Question: On the Region 2 DVD, Hypercube, it has the trailer, with a couple of scene's I've never picked up in the film, despite watching itrepeatedly. Also on the back of the DVD is a picture of someone, Max I think, lying down wearing some sort of blue glasses. But the Region 2 DVD has no deleted scenes on it. Where they just cut then never released? Or are there deleted scene available anywhere?

Chosen answer: I don't know of the picture you are speaking about, but I do have a DVD that my dad got in Saudi Arabia that has all the features. It has Making Of, Interviews, Commentary, and Deleted Scenes. The deleted scenes are pretty much just extended or slightly different to the ones that are in the movie. There is an extended ending that is considerably longer, but has bad acting (mainly by the black man in charge) and elaborates a bit more on the whole government thing. It mentions "Phase 2 complete" which could mean more phases (hopefully). The others extend the 'Razorcube' scene, the 'two rooms coming together' scene, and the 'figuring out and jumping' scene. The DVD and the box don't mention the Region but it has "For sale or resale in Usa and Canada", so all I know is that it isn't region 4, where I am.

Question: In the scene where old Marty enters his house and pushes a button, a computer voice says, 'lithium mode on'. What does that mean?

Chosen answer: Lithium is used to treat bipolar disease and other mental problems. So 'lithium mode' probably has a calming effect when you're depressed or stressed or whatever.

Question: What kind of cellphone does Wayne Palmer have?

don_corleone

Chosen answer: Treo 600.

Question: At the end of the film "For Brandon and Eliza" is displayed. Brandon is obviously Brandon Lee, but who's Eliza?

Jon Sandys Premium member

Chosen answer: Eliza is Eliza Hutton. She was Brandon Lee's fiance at the time of his death. They were supposed to be married only weeks after Lee died.

Question: Does anyone have any idea what the bit with the security guard at the end was about? Even if Alice could somehow "fire" a virus into someone, there's no way she could have known where in the building the guard was just by looking at the cameras. She might be part computer, but she's not psychic. As far as I can tell, this isn't drawn from any of the games.

Phoenix

Chosen answer: The T-virus was causing her to evolve at a very fast rate. She developed psychic powers and used them on the guard.

Question: What classic song are Joan and her friends listening to when the Russian and Frank Castle are fighting in Castle's room?

Chosen answer: The song is "La donna é mobile" from the opera Rigoletto.

Question: What is going on with George Clooney during the scene on the diving board? Where did all the blood come from? Did he kill himself?

Chosen answer: He was presumably shot by the double agent. Which is why he tells Barry 'It's up to you now.'

Question: The theme at the end of the movie sounds so familiar, but I cant seem to remember where its from. Can anyone refresh me?

Chosen answer: The song is "dancing with myself" by Billy Idol. For the movie, the girl band The Donnas are singing it.

Question: Why is this film going straight to video and DVD in Australia?. If it got poor reviews I would understand. But it got good reviews as did Kurt Russell for his performance. I just don't understand.

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: The film's international appeal would be very limited to those who knew the story or knew of the event, and this story is really only known well in the US and not in countries like Australia. On the review section, it's not the distributors main priority. Unless they see potential overseas it's costly to try and promote it in Australian cinemas and is likely to see a better audience in video and DVD than theatres.

Question: Why is Clubber Lang allowed to box professionally, considering that his favorite KO punch seems to be right to the back of the head while the opponent is on their knees?

Chosen answer: Clubber Lang worked his way up the professional ranks. If you notice, the challanger is still able to fight, the referee uses his own discresion to ignore the final punch as the match would have been called in Langs favour anyway

Question: Throughout the movie, Diana Newman (the angry princess) says nothing else except, "I'm sorry". Why does she say that? And why does she almost stab Arthur's daughter? Does she not know she can only be seen with the special glasses?

Chosen answer: She says I'm sorry because that was her suicide note on the mirror. She almost stabs Kathy because all the ghosts in the house except the fourth are murderous spirits.

Question: While the characters mostly spoke Latin or Aramaic, the DVD version mentions that Hebrew was also spoken. In what scenes in the film was Hebrew was spoken, as I could did not distinguish Hebrew from Aramaic?

Onesimos

Chosen answer: The Hebrew was mainly spoken among the Sanhedrin (Jewish high priests) and other Jewish characters including Simon and the Jewish temple guards.

Question: What's the name of the island that Jamie Foxx thinks about when work gets rough?

Chosen answer: The Maldives.

Question: Was there any specific reason or symbolism why Volume 1 and 2 contained so much of the colour yellow? The Game of Death suit, the subtitles, the Pussy Wagon, the desert, House of Blue Leaves, The Bride and Elle's hair. I'm counting blonde as yellow obviously.

Chosen answer: In much of Asia, yellow has meanings associated with death. It can have to do with cowardice, such as how the Bride was killed. It can be a symbol against evil (obviously Bill). It is also a color of death, of which there is much of in the film.

Question: Does anybody know what state this movie takes place in?

Chosen answer: The director states in the commentary that supposedly "this is a nice private school in Long Island."

Question: Does anyone know the alternative endings for this movie? I can't wait until the DVD. Was this the ending the M. Night Shyamalan wanted in the theaters?

fan before the site

Chosen answer: According to Shyamalan, the ending we saw was the only ending created for the film. He has stated numerous times that the rumors of any alternate endings were untrue.

Question: What was the point of Theo in the movie? She was such a small character and didn't really benefit the plot.

Chosen answer: She is the college-slut stereotype. She serves to advance a few jokes and to get the key to the gate from Dwight.

Question: I heard that Trelawney's prophecy was worded different in the movie than in the book. Does anyone know what the change was and/or how it could change the plot?

Chosen answer: The prediction in the book is, "The Dark Lord lies alone and friendless, abandoned by his followers. His servant has been chained these twelve years. Tonight, before midnight, the servant will break free and set out to rejoin his master. The Dark Lord will rise again with his servant's aid, greater and more terrible than ever before." It doesn't change the plot at all in the movie. It was just reworded to make it shorter.

Question: In the opening shot, the camera lingers on LeStat's tomb for just a second. What did the door say? The picture on VHS is to grainy for me to read if it is paused, and the shot goes too fast.

Chosen answer: All I can read is the name, Sebastian Fairchild. The rest of the text is too small and the camera angle is too far up to be readable.

Question: If all the villains have known the Rangers true identities, why didn't they just reveal them to the public? Zordon stated in the first episode they would lose their powers if their identity was revealed. It couldn't of been an "honour" thing, as they've all shown they are willing to use cheap tactics to get ahead.

Chosen answer: Several people have found out their identities. Tommy's brother, one girl's (can't remember which one) father, etc. I Zordon just meant that they can't go around telling everyone. It would be like bragging, and he would take their powers away.
