Continuity mistake: When Peggy Sue goes to bed after getting drunk, her mother tucks her in. First, you see her pulling on the bed's sheet only but when the camera angle changes, she is suddenly pulling on both the sheet and the bed cover.

Dinner for Schmucks (2010)
Trivia: This is a remake of a very famous French comedy, now a classic, Le dîner de cons (available in English as The Dinner Game), itself based on a play which was subsequently altered to conform to the minor changes made when the original movie was filmed.

A Room with a View (1985)
Continuity mistake: Right after Lucy buys her pictures, she walks on the plaza and takes off her coat, carrying it on her arm. When she starts fainting, George catches her and starts carrying her. Both of her arms are in clear sight and the coat is nowhere to be seen. The shot changes, and then her coat is again wrapped around her right arm, squished between their bodies.

Gamer (2009)
Continuity mistake: After the interview, in a 3/4 back shot, we see Castle putting a lollipop in his mouth. The shot instantly changes to him kissing the host's hand - no lollipop in sight anywhere. It then changes back to the original shot with the lollipop in his mouth.

House, M.D. (2004)
Continuity mistake: Throughout both parts of season 4's finale ("House's Head" and "Wilson's Heart"), Amber is always shown getting hit from the back and sitting facing House, so her seat's back is to the windows. Yet the last time we see the accident, that is, right after she took the flu pills, she is definitely sitting neatly sideways to the window (i.e. the seat is perpendicular to it) and getting hit from the right side. It most likely was done for artistic reasons, as the back shot, shown multiple times, makes for a very neat effect, with her blonde hair flowing around her like sunrays.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Continuity mistake: During Harry's first detention, before he starts writing and while Umbridge is still talking, he's sitting at the desk. He's holding the quill in his right hand, and his left hand and arm are resting on the desk. The shot switches to another angle, and his left arm is immediately off the desk. Umbridge is still talking, so there is no time lapse between the two shots. (00:37:10)

Marie Antoinette (2006)
Revealing mistake: Marie-Antoinette is shown to always be naked under her chemise, as was customary back them. But Kirsten Dunst's underwear can be seen through it many times in the movie, especially when she is going to bed and the chemise stretches over her body.

The Producers (2005)
Continuity mistake: During Ulla's audition, at some point she is behind the desk somewhat bending over Max. Her veil falls down on her left arm. There is then a cut and her veil is back up in its proper position, then in the next cut it's back down as it was two cuts before.

Last Holiday (2006)
Other mistake: When Didier shouts Georgia's order in French after talking about it with the waiter, the subtitles read (among other things) "lobster" when he says "langoustine", and "casserole" when he says "cassoulet". In fact, langoustine is "scampi" (not lobster) and cassoulet is a traditional bean dish from Southern France, not a casserole. Even the waiter had called it "cassoulet" when he recited the menu to Georgia.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000)
Continuity mistake: When Nick "attacks" the kidnapper in the interrogation room, a single tear falls down from the boy's left eye. When the shot changes to a different angle, the tear is coming down from his right eye.

Timeline (2003)
Other mistake: Towards the beginning of the movie, Castelgard is misspelled "Castlegard" on the lab's computer screen when Doniger is first explaining everything to the soon-to-be time-travelling team.

Still Life - S2-E9
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the episode, Van Gogh starts painting blue circles "on" our TV screen (this is the 3D episode). The three circles are big and touch each other. Next shot, seen from a standard point of view, you see him getting back up and the canvas is still on the floor: the circles are smaller and quite far apart.

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Revealing mistake: During the second kiss, you can see behind Gerard Butler's neck (going from under his hair down to his back) the wire of the apparatus used to keep his lower right eyelid pulled down. (02:06:05)

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Continuity mistake: On the Opera House's rooftop, the lining of the Phantom's cape goes from light-coloured to black before and after he jumps on the statue. It has nothing to do with lighting, and his waistshirt proves it: much darker than the cape's original lining, it makes it obvious the cape's turned dark since the waistshirt looks paler against it. The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Deliberate mistake: When the Phantom throws his score for 'Don Juan Triumphant' down the stairs, the portfolio only reads 'Don Juan.' (01:23:20)

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Continuity mistake: The aspect of the Phantom's deformity undergoes a major change between when Christine takes his mask off on stage and the later parts of the movie. (01:55:25 - 02:00:00)

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
Character mistake: When Buquet hangs over the scene, you can see Meg screaming along with three other dancers. Four shots later, Meg is still screaming, but the two girls who were to her right (on the left of the screen) are still dancing, as if they haven't seen Buquet yet. (01:05:10)
