I actually assumed that it was already like 6am or something like that and knowing how sprawled our everything is there figured maybe it was like a 40 min drive. But then Daniel's wife also says it's Saturday morning yet Miguel and Sam are in school.

Suggested correction: Entry not specific enough.

How is this not specific enough?

Bishop73

For one, there's more than one chase scene involving a truck in this movie. This entry doesn't specify which one. Nor does he specify if we see the camera crew itself or simply a reflection of the crew on the vehicle.

I think he is referring to a truck seen just before the Freightliner runs the stop sign and hits the brown and dark blue cars. The "camera" truck though looks like it has trash cans in the back, not a film crew, at least nothing that I can see in the 1080p version to indicate it is a film crew. The reverse shot of the collision if from a fixed position camera close to the cars so wasn't shot from a truck, so again no evidence this is a film crew truck.

Suggested correction: It should also be pointed out that "Endgame" as a term has been around a long time. It's a chess term and refers to the final stage of a process or event. "Voyager" might have taken inspiration from Marvel themselves since Marvel Comics have had at least 16 stories titled "Endgame", starting in the 60's. Stories involving The Mighty Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Thanos.

Bishop73

Suggested correction: Not to be confrontational, but has this actually been confirmed? As in, did any of the filmmakers say that they were inspired by "Star Trek: Voyager"? The fact that the word "Endgame" appears in both titles doesn't mean that one was inspired by the other.

wizard_of_gore

It was confirmed by the producers.

Kevin Feige confirmed that Star Trek: The Next Generation inspired elements of the film. At no time did he mention Star Trek: Voyager.

The episode is also about time travel. Caption Janeway goes back in time to get her ship home faster and save member of her crew.

The fact that 2 things involving time travel also involve the term "endgame" does not mean that one inspired the other.

Answer: As the guardian of the Soul Stone, the Red Skull presumably just showed Steve the spot where he needed to return it. As for how Steve got to Vormir in the first place, he could have either borrowed a spaceship from Asgard or had Heimdall teleport him there via the Bifrost after returning the Reality Stone.

Phaneron

Asgard doesn't exist at the time Steve would return the stone.

It did when they took it so its still there when he brings it back. It's shortly before the dark elves attack.

lionhead

Yes it does. Clint, Natasha, Rhodey and Nebula all traveled to Morag in 2014 when Quill took the Power Stone, at which point Clint and Natasha took the Guardians' ship and traveled to Vormir to retrieve the Soul Stone. Steve can travel to Asgard in 2014 and ask Heimdall to teleport him to both of those planets. Asgard wasn't destroyed until just before the events of Infinity War.

Can't be that he cleaned himself up, because in the Avengers post-credit scene eating shawarma (after arresting Loki), Cap's suit is still dirty from the battle. Can't be that he got changed before heading down (and why would he?) because in the shawarma scene from the first Avengers movie he's still in his damaged/dirty suit after everything.

Continuity mistake: While Hulk eats breakfast with Cap, Nat and Scott, the crepe on the top is cut in two. In the next shot it's in one piece, then in two again. (00:38:30)

oswal13

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The crepe is cut in two in every scene. The angle in the middle scene, does not show the cut as prominently as the first and last scene.

The mistake is valid. It's after the kids wanting the picture are leaving that you see the crepe is intact. You see the crepe from the same camera angle when the Hulk agrees to the picture and it's in half. In fact, in the shot of the crepe intact, it's completely differently coloring with less browning spots, so it's a different prop altogether.

Trivia: Thanos breaks Cap's shield just like in the Infinity Gauntlet comic.

oswal13

Answer: Short version, because he's dead. Bruce only brought back everyone Thanos "snapped", and Vision was killed before that. Now, whether Shuri managed to finish her work before then, somehow "backing him up" or otherwise separating him from the mind stone, we don't know as yet - it may be they somehow revive him in a future film, or the upcoming WandaVision TV series. But for now, he's gone.

Jon Sandys

Answer: Technically vision wasn't "killed." He wasn't even alive. He's a robot. Maybe they could have used the mind stone they had to try to revive him, but Thanos ripped out a good chunk of his head already. And they needed to put the mind stone back anyway.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: I agree this APPEARS to be correct, but I think it is questionable - it COULD be the left arm. The covered thumbs-up arm the Predator extended to the driver had its fingers curled toward the palm, not straight out like they were. There was a zigzag pattern on the glove's wrist, but this could be the opposite (outer) side if it also had the pattern, not the inner side. The thumb looked broken - giving the image that it might have been the right thumb, but actually the left. You MIGHT be right.

KeyZOid

The mistake is valid, no correction needed. It's a right hand that extends through the opening and a left arm seen on the floor. A key factor is the knuckles location, so it doesn't matter if the thumb looked broken.

Bishop73

I watched several times and still believe it could be the left hand. The way the fingers are folded (curled) toward the palm, they look like left knuckles.

KeyZOid

If the hand was a left hand, then you wouldn't see the knuckles.

Bishop73

No matter which way fingers are folded under toward the palm, there will be knuckles showing on either side. (Make a fist and see for yourself!) No further replies from me here.

KeyZOid

Then you misunderstand what I mean by knuckles. I'm talking about the metacarpophalangeal joint, not the interphalangeal joint.

Bishop73

No, I didn't... and knuckles are knuckles! [Now, no additional replies from me here.].

With all due respect, this doesn't answer the question being asked. The first Predator specifically came to earth in order to provide technology that would allow humans to defend themselves against other Predator attacks. Its literal sole intention was to protect them, which is why the larger Predator comes after it. Not one single human that this Predator then goes on to kill is equipped with this armour, in fact some of the first people it kills are unarmed scientists.

oswal13

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Volcanic ash is is not deadly to the touch and is not high in temperature. At worst it can be toxic if inhaled for long periods of time. There have been plenty of instances where entire towns were engulfed in ash and the residents were fine. What I think this mistake is referring to is something called Pyroclastic flow which is very deadly at 450°C and can travel 80 km an hour. Volcanic ash can sometimes be residue from pyroclastic flow but doesn't have to be precursors or remnants to it. The film never states whether it's volcanic ash or pyroclastic flow but since Owen as well as the dinosaurs inside survive it can easily be inferred to be volcanic ash.

Trivia: The way Spidey hits Thanos and throws the web on his face is the same way he does in The Infinity Gauntlet comic book.

oswal13

Answer: Although many fans speculated it was because the Hulk fears Thanos after Thanos easily defeated him at the beginning of the film, the Russo brothers have since come out and said that it's because the Hulk feels that Banner only wants the Hulk around for helping him in fights, so his refusal to transform is a protest of sorts.

Phaneron

I think it's both.

Well it's not both. The Russo Brothers, who directed the film, have openly stated that the Hulk is not afraid of Thanos.

Phaneron

Answer: Because he doesn't like being used as a tool and he also is summoned in two places he's already destroyed: New York and Africa. Those are two places he's shown regret for the damage he's caused, which caused him to leave in the first place.

DetectiveGadget85

Answer: Cause Hulk is afraid of Thanos.

This is directly contradicted by the directors of the film, who have stated it's because he doesn't like that Banner only wants to use him for his strength.

While I understand that this is what the directors said, what we have in the finished product would never lead one to this conclusion. We first see Hulk fight Thanos and get completely over-matched. From then on, we only get glimpses of Hulk inside Banner, refusing to come out, and seemingly scared to do so. If they wished to convey inner strife between Banner and Hulk or anything else, that did a very poor job doing so.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The parademons are in a separate room with several hostages who are far more afraid than The Flash is, so their attention is focused elsewhere.

Flash and the others are in the very next room without any door or wall beside the parademons, not too far, and there are 10 or 12 around the space. Anyone can smell Barry's fear or at least hear them, and the hostages show less fear than Barry - he is almost paralyzed.

oswal13

I agree with the reply to the correction, I believe the entry should be reinstated and I don't get why the massive downvoting. The whole tacked-on "smell fear" business is inconsistent throughout the movie and there should be an ampler entry about it, if anything.
