Question: At the very end when Lisa is a gym instructor, when they pan from her feet up, on VHS and on my DVD the Rocky theme is played. But whenever I see it on cable, the Weird Science theme is played instead. Why is this?

Carl Missouri

Chosen answer: They probably only had permission to use the song at the cinema and take home releases, so when shown on broadcast TV they'd have to use another song.

Question: Did Slevin actually suffer from Ataraxia? He lied about most things, and I couldn't be certain about that.

Chosen answer: No, like the rest of his "cover" (being mugged, being a friend of Nick's) he made it up. It was simply a way to plausibly explain why he was so calm through everything, when in fact he was calm because it was all part of his plan.

Jason Hoffman

Question: Why does Maroni know where the Joker will be "this afternoon"? He tells Gordon in the hospital as Gordon visits Dent. And why comes the Chechen visit the Joker in the warehouse? From who does HE know where the Joker is? Did the Joker tell them where he keeps the money? And if he did so: why did he tell them where it was if he just wants to burn it?

Chosen answer: He knows because the Joker invited him. The Chechen, as well. The Joker invites them over there to tell them that he's taking over, exactly as we see him do with the Chechen. The burning of the money is to make the point that he doesn't care about the same things that they obsess over.

Question: The old man remarks that he was struck by lightning seven times. I recall him talking about six different times, does he ever talk about the seventh? Also, when were the times that he was struck?

Chosen answer: Here are the "strikes": fixing a leaky roof, while checking the mail, milking the cow, driving his car, minding his own business in a field, taking a dog for a walk, and then at the end there was no "story", but he was by a fence (just before the credits). I believe these are correct.

Question: Did Harvey Dent die? I've heard theories that he did die, but I've heard that he didn't die but they told everyone that he did because they didn't want people to know that he became a villain. I was just wondering which one is true.

Chosen answer: According to Aaron Eckhart, he has been told specifically by director Christopher Nolan that Harvey was killed in the fall, so he would not be back in any potential follow-up film.

Question: Exactly what Bach music plays at Professor Barnhardt's that Klaatu seems to be impressed so much by? And, what Latin phrase is shown hanging from the wall in his (Nobel?) prize plaque?

Chosen answer: The Latin phrase on the Nobel prize: "Inventas Vitam Juvat Excoluisse Per Artes" means "Let us improve life through science and art"

Question: When Klaatu and Professor Barnhardt are writing on the black board together, are they solving something that we just haven't solved yet, and so answering this question is hopeless, or does anybody know what it is they are supposedly solving, it looks to be something to do with an event horizon.

Chosen answer: As in the original 1951 movie, Professor Barnhardt has an equation on the board that suggests (theorizes) that space travel through inter-dimensional universes is possible. Klaatu solves the mathematical equation thereby proving that, not only is it possible, but that's how he got there. This was brought out in the original movie.

Answer: The equation Klaatu finds on the professor's blackboard is real - an in joke for mathematicians: the "Three Body Problem" seeks to account for all possible relationships among three objects in space (Landon 85).

Question: I wanted to ask that, when James had bitten Bella, then the venom/poison was left in Bella's arm and Edward had to suck it out later, but why didn't Edward leave the venom in Bella's arm? They both (James and Edward) sucked Bella's blood and James left venom, but Edward did not. How is that possible?

Chosen answer: Edward wants Bella to remain human and experience life from the human point of view. As for them sucking her blood... James actually bit Bella, thus causing venom to enter to blood stream. Edward did not bite Bella; he simply sucked on the open wound to remove the venom from Bella's system.

Question: Why does the soldier who helped Perez "kill" the computer not receive a metal, yet Perez does? Jerry, Ethan, Tom, and Perez all get metals, but he is excluded though he played a big part in stopping ARIA.

Chosen answer: Simply put: That's politics.

Question: Was Mulder's beard supposed to have some sort of meaning/symbolism? I know it wasn't a big theme in the movie anyway, but I didn't understand why it was even put into the story at all.

Chosen answer: It shows how Mulder's character has changed since he left the FBI. Previously he was eager, rather obsessive/compulsive, and always well groomed. He's a far different man now--isolated, adrift, and far less concerned with day-to-day matters. This is reflected in his current appearance.

Question: Does anyone know why only the 20th season is available on I-tunes?

Chosen answer: Most likely it is due to licencing rights. Some artists have only got half of their back catalog on itunes.

Question: In the scene where Batman shows Lucius his giant sonar thing, why is he talking in his big scary voice? Lucius knows who he is, so why does he bother disguising his voice?

Chosen answer: It's habit, and a sensible one at that. When he's in the mask, when he's being Batman, he uses the voice, even if the person he's with knows who he is. If he drops back to his normal voice with some people, it sets the precedent for using it while wearing the cowl, which means that he's more likely to slip up and use it around people who don't know, potentially revealing his true identity. If he sticks rigidly to using the voice when kitted up as Batman, regardless of situation, it minimises that possibility.

Question: When Dooku and Obi-wan are fighting, Dooku says that Yoda holds Obi-wan in such high esteem. But how would he know that if he left the Jedi Order years ago and probably hasn't been talking to Yoda for a while?

Chosen answer: Though not stated in the films, Dooku had been a member of the Jedi Order until sometime after Qui-Gon Jin's death. But probably also after Obi-Wan was given the title of Jedi Knight and Anakin his Padawan by Yoda. So Dooku could very well have known Yoda's feelings of esteem, even if it was years ago.

Question: I may have just misunderstood, but when the Russian man talks to the bald man near the end of the movie, he seemed to act as though the brown-haired woman's body was going to be better than the bodies of the other women that had been used before. If so, why was her body more special?

Chosen answer: All of the women's bodies were just temporary. He was telling him that they were going to get him a good permanent body, indicating they would continue to use temporary bodies until they found a good match (presumably male).

Question: After Dooku leaves the fight with Yoda on Geonosis and Padmé arrives, are Obi-wan and Yoda not suspicious about her running to Anakin and hugging and kissing him? Yoda is actually looking in their direction.

Chosen answer: Considering everything that just happened and that Padme has known Anakin since he was a small boy, they probably would not think that much of it other than she is very emotional and is showing concern and relief for an old friend and protector after a particularly stressful situation.

Question: When the asteroid starts breaking up, collisions of rocks make large fiery explosions. What is exploding when rock meets rock - and where does the oxygen for the explosions come from?

Jacob La Cour

Chosen answer: There could be various combustible gases, including oxygen trapped in pockets within the asteroid. When rock meets rock a spark is created that ignites the suddenly released gases.

Question: Why would NASA spend weight and expenses on making the cabin of the armadillo pressurised?

Jacob La Cour

Chosen answer: The cabin of the armadillo was always going to be pressurized. A person really can't perform the work needed in a space suit. Therefore, they presurize the cabin.

Question: Quite at the end of the movie, as Gordon and his men are on top of the building opposite the Prewitt building, Batman talks to him and tells him to wait a few minutes. Then Gordon says that he won't wait because the people on the ferries will blow each other up. But why does he know? The Joker just told the people on the ferries. Batman knew as well because he could hear everything going on on the ferries, but he didn't tell Gordon. So from who does he learn this?

Chosen answer: Someone with a cell phone on one of the ferries might have been able to call out, or The Joker could have broadcast his message on the Police Band as well. Likely the latter, since he likes an audience. Then again no reason Batman couldn't have informed Gordon offscreen.
