Question: Do the other children at Melody's birthday party know she's a mermaid? They must do if the snotty boys and girl joined Melody and all the other mermaids in the end.

Answer: Melody was only a mermaid for a short amount of time and they never saw her that way. By the end of the movie when she used the Trident to take the walls down, she was in normal human form, and so was her mother. The fact that other mermaids were around might have been a shock, but Melody could've just explained that off-screen. Either way, she was still kind enough to let them join.

Chosen answer: Either possibility is true. They may not have known she was, which is why it was never said among them before, or they did and didn't say anything.

Question: Why did Carla put on the red dress when she was going to take over the role of Eliza in the play, since the first act started with the outfit Lola was already wearing?

Chosen answer: My only guess is that she had to make sure the dress fit before the play, or adjustments had to be made on the dress so it would fit her.

Question: When the train is put into reverse, Bronson and the major jump off. The Indians get into the box car then the train stops. Who stopped it?

Chosen answer: Ben Johnson and Charles During. Their characters had guns pointed at them, they stopped the train suddenly to knock them off balance. As soon as Bronson and the Major jumped off the train, Johnson and During took control of the engine.

Question: What are death sticks?

Chosen answer: According to the Star Wars Wookipedia, death sticks were a mild hallucinogen primarily sold on Outer Rim worlds, but could be found in abundance on Coruscant. Originally developed in the illegal pharmaceutical labs of CoCo Town, they were relatively cheap and were smuggled into the clubs of cities by dealers. The cilona extract offered euphoria in exchange for a horrific outcome, producing a twisted version of reality enhanced by bright colors. With each dose, the user's life was shortened, and the successive dosages took away larger chunks from a lifespan. With each successive dose, the desire for a harder reaction increased. It was thus very difficult for a youth to shake off their addiction without medical assistance. The death sticks came in two forms: Liquid form or injected.

Question: When President Business is watering the town with the antidote for The Kragle, how are he and the water bucket flying above everyone?

Chosen answer: There's not actually a reason. Don't forget, this is just played out in a father and child's imagination. The father and child are just imagining the story as they go along,.

Casual Person

Question: In the end of the movie, what does Vitruvius mean when he says "I liked Emmet before it was cool"?

Chosen answer: The "it was cool" part means how Emmett saved the day and how his sacrifice made a good final battle. He's basically saying, even before Emmett made himself a hero, he still liked him anyway.

Question: Are there any battleships still in service within the U. S. Navy, or have they all been scrapped or turned into floating museums?

Chosen answer: No. The last battleship was stricken from the Naval Vessel Register and decommissioned in 2006.

MasterOfAll

Question: Why didn't B-Rabbit yell at and break up with Alex Latorno after he caught her cheating on him?

Chosen answer: They'd only known each other a short while and were not necessarily in an exclusive relationship.

Season 8 generally

Question: In Season 5, the Doctor states his age as nine hundred and six years old. In a voice-over for Season 8, he states that he's lived for over two thousand years. Granted, he's a Time Lord, but how could he make such a grievous error in his own age?

Movie Nut

Chosen answer: He has not made an error, he probably is 2000 years old. He may have been 906 in season 5, but remember, at the end of season 6, he is 200 years older, 1107 years old and in season 7 episode 3, the Doctor stated he was 1200 years old. Plus, he also in "The Time of the Doctor", he lived at that village for several hundred years. It may have been only 4 years for the audience, but it has in fact been over a millennia for The Doctor.

Casual Person

Sometimes when the doctor says things about himself people say that he is known for lying.

Dan23

Answer: He can't actually remember his precise age. He's almost certainly over a millennium older than he claims, but even he doesn't remember the real number.

Question: Does anyone know what town/city the scene at Snape's house was filmed in?

Chosen answer: The scene is set in the fictional village of Cokestown. Based on some Internet research, there does not appear to be an actual town where this was filmed. According to Helen McCrory, the actress who played Narcissa Malfoy, the street scene was filmed before a blue screen. Most likely, the aerial view consisted of CGI composite shots to simulate a late-19th Century Northern England industrial town. Snape is supposed to have lived in an area of abandoned row houses on Spinner's End street. There was also information that some footage may have been filmed near Black Country near Birmingham, Tyneside or the Clyde area in Scotland.

Chosen answer: Black armbands are a traditional sign of mourning, though not widely used today. They are wearing them to mourn for Jack.

Question: At the end of the movie it shows what happens to everyone. It shows Mary and William Stafford walking in the meadow and 3 children. There's a boy, presumably the boy Mary had with Henry and Anne's daughter Elizabeth. Does anybody know who the other girl is? She looks older than Elizabeth so I assume she's not Mary and Stafford's daughter.

Nikki Yates

Chosen answer: It is unknown who the older girl is, but probably the child of a close relative. In the movie (which significantly differs from the novel and from history), Mary is shown to only have given birth to one child (King Henry's son) before her marriage to William Stafford. Therefore, the girl could not be Mary's child by her first marriage.

Question: What could possibly have made Teasle think that it was Rambo who killed Gault? Teasle was fully aware that Rambo was injured and unarmed and that Gault was in a helicopter trying desperately to shoot him (against orders). So how the hell did he come to that conclusion?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Rambo essentially admitted responsibility, when he tried to make peace with the officers as he stood near the body. As well, we can assume the chopper pilot reported the incident - while he may not have seen Rambo, rocks don't throw themselves at helicopters.

Cutting It Close - S2-E1

Question: Did Jesse know they were going to cut his hair? Did he ask them to make an episode about him getting a haircut?

Chosen answer: No.

Question: Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the credits show that Panchito Gomez played young Abraham. I've seen Panchito Gomez in 80's movies such as Tuff Turf and he doesn't resemble at all the actor playing young Abraham. However, he DOES resemble the gentleman in the cowboy hat who stiffs Abraham money for Selena's performance and says "She's just a woman." I always wondered if the credits made a mistake. Anyone know?

Chosen answer: Looking at the credits on IMDB it does show that Panchito Gomez played young Abraham in Selena as well as the role in Tuff Turf. Given that 12 years had passed between the two movies, it's possible that Panchito had gotten older and didn't look like he was when he was 22 compared to mid 30s.

Question: What is the thing in the background at 00:31:23? It looks like a tentacle or worm but I really don't know. I've scoured the internet looking for information but I can't find anything relating to the subject. It seems this hasn't been brought up anywhere. I'd greatly appreciate an answer. Thanks in advance.

00:31:23

Eric Lambert

Chosen answer: It's a Leviathan, the same kind of "flying worm" seen later in the final battle.

Question: What happened to Hermione's cat Crookshanks? He's not seen at all at the start of this movie. I can't remember if it's mentioned in the books what happened to him; the movie doesn't seem to mention it either.

Heather Benton Premium member

Chosen answer: The last time we see Crookshanks is at the Weasley house. They likely left him there.
