Best Disney movie mistakes of all time
Continuity mistake: The tiger bites the seat off the suitor's trousers, allowing the viewer to see his polka-heart boxers. When we see the tiger in the courtyard, he has a part of the same boxer shorts in his mouth. So if he bit off the seat of the trousers, shouldn't he have purple cloth in his mouth?
Continuity mistake: In the 'Gaston' song sequence, near the end, Gaston is sitting in his huge antler chair with Lefou. In the wide shot, there is a bear rug behind the chair. The camera does a close up of Gaston, then in the next wide shot, the chair is on top of the bear rug. Also, after this, Gaston gets up off of the chair and in the next shot, both the chair and the rug disappear completely.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning scenes, where Milo Thatch is practicing his proposal, he slides over (face forward, chest against the board) a chalk drawing of a map detailing the location of Atlantis. When he realizes he wiped off the drawing, and sees it on his clothes, he stands in front of the blank part of the chalkboard, "filling in" the space with the map that rubbed off on his shirt -- the only problem is, that the image should have rubbed off BACKWARDS as he was FACING the board when it transferred to his clothes. He could not simply stand in the place of the missing map face forward and have it read properly.
Continuity mistake: During the "Why Should I Worry" song, Dodger goes with his "scarf" of sausages through a basin full of wet cement. Logically the cement should be stuck on the sausages, though that does not appear to happen, even though the sausages went through the cement. There is cement on his paws, though, that he needs to wash off.
Continuity mistake: Just before Flynn cuts off Rapunzel's hair, there is a shot from behind him and he reaches up with his right hand to push her hair behind her ear. His arm is visible up to his forearm and the shackle is nowhere in sight. However, in the next, wide shot, the shackle is suddenly up around his wrist.
Deliberate mistake: When Tarzan fights with the leopard, it scratches his chest. However after they fall into the pit and Tarzan comes out carrying the dead leopard, the scratches on his chest have amazingly healed. [It is a long-standing Disney tradition that no evidence of violence is shown on screen. Still a mistake, but there's why].
Continuity mistake: When the butler takes the mother and kittens to be abandoned in the countryside he is on a motorcycle and sidecar combination. During the trip the sidecar changes from one side of the bike to the other and back again. Also, when the sidecar separates from the motorcycle when the dogs are chasing Edgar, the wheel on the sidecar switches sides regularly as well.
Continuity mistake: When Kronk is disposing of the llama body, he runs down a very tall staircase. At the bottom, he runs into two peasants and leans up against the wall. The peasants pass him, walking toward the left side of the screen. Immediately after they disappear from the screen, the "camera" zooms out so you can see the entire palace. Now, the only place the peasants could have gone was up the staircase Kronk had just come down from, unless they wanted to fall off a cliff. If you look on the stairs, though, no one is there. The peasants couldn't have made it all the way up the extremely tall and steep staircase within seconds, so they just mysteriously disappeared.
Continuity mistake: During Judy's chase, Duke Weaselton falls beside the large donut sign and the bag filled with flower bulbs lands on the street near the sign, but in the shot of Judy running down the street yelling, "Stop right there" the bag has moved much further up the road beside double yellow road lines, but after Weaselton kicks the donut and it rolls down the street, the bag has vanished from both areas, though the bag reappears after Judy saves Fru Fru.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Chicken Little lends the alien baby, Kirby, his handkerchief, after Kirby blows his nose, it sticks to Chicken Little's hand. Chicken Little then wipes the hanky off his hand on to the grass. In the very next shot, the hanky has disappeared, and never shows up again.
Deliberate mistake: At the elephant graveyard, little Simba claws Shenzi in the face. When Mufasa saves Simba from the hyenas, the cuts are gone, a few seconds later. [This was done intentionally, I'm sure, for two reasons. The first being, Disney doesn't let fresh scars linger on the screen too long. Secondly, during that same scene when Mufasa rescues Simba & Nala, he claws Banzai in the rear. To stress the point later in the movie, that severe scar is shown too, but only briefly, it too disappears because of reason 1. Still a "mistake", but there's why.]
