Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Otterton is in Chief Bogo's office holding her family photo with both paws, in the wideshots her purse is hanging in the crook of her left arm, but after a brief shot of Judy, when it cuts to Mrs. Otterton's closeup as she tells Bogo about her two beautiful children her purse is gone, then after another brief shot of Judy the purse is back in its place again in the wideshot.
Continuity mistake: During Judy's chase, Duke Weaselton falls beside the large donut sign and the bag filled with flower bulbs lands on the street near the sign, but in the shot of Judy running down the street yelling, "Stop right there" the bag has moved much further up the road beside double yellow road lines. Then, after Weaselton kicks the donut and it rolls down the street, the bag has vanished from both areas, though the bag reappears after Judy saves Fru Fru.
Continuity mistake: When the landlady shows Judy to her "luxury apartment" note the position of the vertical deadbolt lock affixed to the front door and jamb, but the next morning when Judy leaves for the ZPD, as she unlocks the door the deadbolt lock has moved higher up on the door and jamb (note wallpaper). Additionally, just as Judy opens the door we can see that although the interior deadbolt is affixed higher, its key cylinder on the exterior side is much lower, which makes no sense, but then the deadbolt is back to normal.
Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Otterton walks into Chief Bogo's office, in the shots facing the door there are two screws properly placed on the light switch plate, but when Chief Bogo shuts the door after Bellwether leaves, those two screws have vanished. Additionally, the distance between the door handle and the switch plate changes as well. (00:32:00)
Continuity mistake: When Judy heads into her first roll call at ZPD, the bulletin board is on the front wall with all the missing victims' photos, but when Chief Bogo walks in some of the photos are rearranged and there are more photos.
Continuity mistake: The scene where Judy arrives home after working her first day was changed due to earlier events in the film being taken out, however there is still a scene in the final film that was part of the cut scene. When Judy is watching her microwave dinner cooking we see her from inside the microwave. If you look at the shirt she is wearing it is the Pink and Lilac shirt she wears in the deleted scene. This animation was most likely left in due to this small error only being noticed if you were really looking for it and to save time being remade in her meter maid uniform.
Other mistake: This is a small error with the UK release of the film. For reasons that Disney have not disclosed, the film was renamed to "Zootropolis" and has had almost every mention of the word "Zootopia" both vocally and visually changed. However, just before Judy is interviewed you see the camera pan over the reporters and Chief Bogo. If you look on the floor it says "pia" as in "Zootopia." It is clear that this texture was not changed to say "Zootropolis" due to its placement, as it would have involved rendering the whole scene again just for this word change.
Continuity mistake: When Judy gets stuck in the cement a construction worker is standing behind her carry nothing. In the next shot, he is carrying a cement smoother.
Continuity mistake: When Judy catches the runaway donut sign that almost squashes Fru Fru, a bunch of little brown donut "crumbs" sprinkle all over the street around Fru Fru, but in the overhead shot of Fru Fru the street is perfectly clean. (00:30:25)
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Big is sitting in his chair talking to Nick and Judy, the chair moves itself further back from the edge of the desk.
Continuity mistake: After Judy boots Nick's stroller, when she tells Nick that bunnies are good at multiplying she turns the top white page inside her blue folder, so it's lying at the left side, but in the next closeup we see there's no paper at the left side and the 1040 tax form is the top page in the folder. (00:35:50)
Continuity mistake: After Judy apologizes to Nick they drive off in her truck, and in the first shot of them we see two strips of red tape on the seat back - one over the veggies and one behind Nick. In the next shot facing Judy, there's no Nick where he should be (note the tape), and in the next shot facing Nick, the veggies are closer to Judy (again, note the tape). Then Judy holds her arm out to show Nick the picture of Duke and her phone is beside the tape that should be behind Nick, but in the shot facing Nick, Judy's phone isn't even past the veggies.
Continuity mistake: When Judy gets stuck in the cement facing forward, we see that she can't seem to get her feet out, but after Nick leaves, in the next shot, she's now seen standing 90° to her left.
Continuity mistake: While Judy is heading to the city, outside the fish town place, there a female elephant with two kids dressed like Elsa and Ana from Frozen but when she gets to the terminal those elephants are also outside the building.
Continuity mistake: Judy comes back from work and throws her notepad and cell phone on the table. When the angle changes the notepad has vanished.
Chosen answer: Finnick didn't say anything that could be used against him and she had no proof that he was delinquent on his taxes, as he said, "She hustled you good!"
Finnick was involved in all of Nick's scams so shouldn't he have been charged as an accessory and therefore also forced to help Judy?
Nick's crime was not paying taxes. Judy had no evidence that Finnick was guilty in any tax evasion or that he even participated in earlier scams.
