Question: Now i don't know much about missiles and such, but in the scene where the Israeli fighter jet is carrying the nuclear warhead, and is then shot down, well wouldn't the bomb blast that destroyed the plane also detonate the nuke attached as well? correct if i am wrong.

Chosen answer: Nope. A nuclear detonation requires a highly specific sequence of events to occur within the bomb - an explosion nearby wouldn't come close to producing those conditions. The construction of a nuclear bomb requires components to be placed in a highly specific configuration - damage to the bomb would disrupt that configuration and make it effectively impossible for the bomb to go off.

Question: Why didn't Timothy Dalton make any more Bond movies after this one?

Chosen answer: Dalton was still contracted to play Bond in the next Bond film, Goldeneye. However, due to legal battles between MGM and EON productions, the film was delayed so long that Dalton simply lost interest and quit his role. He said afterwards in 2007 that, "I was supposed to make one more but it was cancelled because MGM and the film's producers got into a lawsuit which lasted for five years. After that, I didn't want to do it any more."

Question: When the fellowship enters the Mines of Moria, they see all of the dead Dwarfs on the ground, and Legolas says "Goblins", and draws an arrow. What are Goblins, and why are they never shown in the movie?

rstill

Chosen answer: Actually they are shown in the movie. Goblins is simply a term used for the smaller breeds of Orc that tend to inhabit the subterranean places like Moria. They tend to be somewhat more intelligent and cunning than their larger siblings, to compensate for their lesser strength - a trait that Saruman and Sauron took advantage of when creating their warrior Orc breeds, the ones referred to as Uruk-Hai. Despite their physical and intellectual differences, all three, Orcs, Uruk-Hai and Goblins, are the same species.

Question: According to imdb.com, the woman who provided Snow White's voice in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs also provides the voice for a character named Juliet in this film. Does anyone know who this is supposed to be?

Chosen answer: In the film, when we hear a female voice ask, "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" it is in fact Juliet that asks that question - as in "Romeo and Juliet."

Question: What does the title have to do with the story, other than the reference to a work of art? I know many people think that the real Mona Lisa has a mysterious smile, but does that have anything to do with the film?

Krista

Chosen answer: There is a short discussion (I believe between Kirsten Dunst and Julia Roberts) about things not always being what they seem. They are speaking about the girls' lives, but it also is symbolic of the Mona Lisa smile. Whether she is really smiling is left up to the person viewing the portrait: is she smiling because she is happy? Is she trying to cover up grief/sorrow? Is she smiling at all?

Macalou

Question: Can Will Ferrell actually play the flute?

Chosen answer: Yes, he has played the flute since childhood.

Question: What's the name of the song when Vinny and Lisa make their first appearance in the town?

Chosen answer: The song is called "Mind Your Own Business" By Clivilles & Cole.

Question: In the scene where the main girl Erin goes into that trailer and looks at the photo then to the lady who has short hair with the baby she says "That's not your baby. You stole her." Who's baby did she steal? What does that have to do with the girl who shot herself?

Chosen answer: She stole the baby from the woman who shot herself at the beginning of the film.

Question: What is the song that is starting to play when Dewey Finn (Black) is assigning all the kids positions?

Chosen answer: The song playing is "Back in Black" by AC/DC.

Question: I thought I recognised the woman that pushes Forrest in line for the Vietnam veteran demonstration as a cameo of Sandra Bullock, and the woman Jenny as a hippie is playing guitar with (before the guy asks them to go to SF) as a cameo of Lisa Kudrow. Anyone knows whether this is correct?

Answer: The actress you think might be Sandra Bullock is listed as a actress named Hilary Chaplain.

Chosen answer: They are not listed on IMDB as such. Also by 1994, Sandra Bullock's only memorable appearance was Demolition Man (her real popularity started with Speed in 1994), and Lisa Kudrow was only known for the waitress on "Mad About You" - a minor role. Neither would have been a likely choice for a "cameo" role, yet at the same time would probably have charged too much for an extra/walk-on.

Question: During an outtake with the 3 aliens hanging from the roof of the car, one of them asks another if he made it into the first Toy Story movie. The other alien says, "On the letterbox (widescreen) copy." Is this true?

Chosen answer: Um, this is a joke. Pixar reframe their films for full-screen releases, so as not to lose any of the action, so, in terms of aliens appearing, there shouldn't be any difference between the widescreen and full-screen versions.

Question: When Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots are in a barn or something because its raining, Donkey starts singing "Tomorrow", until he falls asleep. What does he say right before he falls asleep?

Question: When Truman is looking at the photo album by himself what is it that he sees in the wedding photo that makes him act oddly around Meryl the next morning?

Chosen answer: In the wedding photo, Meryl has her fingers crossed which means she doesn't agree with what she is doing. Most of the time, when you are lying you cross your fingers. Obviously because she is just an actress, she does not love Truman. The next morning when Meryl leaves, Truman says "I'll cross my fingers for ya" and she looks at him funny.

Question: When Luke ventures into the cave on Dagobah the camera, for whatever reason, holds on a lizard of some kind hissing at him. Anyone know what species it is?

Chosen answer: Kimodo Dragon (Varanus komodensis) The Komodo dragon is the world's largest lizard species. It is found mainly on the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rintja, Padar, and Flores. Tree House of Horror V - S6-E6

Question: Homer travels back in time and causes changes by what he does in the past, like stepping on a bug. I once saw a movie with the same basic plot: some people travel back in time and are told to be careful not to disturb anything, but when they return to their time everything has changed. In the end they discover it was because they stepped on a butterfly. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Chosen answer: I'm not sure if this is the one you're thinking of, but an episode of "Ray Bradbury Theatre," called "A Sound of Thunder," dealt with a similar matter: a group of hunters travel back in time to hunt dinosaurs, only to find things have changed when they get back because someone stepped on a butterfly.

Question: What did Bors shout to Arthur when Arthur was on the hill?

Chosen answer: Answer: Rus in Latin means country or land. The whole movie was based on winning freedom. Fighting and dying to win them their home, their country. Arturius chooses Britain as his land and his countrymen to defend. So Rus in this context, being they are Roman, their battle cry means 'for country', not Rome but Britain. For home.
