Question: Near the end of Die Hard, who is the terrorist carrying the bonds that Bruce knocks out? What happens to him? He obviously isn't dead from a punch. Just is out cold and on the floor as Bruce shoots Hans and the other terrorist.

Chosen answer: There were a few terrorist survivors. Kristof the guy carrying the bonds, and also Theo, who Argyle knocked out, would be arrested and eventually sentenced to prison.

Question: What do you reckon Rose would have done had the Titanic not sunk? Since they wouldn't have had to go back to her stateroom due to the seriousness of the collision, Jack may not have been arrested, so do you reckon Cal would make sure she was in sight of him, Lovejoy or Ruth at all times and then force her into the arranged marriage or do you think she would've found a way to be with Jack?

Chosen answer: There is no reasonable way that Rose and Jack could have remained together if they'd all made it to New York safely. Rose had too many eyes on her, and her marriage to Cal had already been arranged, so she could not have gotten out of it. It would have been a fairly easy matter for Cal to keep Rose under essentially house arrest until they were wed.

Answer: 1. The fact that Jack and Rose appear together as a couple to inform her mother and Cal about the impending danger of the shipwreck, shows that they were ready to disclose their relationship to the world, without worrying about others. 2. ‚ÄéRose tells Jack that she will stay with him in New York when the ship docks. So if they made it all the way to New York, there are possibilities that the two lovers outwit Cal and his prying men, and could've eloped and got married. Note: Cal couldn't have sued Jack of kidnapping Rose, because she would testify against Cal and Jack would be proved innocent:-).

Question: Did Darth Vader know that the Emperor intended to replace him?

DFirst1

Chosen answer: Yes, the Sith Rule of Two requires that the master kill the apprentice and claim a new one, or the apprentice kill the master and become master himself.

Jason Hoffman

Then why didn't Vader do anything about it?

DFirst1

He quite famously threw the Emperor down a shaft. :-) Presumably he was still benefiting from the relationship. The Emperor knows how it goes too - they would have stayed in partnership until the deciding moment came, both thinking they'd be the one to triumph, but ultimately one of them would be wrong.

I mean prior when Palpatine is torturing Luke.

DFirst1

Question: Was Dooku just a placeholder for Anakin?

DFirst1

Chosen answer: That's one way to look at it. The Sith sought to grow stronger, and when a potentially stronger apprentice comes around, the "upgrade" is too tempting to pass on.

Question: When Angelo Palazzi is gassing the jet crew, there is a voice mixed into the crew's gasps saying "Answer the question." Has anyone else ever heard this?

Chosen answer: I just watched this movie, and in this scene, while I didn't hear that particular phrase, there is constant talking by the air traffic controller over the radio requesting routine information from the crew about their flight status. The conversation became more urgent when the stricken crew were no longer responding. In that event, a logical comment from the controller would be, "Answer the question."

The Vacation Solution - S5-E16

Question: Why did Penny lie to Leonard by saying Bernadette wants a prenup when it's her dad who wants a prenup, and why is she gossiping about it in the first place?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: She is simplifying the situation. Bernadette may not be the one insisting on the Pren, but she is going to ask Howard to sign one. She's gossiping because she likes to gossip.

The Stag Convergence - S5-E22

Question: I don't get why Bernadette got mad at Howard just because he didn't tell her about a couple of women he used to date. I don't also get why she started getting upset and running to her room just because of what Penny said. Can someone please explain them to me?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: She is upset at Howard not because he didn't tell her, but because he lied to her. He claimed to have told her about all the women he slept with but didn't mention many of them. She is mad at Penny because she thinks Penny betrayed her by setting her up with someone she didn't respect and expected them to fail.

The One With Phoebe's Uterus - S4-E11

Question: When Phoebe is sitting on the couch with her mother, having just received the puppy, towards the end you can see a strange thing sitting on the couch behind/next to her. I can only view it on a small screen, but it looks like a phallic shape. It would make sense, considering that her mother makes erotic pottery, but is that what it is?

Chosen answer: It is one of Phoebe's mother's sculptures. Whether or not this particular piece is erotic is debatable, but it can be defined as "non-objective" abstract art, meaning there's no recognizable shape or subject to it.

Question: If Quinn and Robin had no idea what island they crash landed on AND the plane's navigation system and radio had been knocked out by the lightning, how were they able to navigate straight back to Makatea once they retrofitted the plane and eluded the pirates?

Chosen answer: Once they were in the air, Quinn would be able to navigate by sight. He was an experienced pilot and and was familiar with the territory and the different islands' configurations. He would also be looking for ship traffic, and he had a general idea which of several islands they were on. Once in the air, he would easily know which direction he was heading based on the position of the sun.

Question: Why did Alex take the thermometer out of his mouth right after Karen said not to?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: Because he's a typical kid who does the opposite of what he is told to do.

Question: What did Jernigan mean by twenty seconds out when the Stephan's were being robbed? And why did Alex tell the police woman he had the chicken pox the first time he called 911?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: "Twenty seconds out" means that they are approximately twenty seconds away from the house. Alex said it to give a reason as to why he was home and not in school.

Greg Dwyer

Question: I don't get why Alice is being nice to Karen after she almost ran her over with her car? Why is she telling her to have a nice day and smiling at her? She's a crook so I just don't understand.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: She is supposed to be inconspicuous, blending into a family friendly neighborhood. It would arouse suspicions, if she screamed and threatened to knock her block off.

Show generally

Question: I know that Phil Leotardo hated gays, but did Tony and the rest of the crew hate Vito simply because he was gay? Or because it interfered with their business with Phil?

Chosen answer: Homosexuality is despised in Mafia culture. Phil's extreme homophobia is causing issues because Tony is refusing to kill Vito, which is what's expected of him.

Greg Dwyer

Answer: Tony's tolerated Vito's homosexuality because as he said several times was because he was one of Tony's best earners. There wasn't one associate that liked Vito after vin set the record straight. They kept calling him a fanuk, excuse my spelling.

Chosen answer: The monkey was annoying. Ross always brought it to Monica's apartment, and Marcel would misbehave. Monica is a neat freak who likes everything to be in perfect order. Ross, who is somewhat passive/aggressive, often brought Marcel solely to annoy his sister.

Question: When Beaupre thought there was a woman in the Alcott's house, why go back in and kill her? He thought she was in the shower so she couldn't see him, so there was no evidence to give the police about what he looked like.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: It was Jernigan who thought there was a woman in the shower and he couldn't take the risk that if it was a woman, that she would eventually get out and see intruders in the house and call for the police. The only option open to Jernigan would be to kill her so there'd be no witnesses.

Question: Exactly who is in charge of the villains? I know it isn't Beaupre but is the man who told them to get the chip or is someone in charge of him?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: They are freelance thieves who are working for a client. They are in charge of themselves.

Greg Dwyer

Question: Why does the man who tells Beaupre to get the chip want it in the first place? Also when he said $1000 would he give that much to Beaupre or is it the other way around? Also what did he mean when he said not a plan but the chip itself?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: The man is the head of a terrorist organization. The chip can make it so that missiles are able to be launched undetected. He wants to use it for that purpose.

Greg Dwyer

Question: When Beaupre says "what a brave little boy", was he being sarcastic or did he actually admire everything Alex was doing?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: He admires him for being brave and smart, with a little sarcasm.

Question: Where is Steve when he meets Erskine for the first time?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Chosen answer: In a recruiting office at the Worlds Fair in Queens.

Question: An N64 game called Jet Force Gemini was published and developed by Rare alone, but this game was published by Nintendo. Does this mean that Rare created Banjo-Kazooie at their own headquarters and called Nintendo to publish it, or did they make the game at Nintendo's headquarters?
