Question: A lot of people in this film sing the song "Danke Shoen." Why do they do this?

Chosen answer: It is a song that easily gets stuck in one's head after hearing it; it's more or less used as a comic effect for this reason. Ferris sings it twice (once in the shower and again in the parade), Mr. Rooney hums it at Ferris' house, and Jeannie sings it when leaving the police station.

Chosen answer: He's supposed to represent the "token black guy" from a lot of teen type movies including the various hairstyles that were worn in those films.

Question: I know that in "Fool for Love" Cecily is played by the same actress that plays Halfrek. So, when we see Hallie in "Older and Faraway" and she whispers "William," when she notices Spike, is this directly related to that? I know that names are often changed when becoming a Vengeance demon (example: Aud-Anya), so is Cecily the same character as Halfrek?

Chosen answer: Yes. Rocha confirmed that her characters are the same in an interview.

Phoenix

Or the former Treadstone agent?

Question: Near the end of the film, when Sarah dies, where did all the blood come from? Did she hit her head when she fell after the demon was driven out? If so, why did it take so long to start gushing?

wizard_of_gore

Chosen answer: Yes. It may have taken so long because the blood was probably pooling at the back of her head, which caused her to pass out, then finally built up enough pressure to gush out of the cut or fracture at the back of her head.

Question: What game are they playing at the beginning of the film in the treehouse?

a river runs through it

Chosen answer: Its a game called three-penny-scat. I'm not 100% on the rules, but I think you get three cards, take the value of them (Royalty =10) and whoever gets closest to thirty wins. According to the book, it's one of the most boring games invented but "it was too hot to think about anything more complicated".
