Question: What did Sylvia actually die of? I didn't catch it in the movie, if it was there.

Chosen answer: Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her husband died of cancer within a few years of each other (although he was actually alive during Barrie's relationship with his family).

The One After Vegas - S6-E1

Question: In the breakfast scene, Joey is informed that it is a self-serve buffet, and he says "This is where I win my money back." What does this mean? Does he intend to place bets with people about how much he can consume?

Chosen answer: He means he will eat so much of the casino's food that it will make up for the money that he lost to the casino by gambling.

Question: Who were the Army of the Dead and why do they hate everyone?

Chosen answer: During the War of the Last Alliance (the battle against Sauron shown in the prologue), the men who inhabited the White Mountains (those between Gondor and Rohan) swore an oath of allegiance to Isildur. When he called on them to fight, they refused, so Isildur cursed them to walk the paths of the Dead until they redeemed themselves. In time, they all died, but their spirits remained - they were unable to move on to whatever awaits men after their deaths. At the time of the War of the Ring, they've been in this state for three thousand years, which has left them with a deep hatred for the living. Only when Aragorn, Isildur's heir, comes to them and calls upon them to finally fulfil their original oath, are they finally able to move on.

Question: Does anybody know that last name of the family. I have watched almost every episode and I don't think it has ever been mentioned.

Chosen answer: There has been speculation that the last name of Malcolm and his family is "Wilkerson." The name appeared in the title of the pilot script, but Linwood Boomer who wrote the pilot script says the family name has never been disclosed because they didn't want the family to fall into any specific ethnic group. Although on the DVD cover, the episode information refers to them as Wiskerson.

Question: Is the man who married Ivy's sister, Kitty, the same man who was supposed to escort Ivy into the woods, but chickened out before going in?

Chosen answer: Yes. His name is Cristoph Crane.

Question: At the end when David wakes up, who is the woman's voice telling him to open his eyes? Is it just a generic woman from LE, or is it someone more important?

Chosen answer: There's no indication that it's not just one of the people at LE.

Question: For episode 15 of season 11, "Alone in a Crowd", NBC's website lists that Ming-Na stars. However I never saw her in the episode and she's no longer included in the opening credits, hasn't been for several episodes. Can anyone point out to me where in the episode she appeared?

Chosen answer: She is no longer on the show - her last episode was "Twas the Night". They must have not yet taken her out of the opeing credits.

Question: What is the reason for all of the Iodine in the shrimp and if it makes people that sick, why would they put it in there?

Chosen answer: Nobody puts iodine in shrimp. It is a naturally occurring substance in shellfish that some people are allergic to.

Guy

Question: The IMDb lists a cameo by Matt Damon during the attack sequence. Can someone point out exactly where he appears?

Chosen answer: He is in the scene where the smaller air-base is being attacked by the japanese. You have to look really closely but he is the driver of one of the jeeps right before the japanese bomb drops (the one that seems to be a dud and then explodes). Also, Matt seems to be one of the gunners on one of the first ships at Pearl Harbor to return fire (this is not verified but in slo-mo, one of the gunners seems to be him).

Question: When the Beast lets Belle go and she goes back home with her sick father, and "proves" to the village that there really is a Beast via the magic mirror, and Gaston and his posse invade the Beast's castle - How did the anthropomorphic objects and the Beast know that Belle didn't *send* Gaston to kill the Beast? I mean, we know Belle hates Gaston, but the objects and Beast don't know that. For all they know, Belle could have said to Gaston, "There's this beast, and he was keeping me in his castle, and he thinks I like him but I've been faking it."

Chosen answer: I think the simplest answer is that they trust her. Belle showed what kind of a person she was when she volunteered to take her father's place as a prisoner, and also when she returned to the castle with the wounded Beast instead of running away. Plus, the Beast voluntarily released her, and he did treat her kindly most of the time. I think suspecting her of a hidden hatred that would result in sending people to attack the castle would be kind of a stretch.

Question: How did Spooner get Sarah's necklace, if he only saw her passing by in a car?

Chosen answer: He knew way too much about her (he knew her age and what she wanted to be when she grew up) for that to have been the only time. I would suspect that, after the accident, the vehicles were brought out of the water. Knowing the kind of person Spooner is, he probably felt guilty enough that he survived that he went to speak with the family. They probably talked about her a good deal. The family may have given him the necklace. That's just the kind of schmaltzy thing that happens in movies.

Answer: Spooner most likely knew pedigree information about the girl because he not only has access to the police report about the incident, there was likely media coverage about the crash.

Question: Near the end, where you see the Jedi ignite their Lightsabres, Eeth Koth (the one with horns) is shown to have a green Lightsabre. So why in Star Wars: Clone Wars, does he have a red Lightsabre, is it because red = bad guy?

Chosen answer: Without having seen Episode 3, no-one can probably answer this correctly. It can be assumed to be one of two things (1) He has indeed become a "bad guy" or (2) He takes a lightsaber from a "bad guy" and uses it to fight.

Question: There is a short scene with a group of African-American youths on a staircase playing this dice game where they throw the dice and take money, or something along those lines. This game has been featured in many other films. What is this game called, and what exactly do you do in it?

Chosen answer: This is almost exactly like the casino game 'Craps'. Except you are only trying to roll your original number. If you roll a '7' before your original number then you lose. If you roll your original number before the '7', then you win. The other crap rules usually do not apply.

Question: What is it with Rick Masters and shooting people in the face? I counted three deaths that way.

Cubs Fan Premium member

Chosen answer: If you want to be reasonably certain of an instant kill, headshots are the way to go.

Tailkinker Premium member

Answer: Rick can only be implicated in shooting one person in the face, and that is not seen. His henchman shoots two people in the face.

Question: What exactly was Scotty's reason as to why giving the Company boss the formula for the one inch glass wouldn't alter the future? He gave a brief response, but I honestly can't think of any reason why it wouldn't do any future damage.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Scotty says "Why? How do you know he didn't invent the thing!" If the man was in fact the inventor, this would only cause a slight causality loop problem - he "invents" it because they gave it to him, but they only know it because he "invented" it. However, since Sulu said earlier in the movie that it was about 150 years too early for transparent aluminum, it would seem they do know this, so it wasn't a smart thing to do. Of course, the real flaw in the plot is that they need the tank to be transparent at all.

Question: The address for Omni Presents is something like 77526 23rd St. Does anyone know if there's a hidden Biblical or religious reference in those numbers?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: It's 77256 23rd St. The #'s spell out "Psalm" on a phone number pad. So it's Psalm 23 - "The Lord is my Shepherd...".
