Continuity mistake: The scene where Col. Hathi inspects his troops, he leans on his stick and it breaks. However, in the next scenes, the stick you see is sometimes broken and sometimes it is still complete.

Continuity mistake: When all the elephants line up for inspection, Winifred is at the start of the line, and first for inspection. But in later shots, another elephant has suddenly appeared to her right. (00:15:40)

Deliberate mistake: After Baloo and Bagheera escape from the monkeys, they both have a black eye. However, during their conversation by the water, between shots their black eyes vanish. [This is a Disney tradition, but still a mistake.]

Deliberate mistake: When Baloo lies unconscious, the tree behind has barely no leaves on its branches. When he wakes up and the sun shines, leaves suddenly appear.

Continuity mistake: The tip of Shere Khan's tail is orange, except when Baloo grabs it to stop him from attacking Mowgli and runs around in circles. Then it turns brown.

Continuity mistake: When the movie begins, Bagheera walks along a branch and stops several centimeters away from a branch going upwards. When the shot changes he is standing right next to it.

Continuity mistake: Baloo's skirt made of leaves disappears when Mowgli comes to rescue him from the chimps. Also, the roots of the tree behind change looks and the weeds coming out of the tiles also disappear.

Continuity mistake: During the king Louie scene the number of bananas at the feet of his throne increases and decreases randomly between shots. Their position also changes.

Continuity mistake: The branch where Bagheera watches Baloo's boxing lessons is parallel to the ground, but in later shots it's perpendicular, much steeper.

Continuity mistake: When Mowgli finally gets to the man village and the girl drops the water vase, it rolls around and stops in front of him. The camera cuts off it and onto him, and when it cuts back, the vase is in a different spot than before.

Continuity mistake: In the shot where Mowgli says, "But, I want to stay in the jungle," the very right end of his loincloth is miscolored as his skin for a few frames.

Continuity mistake: When Shere Khan chokes Kaa, the snake is two meters away from the tree. In the immediate close-up it is right next to it. (00:58:05)

Continuity mistake: When Mowgli is next to the waterfall, the stones he picks up suddenly appear on the ground. Also, after throwing them away, the twig in his hand disappears. (00:53:20)

Continuity mistake: Mowgli walks to the edge of a stone close to the waterfall. A shot later he's standing a couple of meters away. (00:53:12)

Continuity mistake: After Baloo howls at Mowgli, Bagheera stops walking on a branch, one meter away from two small branches on the left. A shot later he is standing much closer to them, plus the pink flower on the right has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: The tree where Bagheera and Mowgli sleep and meet the snake has a small branch protruding which Mowgli fiddles with. The branch appears and disappears randomly between shots.

Continuity mistake: The branch where Bagheera watches the wolves' reunion has 6 small branches sticking out. When the shot changes and the panther jumps off it only has 3.

Continuity mistake: When Bagheera leaves the basket for the wolves to find it, a stone next to it appears close, further away, or simply disappears with no continuity at all.

Answer: She was a young girl who was instantly smitten by Mowgli (and he with her) and encouraged him to come into the village, hoping he'd stay. It shows that Mowgli has made the decision to live with humans.
