Question: When Obi-wan says that Anakin saved him for the ninth time instead of the tenth, because the business on some planet doesn't count, what is he referring to?

Answer: He is referring to an incident on Cato Nemoidia, the home planet of the Nemoidians. It's not shown in the film, but, if I remember correctly, it is told in the novel Labyrinth of Evil.

Question: This might be just me, but at the beginning of the movie, Grievous seemed to especially not like Obi-wan. If so, what was his grudge against him?

Answer: By nature, Grievous hates every Jedi due to their role in defeating his people during their war with the Huk, a conflict known as the "Huk War." As far as Obi-Wan goes, Grievous and Kenobi encountered each other many times during the Clone Wars in battle and duelled each other prior to Utapau. He has a history with Obi-Wan, and also likely views Kenobi's status as "The Negotiator" with contempt.

Question: What reason did the bounty hunter (Leia in disguise) have for staying in Jabba's palace overnight? Wouldn't Jabba expect the person to leave after getting the payment for Chewbacca?

Answer: Not necessarily. Jabba's palace is sort of an entertainment hub for the likes of Boushh (the bounty hunter Leia is disguised as). Jabba runs the place like a business, sort of a hotel/club.

Question: In the episode with Uncle Earl in it, what happened at the end when Miley tried to help him out of the chair?

Answer: He falls and breaks the chair, landing on the deck.

Question: At the beginning of the film, when Indy's first shown, he says "Russians" upon seeing the Soviets. Weren't the Soviets just called Soviets and not Russians (since the Soviet Union still existed)?

Answer: While "Soviets" would probably be considered the official term, "Russians" was still widely used as a descriptive term, as Russia was by far the largest and most dominant state in the Union. The two terms were effectively interchangeable during that period.

Chosen answer: No particular reason why they couldn't if they wanted to. The gesture goes back into antiquity - the origins of the gesture are completely unknown, so they would be aware of it. It certainly wouldn't be the done thing for a well-brought-up young lady to do, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't if the situation appeared to warrant it.

Exactly. There have always been people who display behaviors that are not "proper" or standard for the time. Another example is Cal and Rose having sex despite not being married yet. Considering his comments about her being "his wife in practice" and him asking why she didn't come to his room one night.

Actually, in Edwardian times, it was considered acceptable for upper class engaged couples to be sexually intimate before being married.

Question: At the very end of the movie, when Sy's camera ends up having only photos of "the little things" as opposed to the pictures of the other characters pretending to have sex, I interpreted it as Sy not having actually TAKEN pictures of the couple, but really taking pictures of the room itself, on purpose - so that the pictures wouldn't get out, but instead he would just be giving them what he feels they deserved. However, on a couple other websites I have found the ending interpreted as Sy having hidden or disposed of the film that he took the lewd photographs with. Are either of these considered to be "correct"?

Answer: There is a line from the cop at the very beginning of the film in the interview room with Cy "We processed the roll of film we found in your bag Mr. Parish, they're not very pretty pictures. Also you left a camera in the hotel, we processed that roll as well. "As he talks about the second roll he indicates the folder containing the photos we see at the end. Therefore we can assume the "not very pretty photos" found on the roll of film in the bag are the lewd ones of the pretend sex acts. Whether he left the other ones behind as a cover or what he intended to do with the lewd ones we can but guess.

Question: Healy tries to impress Mary by pretending to be an architect, drugging the dog, getting new teeth, liking the same movies, and by saying he works with handicapped children. Why then would he call them "r***rds" and say he keeps one in a cage and puts him on a leash like a dog?! Wouldn't he think this would piss Mary off? I never understood that scene and why he would say this.

Carl Missouri

Answer: Because he is ignorant and doesn't know anything about disabled people, he actually doesn't realise what he is saying is offensive.

Chosen answer: Apparently he didn't consider that - either he's just being an idiot or he's trying to make an extremely ill-considered joke. Either way, that's a character mistake, not a movie mistake.

Question: What is the song playing when Tony is working on his hotrod and then Pepper walks in and turns it off?

Answer: It's called "Institutionalized" by The Suicidal Tendecies.

Pretty, Pretty Dresses - S3-E9

Question: Why did this episode show a scene first (where the guys are standing outside and Bill starts crying) and then the theme song and opening credits for the show? Almost all of the other episodes have the theme song and credits first, then the entire show.

Answer: In a number of episodes especially in the first few seasons, there was every now and then a short scene before the episode. One for example was "Bills were made to be broken". The guys are listening to the radio and all run home to enter the competition that is announced. Boomhauer uses his cellphone and answers the question before it goes to the opening theme and credits.

Lummie

Question: I heard that, originally, the relationship between Indiana and Mutt was going to be unstated and ambiguous (rather than being outright confirmed). Is there any truth to this, or is it just rumour?

Answer: Just a rumor. The earliest drafts involved a daughter, who was obviously later changed to a son, but the intention to reveal the child as Indy's was always present.

Question: The Soviets are led to the temple by a trail of dropped "bleepers". Is this a reference to the trail of M&Ms that Elliot leaves for ET in "ET"?

Answer: Doubtful. Dropping breadcrumbs was in in Hansel & Gretel. The breadcrumbs here are just fancier.

Question: Since Pan can change his shape, what kind of animal is the raccoon-looking form he takes?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: In the books he favored a white ermine. They seem to have changed his color and markings for the film, but the animal species remains the same.

Question: IMDB list Dan Aykroyd as playing the character of Earl Weber. I just watched this movie and couldn't find this character nor anybody who looked like Dan Aykroyd. Did I miss anything? Where in the movie is he?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: Dan Akroyd plays the official who escorts Jones, Willie, and Short Round to the Lao Che's plane after the car chase near the start. He has a few lines but his voice is somewhat different and that makes him a little harder to recognize.

Question: After Vincent shoots Max's muggers and returns to the taxi, he asks Max where the button is. What button is he referring to?

Answer: The button he is referring to is the "hazards" light button. Max triggered it when trying to draw attention to himself in the cab.

I figure when he shot those goons he might've put them in the trunk, because as far as I know chances of a button for opening the trunk is way higher under the dash than of a hazard light button.

Question: Why don't the Pevensies put their shoes back on before climbing up to explore the ruins?

Answer: I'm sure they do. But to advance the storyline in the time they have, it's time consuming for the filmmakers to show that. We just have to suspend our disbelief and assume.

Question: When they are in the Soviet jungle camp, Indy is shown an alien whose skull is crystal on an 'operating table.' But I thought the last crystal skull was in the bag the Soviets were holding onto. If that's the case, then they had two crystal skulls, not one, right?

Answer: They had at least one skull (and body) from the spaceship crash in Roswell, but they needed a specific skull - the one from one of the original alien visitors.

Question: Perhaps I've forgotten some details from The Last Crusade in the years since I've seen it, but shouldn't Henry Sr. not be dead in this movie, because he drank from the Holy Grail which gives immortality?

Answer: Yep, you've forgotten some details. The Knight specifically states that the immortality bestowed by the Grail is limited to those who remain within the shrine. Jones Snr left the cave, ergo, no immortality.

Question: In the episode where Timmy's baby teeth are loose and Jorgen wants to rip them out painfully, why wouldn't Timmy just wish for them to be out? He could save himself a lot of pain and worrying that way, right?

Answer: Cosmo and Wanda can't help because all tooth related wishes are under the jurisdiction of the ToothFairy.

Question: I was just wondering, when the satellite hits the water at the last scene, in the background in the ferris wheel, wouldn't it have cooled way before it hit sea floor? I mean, someone would have obviously found some sort of large egg nest unless it wasn't at the bottom of the ocean. And if so, the satellite would have cooled way before it hit bottom. So how would it have heard or awakened the creatures if they were so far down? And if they were not all the way at the bottom of the ocean, how is it possible that no one has discovered these large eggs close to the bays of New York?

Answer: I'm afraid this is an unfair question, as the creature's origin is never confirmed. Your theory is just that. A theory. Unless this is confirmed in a future movie, there will never be a definitive answer.
