Question: I can't understand why Sonny hauled Sandy off the dance floor during the dance finale. Sure Sonny was a bit of a jerk, but he idolized Danny and would never disrespect him. Also there was nothing to suggest that he and Cha-Cha were friends. I never truly understood.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: He's fall-down drunk, that's why. He's drinking during the entire dance.

Question: When Jack Crawford is explaining to his team about the Tooth Fairy's note to Lecktor, there is, very prominently in the foreground, what looks like a paperweight on his desk. What exactly is it, and why is it so important as to be in the foreground? (00:43:20)

Cubs Fan Premium member

Chosen answer: It's the plaster cast of the Tooth Fairy's teeth made from the bite impressions he left on past victims.

Question: This applies to the TV series as well as the Movie. How are the "watching the movie" segments filmed? Are they literally sitting in front of a large screen? In some of the TV episodes, Joel/Mike is seen pointing to something on the screen. And do they film each segment as one, or is it cut into different takes?

Gary O'Reilly

Chosen answer: They sit in front of a big screen -- or rather Joel or Mike sat. The puppeteers crouch down below the row of seats and hold up special black puppets to project the silhouettes. They did do takes for segments of the movies. I imagine it would be painful for the puppeteers to crouch for 90 minutes!

Question: Does anyone know what happened to Cassandra after Dr. Frasier died?

scaryterri Premium member

Chosen answer: Cassandra is not mentioned in any of the episodes after the one where Dr Frasier dies. The show does not tell us what happened to her.

Question: This film is called something else in the UK (Deception) because Reindeer Games isn't a phrase used in the UK - what does Reindeer Games mean?

ania hill

Chosen answer: Originally from the line in the Christmas carol "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer," it has come to mean both (a) any activity from which one is intentionally excluded and (b) tricks undertaken with the point of irritating or harassing the subject - as in: "Oh, they want to play reindeer games with me, do they? Well, I'll show them."

Rooster of Doom

Question: I'm sorry if I'm too vague on locating the scene, but when we see Samara sitting with her hands on her knees in the chair in the blank room, why is there a plug right by her feet?

Chosen answer: They're monitoring her vitals.

Question: Why, on the cover of the video and DVD of Daddy Day Care, is there a dog when there is no dog in the film?

Chosen answer: This dog belongs to the Klingon kid - he brings it in when it is Pet Day.

Kirsty Marshall

Question: Does anybody know exactly what sort of flowers Domino holds and uses as weapons? I know she calls herself the Black Tulip, but I watched Mewtwo's Return in Japanese, and she called herself the Black Rose. They do look more like tulips, but they could be rosebuds. so were my subtitles wrong, or was this changed for the American dub?

Chosen answer: 4Kids Entertainment (The US Distributor) has been extremely notorious for changing alot of Japanese References and "Americanizing" them (e.g. Riceballs = Doughnuts). Perhaps "Black Tulip" sounded better than "Black Rose."

The One Where Underdog Gets Away - S1-E9

Question: What is the name of the song playing when all the pictures of Joey are being shown all over Manhattan? It's by The Police.

Chosen answer: The song is called "Don't Stand So Close to Me".

LuMaria 1

Question: I read in Teen Beat that one of the actors calls Emma Watson by her real name but they did not mention who did or which scene it was done in. Do you know? Thanks.

Chosen answer: There may have been some crossed wires. It was believed in the Whomping Willow scene that Emma Watson called Rupert Grint by his real name, but has since been proven to be untrue.

Season 3 generally

Question: Why is everyone so convinced that Tony will be spending at least 20 years in prison, if he's not executed? Considering all that he's been through during the day, including nearly being killed and nearly losing his wife to a horrible virus, and then seeing terrorists trying to take out her eye, wouldn't he stand a great chance at a temporary insanity plead?

Chosen answer: It's because he put Michelle's life and safety ahead of National Security (he even admits this when he's questioned by Brad Hammond from Divison). If you think about it, it's more than reminiscent of Jack's attempts to save Kim and Teri in Season 1.

Question: Is there anyone who knows the English translation for the latin that Merrin speaks to Sara right after she dies in the end?

Chosen answer: I do. It's just the Latin form of the Ritual Absolution in the Initial Rites from the Mass, applied to the second singular person (it is said with "us", instead of "you"), though it should not be used there with Sarah. In those situations, the proper absolution is the one that belongs to the Sacrament of Reconciliation or, instead, a simple blessing. The translation is: May Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive your sins and lead you to eternal life.

Question: I watched the directors cut and there was not wedding scene. I heard about it, but didn't see the original, so I was wondering what happened, who it was between and why it was cut.

Chosen answer: The unrated, director's cut that I purchased has the wedding scene (between Guinevere and Arthur) though it does have an alternate ending without the wedding. However, rumor has it that the scene was added against the director's wishes to make it more family friendly and provide a happy ending. Perhaps your version is more in align with the director's original vision.

Question: It has been shown that the alien takes on part of the host traits as it matures on the inside the host body. It becomes a cross breed, EVERY TIME. So unless it has been breading with the same host (humans) over eons how can this race survive and reproduce? Over just a few generations it would have evolved so far in so many direction it would fail to exist as a alien.

Chosen answer: Well, the alien warriors don't breed, so any traits that they might take on are irrelevent. The Queens are the key - one plausible explanation is that the Queens don't take on the host traits, or that they only take on those traits that are useful to them - they get incorporated into the species, improving them while still conforming to the basic alien structure. Also possible is that the Queens do take on some traits from their host, but that their reproductive system is isolated from this - i.e. the eggs produced are the same no matter what additional traits the Queen producing them might have. This would allow each newly hatched alien to take on traits relevent to its environment, without hampering the overall progress of the species.

Question: I have a question about the infected people in this movie. I understand that they attack anything/anyone that moves, but why don't they attack each other? There's something about this on the correction page but it really didn't answer my question.

Chosen answer: The goal of any virus is simply to propagate, they really have no other purpose. They attack only non-infected people simply to infect them, they dont bother attacking each other as there's no point in it.

Question: How many different Power Ranger TV shows/movies have there been? To my knowledge, I know of at least 7 different series, but I think there is more. How do they all connect?

Chosen answer: According to the IMDB, there are currently 10 different series (with an 11th premiering in 2006). And, as far as I can tell, there have been only two theatrically released movies. All of the series, with the exception of the first one (that premiered back in '93) are spin-offs of the original, and they all share similar plot lines, characters, etc.

Question: What political party do Matt and Trey affiliate themselves with, and is it known who they supported in the '04 election?

Chosen answer: When asked about what group they associated themselves with they replied, "I think we're like most people, just down the middle with our personal political affiliation". As for the '04 election I don't believe they supported either publically.

Question: What is the 'lost in translation' scene with Robbie Coltrane about? (is it actually a reference the the Bill Murray film?).

Chosen answer: A "lost in translation" is a kind of con - Danny, Rusty and Matsui basically pulled a prank on Linus to make him feel like he didn't know what they were talking about when, in fact, they were just speaking gibberish.

Steph_Jared

Almost right. Actually, Danny, Rusty and Matsui weren't just speaking nonsense, all the conversation contain their plan.

Question: Why does Vivica Fox start crying when she sees fried chicken on the table?

Chosen answer: In a storyline that was not shown but discussed vaguely, Vivica's character lost her first child one day while her husband (LL Cool J) was at work. The only thing she had to put the child in was an empty bucket of chicken. So the bucket of chicken on the table brought back horrible memories for her.
