic.

BaconIsMyBFF

Answer: While she is a specialist who was cleared to be on the mission, she noted that she received only 6 months of prior minimal training and was mediocre-she noted crashing the simulations, getting sick during training, etc. not to mention having past trauma involving her daughter. Their allowing her to proceed was more about opening space to civilians and possibly for public relations purposes than about her being an astronaut.

Show generally

Question: When Elena and Damon were turned into rippers they were confined because they fed on vampires. Why was Lily not a threat, yet she was a ripper and never fed on vampires.

Alana paulatte

Answer: Because Lily's humanity was not turned off as Elena and Stefan's were...therefore she had some control over her actions and had a conscience whereas the other two did not at the time.

Question: Towards the end of the movie, when the parents are looking at the wine bottles, they hear Martin and Chessy arrive home. Nick tells Elizabeth "she has a key" - why does Elizabeth back up right away as he said that?

Answer: I think she was scared of falling in love with Nick again, and maybe because she thought they were better off not together, considering they became successful and achieved each other's dreams when they were apart.

Question: How did mother Gothel know the flower song?

Answer: Presumably she is the one who made up the song in the first place.

BaconIsMyBFF

Answer: She's a descendant of Zhan Tiri and has been studying the sundrop and moonstone her whole life so she most likely found the healing incantation part of the Demanitus Scroll and learned it from that.

Quagmire's Quagmire - S12-E3

Question: The scene where Quagmire wakes up at Sonja's apartment, he gets up and tells her that he's going to the bathroom. She stops him and tells him to take the wine glass and that they can use it later. What does this mean?

Kingamnesiac

Chosen answer: She wants him to pee in the wine glass to use the urine in sexual play.

Greg Dwyer

Answer: Yes. Porthos survives this episode, although many a viewers' sanity and the show's ratings were not so lucky.

Question: Did the Grady girls also possess the shining? Did they die for the same reasons the hotel tries to get Jack to kill his family?

Answer: It is possible that one of the daughters may have had a "shine" to her. If you'll remember the exchange in the bathroom between Jack and Grady, Grady says that one of his daughters stole some matches and tried to burn the Overlook down. It's possible she did this because she could sense the evil in the hotel and attempted to end it. It's possible, also, that she realised what the hotel was doing to her father and tried to end that.

In addition to the above response, the hotel is depicted in the book as a somewhat sentient being. Its influence is behind many of the murders that took place there. It's possible the hotel wanted Grady to kill his family since one of the daughters was attempting to burn it down, therefore it was trying to protect itself.

Answer: The Grady girls did not possess the shining. They were murdered by their father, because the hotel drove him crazy, just like what happened to Jack.

lionhead

Question: When Jim asked Aurora, "have I lost you?", what was her response about always having loved him?

Answer: From IMSDB: I don't want to be angry anymore. I can't be. We've come through too much. No matter what you've done... the fact is, I love you.

Ssiscool

Question: When it's the first Quidditch practice session and Ron and Hermione come onto the pitch why didn't Wood get rid of them? It seems out of character for Wood to let people who aren't on the teams from any houses anywhere near the pitch.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: He knows they are Harry's friends and they are Gryffindors.
