Stargate SG-1

Family - S2-E8

Other mistake: When Teal'c shoots Rya'c with the zat, it is still closed.

In the Line of Duty - S2-E2

Other mistake: Teal'c swipes his security card to open a door. The stripe is facing the wrong way, and he really doesn't even get it in the slot good and the light goes green and he opens the door. It is very obvious. (00:26:10)

Show and Tell - S2-E20

Plot hole: The last two invisible aliens are in the room with Charlie and "Mother". Since both of them can see the aliens, why don't they warn O'Neil that they are there?

Family - S2-E8

Plot hole: Huge plot error: Apophis and Clorell (Skara) should not have survived the explosion in Season 2, Episode 1 (when they attack Earth with two ships). In "Family" they explain that Apophis and Clorell survived by escaping through the stargate aboard Clorell's ship moments after Daniel Jackson did the same. However, when Daniel Jackson escapes through it, Apophis and Clorell are not even on the right ship, and there is 1 second left on the C4 timer when Daniel escapes. They actually show Daniel Jackson escape, and then cut to Apophis and Clorell still aboard their ship. So apparently, Apophis was able to "ring" from his ship over to Clorell's ship, make it to the stargate room, dial an address, and escape through the stargate all within literally 1 second. Is this guy related to The Flash?

Secrets - S2-E9

Continuity mistake: When O'Neill and Carter arrive at Washington, Carter says "Don't worry, Sir. These were my old stomping grounds." O'Neill replies with "I'm sorry to hear that." But later when the reporter approaches O'Neill in the bar the recording says "My condolences."

The Gamekeeper - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: You hear "chevron four encoded" but the third chevron lights up.

Secrets - S2-E9

Factual error: When O'Neill throws the knife at the system lord at the end, the knife is spinning in the wrong direction.

Touchstone - S2-E14

Character mistake: The team are finding out who could have stolen the weather device from Madrona and find an energy spike at the same time SG2 are on a mission. "But SG2's mission is galaxies away from Madrona" Says Teal'c. At this time the only missions the teams could go on was in our own galaxy and couldn't be galaxies away.

Cybermoose

Thor's Chariot - S2-E6

Audio problem: Near the very end, when SG-1 have been captured, Daniel says "it's a good day to die", but the subtitles say that O'Neill says the line.

Touchstone - S2-E14

Plot hole: When half of SG-1 return to Medrona to detonate a charge aimed at the gate, why didn't they just go to another planet? As when they went to Medrona, there was a blizzard going on and they also had the natives saying they will arrest them as they still hadn't returned the touchstone. Could have just saved themeselves some hassle.

1969 - S2-E21

Factual error: During SG-1's trip across the nation they show a city-scape of Chicago. Which is evident by the Sears Tower. But the Sears Tower was not build in 1969. Construction started in 1970 and completed in 1973.

Touchstone - S2-E14

Plot hole: The NID guys escape because Jack can't kill them. He fires his MP-5 around them to try to make them stop. Is there a reason he didn't bring a Zat gun along? The whole point of this mission was to stop the NID rogue agents without killing them and to capture them if possible. The Zat gun seems tailor-made for a mission like this.

Holiday - S2-E17

Continuity mistake: In an early scene "Ma'chello" is lying in the infirmary with a oxygen mask on, it cuts to Frasier and O'Neill talking about him, then cuts back and "Ma'chello" now has nose tubes.

A Matter of Time - S2-E16

Other mistake: In one scene, someone over a P.A. says something like "The mountain is now on emergency power and life support." but the subtitles say M.A.L.P (the probe they send through the gate) instead of mountain.

The Serpent's Lair (3) - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: When Daniel is shot by a Jaffa staff weapon, the hole in his jacket is very visible. When Daniel comes out healed from the sarcophagus, it has also mended his jacket, but it's shown in other episodes that it doesn't repair clothing.

Message in a Bottle - S2-E7

Continuity mistake: When Carter gets stuck in the elevator, she's on level 22. Every time the level changed, you can hear a beeping noise and there's no noise after we see 22. But from outside, the doors say 28. It wasn't a cut away shot either.

Bane - S2-E10

Visible crew/equipment: Just after Jack says "Whoa, did you guys hear that?" a person in yellow is visible in the background (either in the building, or as a reflection in the window). (00:03:30)

A Matter of Time - S2-E16

Factual error: The star collapsing into a black hole suddenly seems to increase its gravitational pull on the planet that SG-10 is on. When an object collapses to a singularity, the pull it exerts on an object does not suddenly change because the mass, and therefore the strength of its gravity, has not changed.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Black holes certainly increase gravitational pull and can tear planets apart. In additions, black holes are pulling in matter around it, adding to its mass.

Bishop73

A star and a black hole formed from it have the same mass and cause the same gravitational pull on objects outside the star's original diameter. Yes, a black hole pulls in matter around it, but that is the exact same matter that would also be pulled into a star of the same mass, so again the star and black hole would have the exact same effect on everything around it, including the planet. Regarding black holes (and stars) pulling planets apart, that is from tidal forces that grow exponentially as they approach a large mass, and again for objects at a distance outside the stars original diameter a star and black hole of the same mass cause exactly the same effect. The reality is when a star collapses into a black hole, some of the matter gets ejected and causes a supernova during the process, so the planet would have been torn apart long before any black hole was present, with the planet's debris thrown away from the event, not sucked towards it.

A Matter of Time - S2-E16

Character mistake: When Hammond and Carter come out of the base, Hammond is told he's been gone 22 hours. Hammond says he's only been gone about 20 minutes. To which Carter says, due to time dilation, time is moving an average of 600% slower and that telling O'Neill to wait 5 minutes would be 6 hours or more. However, 600% is just another way of saying "6 times" and time is slower by about 66 times, so she should have said an average of 6,000%. 5 minutes being 6 hours would be 72 times slower.

Bishop73

Spirits - S2-E13

Visible crew/equipment: While the Wolf/Dakaya is on his way to the stargate, you can see a hand on the left side, maybe calling/showing him to the right direction. (00:32:40)
