Question: I understand what "If you build it, he will come" and "Ease his pain" both mean but what did the voice mean when he said "Go the distance"?

Chosen answer: It wanted him to go to where Archibald Graham lived.

Question: How did Olaf find Anna in the room Hans locked her in?

Chosen answer: He was poking around the castle and by chance found Anna.

Question: After the saber-tooth squirrel named Scrat was eaten by a shark, how did he get out of it?

Chosen answer: Because he is a survivor and this is a cartoon. There were plenty of other times through the series scrat was put in a deadly situation only to return later. In the first movie alone he was trampled by a dinosaur, electrocuted with a lightning bolt, and frozen in ice until he thawed near the volcano thousands of years later.

Question: Why was Elizabeth crying at home when she read the news article?

Chosen answer: She is crying because Simon is back in her life. And she knows that the only reason for that would be that her hypnosis worked. She reads the article and she knows what he has done, even though he isn't aware of it. As we see later in the movie he was not really a nice guy, especially not to her.

Question: Is there a reason why John McClane's previous exploits aren't mentioned in this film? He is known, and mentioned for his association with, Nakatomi in DH2 and for Dulles airport and Nakatomi in DH3 but in this one, none of his past "adventures" are mentioned bar a couple of subtle almost hidden quotes (eg. the agent Johnson scene). Is this due to any kind of copyright thing or ownership issues between the films or just that they weren't mentioned by any characters? Just seems strange to me that the previous exploits aren't talked about even a little bit.

Chosen answer: The screenwriters probably felt it was unnecessary to keep rehashing the same old information in every film. It becomes tedious and stale to an audience that is already familiar with the franchise's story line. For anyone who has not seen the previous movies, it would probably be meaningless.

Question: When someone dies in the dome, the body is taken away by a hovercraft. At the end, Katniss' body is taken by what seems the same hovercraft, which can do this because the dome collapsed. If so, how can the hovercraft enter the dome in the earlier scenes?

Chosen answer: It is not the same hovercraft. It is one that was either stolen or otherwise obtained by the growing rebellion faction that had planned Katniss' rescue. For the other hovercraft that have regularly retrieved the dead tributes, it can be assumed that one is already stationed inside the arena for this purpose or there is an entryway into the dome that one can fly in and out of.

Question: Who played Al Dutcher? He was the bank robber in the clown mask who was killed in the first few minutes.

Chosen answer: The Internet Movie Database lists actor-stuntman Fred Scheiwiller as the cast member who played Al Dutcher. Scheiwiller had a fairly impressive filmography as a supporting actor before his death in 2001. http://m.imdb.com/title/tt0069865/fullcredits/cast.

Charles Austin Miller

Question: Julie starts getting "stuff" in the mail from her readers. But when you do a blog, you wouldn't put your address in there, would you?

kh1616

Chosen answer: It's entirely possible that she got a PO Box, which would allow her to receive goodies and keep her address private at the same time.

Question: When reaching Elsa's ice palace, Anna asks Kristoff and Olaf to wait outside the palace while she goes in to find her sister. Yet, Olaf follows Anna in to meet the Snow Queen, and then Kristoff comes to defend Anna as Elsa strikes her in the heart with her magic. While Kristoff and Olaf were supposed to wait at the front door, Anna and Olaf follow Elsa up the stairs and into another room. How did Kristoff figure what might happen in that room? Why doesn't Kristoff or Olaf wait at the front door like Anna asked them to anyway? Also, when Kristoff tells Anna not to throw a snowball at the snow monster, why does she act calm and suddenly do the opposite of what Kristoff says?

Chosen answer: Olaf follows Anna into the castle because a) the minute he agreed to wait was over, and Olaf takes things LITERALLY, b) he was eager to meet Elsa, his creator, in person (hell, who wouldn't) ? c) he's a very impulsive person and probably just acted on impulse. Kristoff went into the castle mainly out of concern for Anna - a lot of people are just not quite convinced Elsa would never hurt her sister. Besides, people tend to not obey orders but act on their free will. Snowmonster snow fight: Anna acts calmly so that Kristoff will let her go, convincing him she won't throw the snowball and taking the first chance to do so anyway.

Question: Which one of the lord's ships do the triplets stow away on?

Chosen answer: Based on the fact that the ship they are on is in the middle and Lord Macintosh's ship was in the middle, it's fair to say they were on Lord Macintosh's ship.

Question: Why did Bilbo decide to leave the Shire?

Chosen answer: His exposure to the Ring kept him looking young, but he still felt very old. He knew he was reaching the end of his life and he wanted one more small adventure before he was too weary to have one. So he set out for Rivendell to spend his days a guest in the House of Elrond.

Question: Where did that engine comes from which causes Donnie's death? If he had returned the engine to the PU than how could the plane crash when his sister and mother were still in their room? And Just Before Donnie died why did he laugh? Was it because of his awareness of what's gonna happen in the future?

Towhid Chowdhury Faiaz

Chosen answer: His mother and sister didn't need to be on the plane for it to crash and the engine traveled back in time regardless of whether Donnie was in his room or not. But by staying in his room to die, Donnie saved his mother's and sister's lives since they cancelled their trip on account of his death, and prevented many other deaths. The one downside seems to be that the child pornographer would remain uncaught, but 10 days after the PU is restored, he commits suicide by shooting himself in the head.

The Rings of Akhaten - S7-E9

Question: In Season 7 Episode 10 (and others) it's said that the TARDIS has a sort of "universal translator", even after the TARDIS leaves the submarine, they can understand and speak Russian. How come in this episode, they can't understand the aliens, for the most part, as they come out as a bunch of grunts, even though the TARDIS is in the area?

Leah Novak

Chosen answer: The only one that grunts is Dor'een, the alien trying to sell the moped. The reason for this could be the same reason why the TARDIS does not translate baby, horse or tree, to the others. A plot device just to show off the Doctor's intelligence.

MasterOfAll

Answer: The TARDIS is shown to dislike Clara, and could very likely be giving her issues with the translation for that reason. Also, because it's funny to see the Doctor barking like a dog.

Question: Tokyo Drift is set after 5 and 6, so why is it that Han is stealing money from D.K in Tokyo Drift, despite the fact that he had $10,000,000 after the end of Fast Five? even factoring in the cars, garage and everything else he had, he would still be loaded.

Andy Jon Martin

Chosen answer: He might possibly have money left over, or not. We don't know. He could have lost a fortune betting on races. He could have lost money selling cars (since it is extremely rare to sell a customized car for anything approaching what you put into it), he could have had previous debts he had to pay off. There's no reason to suspect he'd still have a lot of the $10,000,000 left over. Also, to some you can NEVER have enough money. So honestly, it's not all that surprising or far-fetched for a person to want to make more money regardless of whatever way they decide to go about getting it and regardless of how much money they may already have. Just like when millionaires invest in things, despite already having millions. It could be a way to not only make sure they are set and comfortable no matter what could ever happen or come up (legal issues, accidents, just anything that could possibly happen that could end up costing a great deal of money) that could possibly eventually run a person's pocket dry if all they ever relied on was that set amount of 10,000,000 if they never expanded it. As well as, making sure his children, grandchildren, any other family member (s), or even friend (s) are and will always remain comfortable and set for life the way he has done for himself.

Question: Do Carrie and her mother go to hell?

Chosen answer: It was never revealed what happened to their souls after they died.

raywest Premium member

Answer: It's unknown what happens to Mrs. White but, at the end of the novel, a woman says that her daughter has been showing telekinetic abilities and is actually very accepting of this. This implies that Carrie had been reincarnated and been born into a more loving family.

Question: In the altered timeline, Flash initially could not travel through time because there was another speedster. How was he able to travel through time in the original timeline, when Zoom was alive there as well?

Chosen answer: Flash couldn't travel through time later in the movie not because Zoom was alive but because Zoom was also tapping into the Speed Force, preventing Flash from gathering enough of the Speed Force to break the Time Barrier. When Flash originally went back in time it's likely because Zoom was in custody, therefore not tapping into the Speed Force at that time.

Answer: Batman kills Zoom so the Flash could use the speed force.
