Corrected entry: Just before Jack and Rose return to Cal's room in the scene where Jack is framed for stealing the necklace, Cal says he wants the entire room photographed. Was someone forgetting that this movie is set in 1912, a time when photography was extremely low-key to what it is today?

Corrected entry: After Flynn Sr.'s identity disc is stolen off his back AND then shown in Clu's transport (he has not stolen it back yet), we get a scene lasting several minutes between Flynn Sr., his son, and Quorra, where Flynn Sr. is standing with his back to the camera and his disc - which is supposed to be gone - is still there. When Quorra's disc is off, it is missing, and we do not hear anything about Flynn Sr. being able to spawn a new disc.

Corrected entry: In the shot where Ivan Vanko is looking at his fake passport we can see that his nationality is written as Russkaja in Russian. However that would mean that he is a female.
Correction: No, it means that the Russian word for nationality is feminine. This also happens in French, for example, where nationality would be written as Française, Canadienne, etc. even for a man.

Corrected entry: After Cob and Arthur leave the helicopter towards the start of the movie, there is an overhead shot of a city at night. In this shot there is the Eiffel Tower implying they are in Paris. Soon after, Cob says he is going to Paris to get an Architect yet this is where he already seems to be.
Correction: It's not the Eiffel Tower: it's Tokyo Tower.

Corrected entry: When the large French thug reappears, he says "Tu m'as manqué?" and the subtitles read "Did you miss me?" This is a very common anglophone mistake - a native French speaker would actually say "Je t'ai manqué?", which would translate literally to "was I missing to you?" but has the idiomatic meaning of "Did you miss me?
Correction: This is not totally true. This was a pun-only in English, though: "Did you miss me" meant both "have you longed for me" and "did you not hit me". For the reasons you have exposed, this could not be said as is in French, since both meanings couldn't be conveyed in a single sentence. Thus, the writers, having no other choice, kept the more literal one (not being hit - tu m'as manqué, which isn't a mistake when used to mean that) and omitted the second part of the pun (longing - je t'ai manqué, which *would* be a mistake). Because, let's face it, the line wasn't originally written in French...

Corrected entry: During the opening scene where the painter is painting the portrait of the woman, there is a shot of the painting where you can see the woman's shoulder and jaw profile. You can see that the picture isn't distorted like the painting you see after the painter gets hit.
Correction: That is because you see it from the painter's point of view. He had no idea his portraits were distorted, so he didn't see them that way.

Lost in Translation (2003)
Corrected entry: Throughout the film, the characters interchange the letters "L" and "R". In correct Japanese, the letter "L" does not exist, it is always replaced by "R". Furthermore, words that contain "R" and no "L" remain unchanged. So when the prostitute tells Bob to 'lip my stocking', she should actually be saying it correctly (as in 'rip', not 'lip'). It should not change.
Correction: Neither R nor L exist in Japanese. What does exist is a sound that's halfway between R and L (say "teddy bear," and the sound you get by pronouncing the DDs is about the right one). But English-speaking Japanese people know that there are two sounds in English, and just as someone has to learn each word's gender when learning Roman languages or German, for example, they need to learn the right sound for each word. And guess what? They make mistakes. And even if they resort to using the Japanese R instead f trying to pronounce R or L the English way, the sound coming out of that person's mouth will sound more like an R or like an L depending on their accent and the listener's ear. Plus, it isn't uncommon for Japanese Rs to be romanized as L, especially for names.

Corrected entry: In the start of the movie Nim is talking about the death of her mother and that she got eaten by a whale. This is impossible because a whale's throat is so small the a whale can't swallow anything bigger than a grape fruit.
Correction: Nim was quite small at the time of her mother's death. Her father created an understandable fairytale for her to explain what happened. Which is why we are shown it using storybook-like visuals. With her vivid imagination, Nim just decided to keep the fairytale alive and to transmit it.

Corrected entry: The place where Shrek knights the man appears in Shrek 2, when Fiona is looking for Shrek after she turns into a human. Only problem is, in Shrek 2, the window above the stairs was a regular window. In this movie, it's a stained glass window.
Correction: Plenty of time has passed between the movies to allow some redecorating to take place. Plus, according to this site's rules, discrepancies between two movies aren't considered mistakes.
Corrected entry: After falling down the waterfall, Indiana and his troupe enter the caves on the cliff face. Spalko's henchman is meanwhile dropping a trail for Spalko to follow. How did he leave a trail across the lake and up a cliff?! Yet, she still manages to figure out where to go. Funny, that.
Correction: No trail was necessary: from her vantage point, Spalko saw where they were going and falling. After that, it was only a matter of finding the device somewhere on the shore.

Corrected entry: In one of the fist scenes where we see Alexandra Rover, she looks out the window to see the taxi. The weather is pretty fine when she does this. However, when she goes outside to get into the taxi, it's suddenly pouring down with rain.
Correction: Considering how long it took her to finally make it outside, it's no wonder there was time for rain to start pouring.

Corrected entry: When Alexandra is in the airport the security guard takes out the Purell she has in her suitcase, but when she is about to be saved by Nim she falls out of the boat. The Purell is falling out of her suitcase and she couldn't have bought it anywhere she was at, because she was in such a hurry all the time.
Correction: What got confiscated isn't the Purrell that was in her suitcase, but the Purrell that was in her carry-on. Whatever Purrell was in her suitcase was safe in the hold and not confiscated.

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the movie Queen Clarisse has long, braided hair, and it's tied in a circle around the back of her head. Then, around the middle of the movie her hair is short, like it was in the first movie. At the end of the movie her hair is long, braided, and tied up again.
Correction: Fake hair and hair extensions are quite commonly used to achieve an elaborate hairdo, which is perfectly plausible for the Queen.

Corrected entry: In the Don Juan opera, just after Carlotta's solo, she and the chorus sing their final chord as they point into the audience. The camera moves across towards centre stage. Minnie Driver, obviously thinking she is out of shot stops singing, laughs and jokingly fights for position with the man standing next to her.
Correction: Minnie Driver doesn't get out of character at all, and doesn't laugh. This is Carlotta being Carlotta, bossing people around, scowling at and pushing the man, trying to upstage everyone and take up the spotlight in spite of having lost the main role in Don Juan to Christine. This bit you mention is very reminiscent of "Prima Donna," where she swats people around her.

Corrected entry: When Umbridge is writing the "OWLs" on her chalk board she makes three last strokes as if to make a period. We can hear the sound of chalk hitting the board. when you look after there are no periods.
Correction: Umbridge is not writing, but only pointing at each letter with her wand, bringing attention to them.
