Chosen answer: "Sibling Rivalry", Season 4, Episode 22.

Question: I know that JJ is/was the media liaison for the team we as the audience follow; but a few times other teams have been mentioned. So is she the liaison for the other teams too? (She seemed to go with the team most of the time on their cases).

Answer: Having seen just about every episode, as well as the spinoff (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, which focuses on a different team) it seems like she ONLY works with her team, being the liaison and media specialist for them only. The other team didn't have anyone in that capacity, choosing their cases on their own. And since that team specializes in crimes happening now, not after the fact like the original team, they have no need for that position.

Kimberly Mason

Question: In Godric's Hollow, it shows James and Lily's date of death to be in 1981, which would mean these events are taking place in 1997 when Harry would be 17 and the original Harry Potter book would be set around 1991. Is this a mistake or deliberate on JK Rowling's part?

Answer: This is deliberate, and when the books are actually set.

Question: After Phillip frees her, why did Syrena then go to find the chalices and give them to Jack Sparrow? She could have just left and taken Phillip with her.

raywest

Chosen answer: She most likely went to stop the ritual, she probably didn't want her tear to be used by the likes of Blackbeard. She knew that Jack would use it wisely.

Question: I didn't get it, but who was the "ghost" deer that led Harry to the pond with the Griffindor sword in it? Or why did it lead him there?

Mortug

Chosen answer: It's not a ghost. It's a patronus, like the one Harry conjured in "The Prisoner of Azkaban," to save Sirius Black. Every wizard's patronus takes a different animal form. An as yet unknown ally (revealed in part 2, and the book) sent the doe patronus to lead Harry to where the Sword of Gryffindor was hidden.

Question: It boggles my mind as to why Newt runs away from the Marines when she first meets them. She's been living alone for God knows how long and the Marines are the first people she's seen and her only thought is to get as far away from them as possible. Why on LV-426 would she do this?

Brad

Chosen answer: Because she's a child, her family and everyone she knows has been horribly killed, and she's terrified and traumatized. She does not know or trust anyone, least of all big scary Marines who are carrying huge weapons.

raywest

Answer: She said it herself. She knows they won't help her and staying with them is probably just get her killed.

Answer: Maybe she is scared that they could be infected. She probably saw a chest burst-er come out of one of the colonists and she is traumatized.

Question: What did Obi-Wan mean when he said to Vader "You can't win, Vader. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine"? Also when he said "Strike me down", did he specifically mean taking Obi-Wan's life?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Yes, he meant take Obi-Wan's life. By killing him, Vader would release Obi-Wan from his body allowing him to follow and advise Luke wherever he goes.

Phixius

I believe that Obi-wan would also win because he was willing to "let go" in this situation. Helping Luke was more important than destroying Vader right now.

Question: What is the point of having Reuben in the gang? What does he do? Provide them with money? Because everyone else has at least one job, except for him.

yagoduppel

Chosen answer: Yes. He's bankrolling the heist.

Captain Defenestrator

Question: Is the cloning their explanation for why, in the series, Aeon Flux died in every episode? If not, I'd say she's Kenny McCormick's descendant.

dizzyd

Chosen answer: Although the scenario does happen in the episode "A Last Time for Everything", this is not the case. The creators intentionally left the series without a direct continuity as a satire of the action genre.

LorgSkyegon

Question: Although they only show Ray Finkle/ Lois Einhorn exposed to the cops, what exactly would be his/her comeuppance? Would he/she be sent back to Shady Acres Mental Hospital or to a state prison?

Answer: That would depend entirely on how she and her lawyer chose to plead, and what the judge and jury decided. It's outside the scope of the movie.

Question: Was Smith being "set free" also part of the architects plan? What were the other choices for the other "chosen ones"? How are the 23 chosen, and are they given the tools to build Zion? Do they wake up in a Zion? I don't get that.

Zema

Chosen answer: No. Return to the Source or return to the Matrix. The One chooses them and yes. They are woken by the One (like Neo was by Morpheus) and taken to Zion.

Question: How exactly does an escaped male mental patient who's posing as a woman a) work as a police officer without having violent mood swings most of the time, b) acquire money for breast implants and c) avoid a single physical examination that would have exposed his penis?

Answer: Just because someone has been institutionalized doesn't mean they have mood swings. If this was a manic episode (which it appears to be) there wouldn't be any swings at all. Just manic all the time. It wouldn't last forever, but its different for everyone. As for the money, plastic surgery can be financed! and we don't know if s/he had money stashed away beforehand. And for the last question, I just don't know. Not very likely, but some people get through lots of physical testing that shouldn't. Possibly documents were forged? Just speculation on my part.

Kimberly Mason

Answer: The money came from her pro football career, She stole an identity to become a police officer.

Question: In the scene where Hal, Rosemary, the cripled friend, and Nurse "Sourpuss" go out of town, Hal and his friend got to buy snacks leaving Rosemary and "Sourpuss" to talk. There is a scene where thy cut to the front of the car and Nurse "Sourpuss" is now good looking. So is that her real look and Hal only sees her as old and ugly?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: Yes. Just as Hal sees many unattractive and/or overweight women to be thin and beautiful due to their true personalities, he sees Nurse "Sourpuss" - who is a beautiful woman - to be old and ugly due to hers.

Jeff Swanson

Answer: At that point Hal and his friend had already turned their backs and went to the store so Hal was not even looking at her.

Answer: I thought maybe Hal's outlook was rubbing off on Rosemary and Rosemary was seeing that less than attractive woman as pretty.

Question: I heard they did film an alternative ending, but it was only shown once in a preview session in San Bernadino. In it, Jack swam to and climbed on to the iceberg. He found a polar bear, killed it and ate it and wore its fur until the iceberg floated close to shore. He then swam to land and trekked to an inuit village. They nursed him back to health and 5 years after the crash he found his way back to Rose. If this is true, where can i find it?

Answer: Not even slightly true. And utterly ridiculous. The only known alternate ending is simply a longer version of the existing one, where, before Old Rose throws the diamond into the ocean, Brock and some of his crew try to talk her out of it. Rose convinces Brock to let her do it, explaining that real treasure lies in love, family and friends rather than in jewels. She lets him hold the diamond briefly, then takes it from him and throws it overboard.

Tailkinker

Question: When Tess reveals to Jane that she has booked the Boat House as the location of the wedding she explains that she was only able to book it because of a cancellation. She then goes on to give details of that cancellation. How would she know those details and why would the people that booked her even give her those details or even know them at all themselves? Those things seem private even if it is based on fictional events.

Answer: I'm sure the person in charge of booking the location has these details. Sure it was unprofessional to give these details out, but it happens all the time.

Kimberly Mason

Question: At the end of the movie, when Elizabeth and Will are on the island, why does Elizabeth have to stay on the island? Why can't she stay on the boat with either the Black Pearl or with Will?

feathersl

Chosen answer: She doesn't really have to stay on the island. But that is her home, it's where she is raising her son. Living on a pirate boat is not the kind of life she wants for her son, and she can't stay with Will because he has to ferry those who die at sea to the afterlife. Elizabeth and her son can't follow him there or they would risk death too.

Question: Is Barricade (the Ford Mustang police cruiser) ever mentioned or shown in this film? Or do we still don't know what happened to him after the first movie?

Friso94

Chosen answer: He has not been seen since the first film. However, according to the comics that take place between the movies, Barricade has been working reconnaissance ever since the first film.

Question: In the scene where Juno is talking to Adam and Barbara in her office, look out the window behind Adam and Barbara. There is a group of people who look like they are watching TV and eating popcorn. One of them looks like Otho, wearing a suit and sunglasses. Is there any significance to this?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: It's not meant to be Otho. It's a theater full of ghosts. The idea being that, when this film was still in theaters itself, the audience got the impression that they themselves were being watched by ghosts on "the other side" who were also at a viewing of Beetlejuice, watched from the opposite perspective.

Phixius

Question: Anyone have any idea why Rose decided to try and outrun the police officer? It didn't appear Rose did anything illegal, so it seems she could have just waited to see why she was pulled over and then continue on her way.

Answer: It's illegal to enter Silent Hill and Rose knew the officer would try to stop her.

Phixius

Why is it illegal to enter Silent Hill?

The air is toxic from the coal fires. Too much of a potential for people to get hurt or die by going in for too long.

Question: I'm not sure if this should be a question or an error: when Alice is flying her plane and giving the latitude/longitude co-ordinates, shouldn't those numbers change because she is moving?

Answer: They would, yes, but it's just like when you tell someone what time it is. You state the time it was when you began speaking or when they asked, you don't count the seconds out loud as you speak. Just as Alice stated her coordinates as they were when she began to give them.
