Cats in the Cradle... - S2-E20

Question: I've always wondered as to what would happen to the young girls that murdered the old woman. Would they go to juvenile hall? Or would they be let off because they are young? The episode ends without the audience being told what would happen.

Chosen answer: While it is impossible to know for certain, it is highly unlikely they would be let go and would be prosecuted to some extent. In support of this is the statement made by real life Nevada Judge Mills Lane (Ret.), "In Nevada, if you commit murder or attempted murder you do not go to juvenile court, you go right to adult court."

Question: Are the vampire prosthetics the same kind Joel Schumacher used in The Lost Boys?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: There is no way to be positive as Schumacher has never addressed this issue publicly. I can tell you that there are no common special effects make-up personnel between the two productions.

Question: Why was Jon Heder credited on movie posters, but not in the film?

Chosen answer: He is credited. In the beginning, the credits read Will Farrell, then Blades of Glory, and THEN Jon Heder shows up.

Question: Has there ever been a mention as to why John Ashton and Ronny Cox didn't reprise their rolls of Taggart and Bogomil for this movie?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: Both men chose not to participate in this movie after reading the script but have not stated publicly what the specific issue was. Anyone who saw the movie can probably venture a guess!

Question: Were the writers/directors ignorant to cow/bull terminology and anatomy? Even if one agrees that "cow" can be used to refer to either sex, the male "cows" in this movie should not have utters.

Chosen answer: This is a children's movie and is presented in a manner that will be understandable and familiar for the target audience.

Question: What are the different levels of Jedi, in order? I know that in this movie, Anakin is a Knight but not a Master.

Chosen answer: Right at the very bottom, you have the younglings, who appear to have no particularly official title, but who have been variously referred to as Jedi Initiates, Jedi Students and occasionally Jedi Hopefuls. As they age and are apprenticed to a Jedi Master or Jedi Knight, they become a Padawan, travelling with their mentor. Once a Padawan is deemed ready by his or her mentor, they will enter a series of trials, at the end of which they will have the rank of Jedi Knight conferred upon them (in certain cases, where a Padawan has performed some act of extraordinary heroism, this may be taken in lieu of the trials, an example being Obi-wan Kenobi, who was promoted to Jedi Knight after his defeat of Darth Maul). The remaining official rank is that of Jedi Master, which is most commonly conferred on a Jedi after they successfully train their first Padawan to Knight rank, but may also be awarded by their peers after some particularly grand act or major advancement in the Force. While not technically possessing a higher rank, the twelve Jedi who sit on the council can be considered to possess higher authority within the Order. Finally, an unofficial but acknowledged position within the Order is that of Grand Master, considered "first among equals" in the council, held by Yoda at the time of the fall of the Old Republic.

Question: In the scene where Spider-man is given the key to the city, when he swings in, I recognized that the song the marching band was playing was the spider-man theme song from the old cartoon. I think we first heard this in Spider-man 2 when that Asians lady was singing it on the corner. Where would this band hear this song to be playing it at the ceremony? How do they know of it?

Carl Missouri

Chosen answer: Given his popularity by the 3rd movie, it is not unlikely that a cartoon has been made based on him or that someone wrote the song about Spiderman and it has become popular. Also, we hear a (slightly modified) version of the song in the first movie as well...the singing cowboy. So the song has clearly been around for some time.

The Substitute Spanish Prisoner - S6-E2

Question: Where does the title of this episode come from? It seems like "The Substitute Spanish Prisoner" would actually be better for the episode where Peggy accidentally sneaks a Mexican girl back into America during a field trip, and is later arrested in Mexico.

Chosen answer: The title comes from a con trick that is similar to the scam emails from people claiming to represent wealthy Nigerians. (For more information on this click here.) Being that much of the episode revolves around a con man and conning the title seems more suitable than to the episode Peggy accidentally kidnaps the Mexican girl Lupe.

Question: There's one thing that bothers me. It's when Evan ends up in mental hospital, and his brain is once again attacked by torrent of new memories, then we see very fast switching pictures of various faces, with lots of mixed voices in the background. What is the meaning of this?

Chosen answer: Those are his "new" memories rushing into his brain.

Question: Why exactly do the spirits in the Ark kill everyone who looks at them? Do they only kill evil people such as the Nazis, or everyone who looks at them, regardless of how pure they may be (say, for example, would the Pope be able to open the Ark without incident)? Does that also mean after being closed, the Ark was never supposed to be opened again by anybody ever? I was never quite clear on the explanation to the Ark's somewhat malefic nature.

Chosen answer: The idea that the contents of the Ark could not be viewed was lifted from God's statement to Moses that He could not appear to Moses in all His glory lest Moses be killed by it. The Ark would kill everyone who looked at it because, Biblically speaking, "all [Pope included] have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." No, the Ark was never meant to be opened. The Ark is not, strictly speaking, malefic either. It's just too Holy for human endurance. It is humanity's malefic nature that causes the Ark to kill.

Question: In the first few seasons, the Charmed Ones can retrieve a spell from the Book Of Shadows by just hovering their hands over the book & the book will turn to the correct page. However, in later seasons they have to turn pages manually. Why?

Chosen answer: They weren't searching the book. They were "concentrating" and their ancestors (Grams specifically) were helping them search. Later, they begin to know what to look for.

Question: In "I'm With Stupid", can someone explain to me who those people were who thought they were Patrick's parents, and how they knew to show up, and knew everything about Patrick?

Chosen answer: I had originally posted this as a mistake before being corrected. My own opinion aside, there is no real evidence to how they knew about Patrick. Its all I think meant to add to the stupidity of starfish in the show. Not only do the fake parents not even have kids but Patrick didn't even realise they were not his parents until they mentioned their names.

Question: When Professor McGonagall turns the bird into a water goblet, what type of bird is that?

Michele Hedges

Chosen answer: I believe it's a breed of toucan or hornbill. Tropical in origin. Not sure if it's South American or African.

Question: Why does Ironhide transform in the final battle just to say "It's Starscream!"? As far as i know, from wathing the series 'Cybertron' they can talk in vehicle mode. Of course no one would think this is weird, they already know that they can turn into giant robots, if that's not already weird enough.

Chosen answer: He transforms into robot mode so he (and Bumblebee) can pick up the truck to protect the group from the imminent attack from Starscream.
