Take a Right - S2-E6
Trivia: Minor spoiler: In season 2, Johnny reunites with his old Cobra Kai buddies. One of them, Tommy, has been ill for some time. They go on one last ride together, and by the morning Tommy has died. Robert Garrison, who plays Tommy, went through something very similar. Robert had been ill for some time, and got together with the actors for one last reunion in this episode. He sadly passed away on 9/27/19, just months after the show aired.
Trivia: Daniel stumbles in on his daughter kissing Miguel. He then suggests to her he would like that they the door open, to which his daughter replies "come on dad, it's not 1984." The original Karate Kid was released in 1984.
Trivia: When Daniel goes to talk to Mr. Miyagi at the cemetery, we see that Miyagi was born in June and died in November. Pat Morita, who played Mr. Miyagi, was also born in June, and died in November.
Trivia: The kick Devin uses to win her match in the montage is the same one Johnny used in the tournament montage from The Karate Kid (1984).
Trivia: The chop to the back of the neck Dimitri uses in the montage is the same move Daniel used to win his first match in The Karate Kid (1984).
Trivia: The scene of the Cobras throwing down their team merchandise on the defeated Terry Silver was based on a deleted (perhaps unfilmed) scene from Karate Kid 2 where the Cobras throw their belts down on a defeated Kreese.
Trivia: While all the towns and street names were all real for the valley, the addresses shown on applications and other papers were fake (example: Johnny's address listed on Saticoy St showed 4 digits whereas Saticoy St is all 5 digits throughout the valley). Robbie's address had a street name that does not really exist.
Trivia: Kreese pushes Johnny to the mirror and breaks it, just like Miyagi did to Silver in The Karate Kid 3.
Trivia: Miguel takes Sam to "Golf and Stuff", Daniel did the same thing with Ali in The Karate Kid.
Trivia: The red Pontiac is the very same one used by Johnny in The Karate Kid.
