Question: At the end when Steven is the only one left alive alone with Django, he drops his cane and seems to walk fine. Would that indicate that he was faking the whole time, just pretending he needed it?
Answer: Not necessarily; Stephen's condition may be ameliorated by using a cane to walk, but he doesn't always need the cane. I myself have an ankle condition which is sometimes helped by the use of a cane, but I don't always need the cane.
Question: How did the rainbow bridge get rebuilt? Did I miss the explanation somewhere?
Answer: I think the implication was that it was two years since the destruction of the Bifrost bridge, and that appears to have been time enough to rebuild it using the Tesseract, which was brought back by Thor. Jane is the one who gives out the 2 years reference when remonstrating with Thor about disappearing.
Question: Is there any explanation to why several items thrown into the portal in the abandoned warehouse comes back whilst other stuff thrown into the portal doesn't?
Chosen answer: No explanation is given, but the answer is onscreen. When Jane and Thor walk into the cave after meeting Malekith, they find the other objects that were thrown into the portal that didn't return. Jane doesn't offer an explanation of how, but understands the implications of returning home. Given the fluctuating gravitational fields, we can only assume that the times at which objects entered the portal were the differentiating factor. It should also be noted that everything thrown through the portal was some kind of metal, so that might be a factor.
Question: At the end of the movie when Joe goes to live with Santa and the elves at the North Pole, what would happen to Cornelia (the girl Joe and Santa befriend) after she stayed there until the next Christmas? She would have no one to look after her when she is taken back to New York, since her only relative, her step uncle floated away after eating Patch's candy canes to evade arrest.
Chosen answer: We don't know for sure that the uncle is her only relative, he is the only one we see in the film. She may have other family in or around the city that she may live with after her return.
Answer: She did have her nanny. She may have been strict, but was still fair, especially after eating Patch's lollipop, feeling like Mary Poppins, much to both their amusement.
Answer: She most likely would have stayed with her aunt. It was said by her nanny that B.Z. was her step-uncle so she definitely would have family to go back to.
Question: Since it was replaced by "The Art of the Possible" in between the release of the concept album and the premiere on the West End, I've never heard the original version of "The Lady's Got Potential." Is it as rock and roll as the version in the film is?
Chosen answer: I did a little research for you. The Original London cast recording from 1976 is available on iTunes with the song "The Lady's Got Potential" intact. In the minute and a half sample iTunes allows, the song sounds pretty similar - both just as "rock and roll." However, the lyrics and instrumentals do have differences. Look it up using the key words "Evita London cast" and you should locate it. Give it a listen!
Question: After 100 years; Louis finds Lestat disfigured and cowering in a cemetery in New Orleans. This seems out of character for the arrogant Lestat, especially as he has superior powers. We see him again in his usual arrogance as he takes Daniel. I'm puzzled why Lestat hid for 100 years.
Answer: Lestat was quite vain; his disfigurement was most likely the reason he stayed hidden as long as he did. Also, his true age is uncertain, so 100 years could be an insignificant amount of time to him.
Question: Why did Prince Barron hate Flash so much? His burning desire to kill this complete stranger left me somewhat baffled.
Chosen answer: Prince Barin was the fiance of Princess Aura, who took a shine to Flash. He was quite simply jealous.
Question: In the beginning, the king and queen are shown riding in a carriage. However, before watching this movie, I viewed Shrek 3 where the king had turned into a frog and died. If he died in 3, how did he come back to life in this movie? This was before the king and queen signed any contract and vanished, so magic was not involved in his being alive.
Answer: It was stated in this scene that Fiona was rescued from the tower, meaning this scene took place at the same time as Shrek 1, when the King was still alive.
But they didn't have kids in the first?
Question: Toward the very end of the movie, when Tony and Jackie are going to see Billy dancing, it seems almost as if Jackie is reluctant to go on, and is seen walking slowly and looking all around. What is the significance of this?
Answer: Some time has passed since Billy left home and became a professional dancer. Jackie is older now and not as physically active as he once was. He has also seldom left his small, provincial town, and being in a major city like London is a little daunting for him, so he is a little uncomfortable and out-of-place.
I'd agree with "overwhelmed" (or in awe), but not to the point of being "daunting" because he was eager and excited to see what Billy had become and was not trying to avoid going there. (It was more like he was trying to not let on how excited he actually was).
There's nothing to suggest that he was excited or eager, let alone that he was trying to hide it. It's more likely he was simply overwhelmed.
Question: Did S.H.I.E.L.D. originally consider Thor to be one of the Avengers before Loki's plans?
Chosen answer: Probably. If you look at the map in the end of Iron Man 2, you can see all sorts of "superheroes" marked on it. New Mexico is also marked, where Thor would take place (in continuity) a few days after the events of Iron Man 2. Plus, when Fury was talking to the council, they also mentioned Thor and that he might be either an asset or an enemy.
Question: The Bifrost was destroyed at the end of the first film and Thor was sent back to Earth another way in The Avengers. So can someone explain to me why he didn't visit Jane then? Or at least after Loki's plans were foiled?
Question: In the chapter called "Horcruxes", Dumbledore says he thinks Voldemort meant to create 6 Horcruxes. He created 5 of them before attempting to kill baby Harry. Dumbledore then tells Harry, "I am sure that he [Voldemort] was intending to make his final Horcrux with your death." However, as we all know, Voldemort's curse on Harry rebounded, and he lost his powers."After an interval of some years, " Dumbledore then tells Harry, "he used Nagini to kill an old muggle man, and it might then have occurred to him to turn her into his last Horcrux." My question is: if Voldemort was planning to use 1-year-old Harry's death to make his sixth and final Horcrux, but it hadn't yet occurred to him to use the snake as that Horcrux, what was he planning to use instead? He had already used the diary, the ring, the cup, the locket, and the diadem for the first five Horcruxes. So, if he wasn't originally going to use the snake as the sixth, what was he going to use, and what happened to this mysterious object? He must have had something to use, since he went to baby Harry's house fully intending to kill Harry and create the Horcrux. So he must have had the Horcrux object with him. What was it? (Please understand this is not a hypothetical question about what sorts of objects Voldemort might have theoretically wanted to make into Horcruxes someday - I already know the answer to that - but rather a practical question about what Voldemort intended to use that night, the night he went to kill Harry, since he didn't have Gryffindor's sword, or anything else of Gryffindor's that we're aware of).
Question: Whatever happened to the little girl that Cal pretends is his daughter (I think) so he can get into the lifeboat? I didn't see her in the lifeboat with Cal in later scenes.
Answer: In one of the deleted scenes it shows an extended version of the Titanic survivors getting on the Carpathia. As you watch it you see the little girl being carried aboard. You can check it on youtube. I think its something like Titanic deleted scene extended Carpathia sequence.
Answer: In the montage scene after Rose is rescued when she looks up at Lowe waving the green light there's a shot of Cal accepting a flask, the woman he handed the girl to when getting on the life boat is still holding the girl as she sleeps. Presumably she stays with that woman.
She does. She appears in the steerage section on the Carpathia.
Answer: On the Carpathia both in the deleted scene and in the regular cut you can see her in the steerage section when Cal comes down to look for Rose. But I believe she looks slightly different from earlier because I believe it was the sister of the original actor playing her at that moment.
Question: Why did V even need Evy to help him kill the priest? If it was just a regular girl instead of Evy in the bedroom, V was gonna barge in through the window anyway. Was he just trying to show her how he does things or something?
Answer: She tells the priest that she opened a window while she was waiting to be seen, to let V get in.
Question: At the end when Dr. Gordon cuts his foot off, he tells Adam he'll go and get help when he escapes. So wouldn't Adam be able to escape as well once Dr. Gordon gets help? Or would Jigsaw catch up with Dr. Gordon and kill him?
Answer: Dr. Gordon is in Saw 7. Adam is killed by Amanda Young.
I also want to know why Dr Gordon never sent help back for Adam. They were fellow sufferers and even though Dr Gordon joined with jigsaw, he could have called 911 and sent help back for Adam.
I assume that Amanda came along and killed Adam before Dr. Gordon could do anything.
Answer: I assume that Amanda came along and killed Adam before Dr. Gordon could do anything.
Answer: There's still a lot about Dr. Gordon that's not clear. Knowing what we know by Saw 3D, the dialogue between Adam and Dr. Gordon in Saw I almost makes it seem that Dr. Gordon could have been in on the game. Then again, if he was, Jigsaw wouldn't have let Dr. Gordon saw off his own foot.
Answer: It's because the actor didn't want to come back. There are several ways Adam could have returned at this point. Several clues that could have brought him back. It was probably originally intended for both Adam and Dr Gordon to return at some point, even if there were no plans for a sequel.
It is also way too late to have Leigh Whannell come back as Adam in 2023, as the last time he was physically filming new footage was in Saw III back in 2006 - which was 17 years ago - and he's aged a lot since then. Especially considering Saw X will be post-Saw/pre-Saw II, it wouldn't make sense if Adam comes back and ages 17 years in the space of a couple of months, unless they de-aged him. If Adam appears in Saw X, it will most likely be a new recast actor or through archive footage.
Also, when you take into account that "Saw" was filmed in September/October 2003, meaning Leigh Whannell would have been 26 when the film was being made, and he is 47 years old now.
Answer: He might have tried to, because we don't know how long Lawrence was in John's care before he got released. By the time he was fully healed, Amanda already probably killed him.
Exactly. Also, with all that transpired, despite his "promise," Gordon had a lot of other stuff to worry about physically and mentally that he probably wasn't considering when he said he'd come back.
Answer: It's not until Saw 3D that Jigsaw tells Dr Gordon the location of the bathroom (assuming Lawrence passed out after cauterizing his leg after leaving the bathroom and never truly knew where it was)... (from SAW 3D) Hello Dr. Gordon. You are perhaps my greatest asset. Without you, my work over the last few years would not have been possible. That having been said I have a request. Watch over Jill, and should anything happen to her, I want you to act immediately on my behalf. In return for that, I will keep no more secrets from you. I've shown you a lot of places, but there is one that will be perhaps the most meaningful to you.
Question: What does Hirsch mean when he tells Vosen, "Just remember why we put Landy there." They talk about framing Landy for BlackBriar, but that never goes anywhere. What was their plan?
Chosen answer: In the next film, "The Bourne Legacy", we see Vosen testifying against Landy before a congressional committee. He implies that Blackbriar was solely an operation to capture a rogue Treadstone operative (Bourne), and that Landy was responsible for the program as she had aided Bourne.
Question: Can someone explain to me what exactly Arthur Tressler had to do with the Four Horsemen? (00:14:55 - 00:59:30)
Chosen answer: He was their sponsor.
Question: I'm partly deaf, so I am dependent upon reading closed captioning on TV or movies. My wife and I rented a DVD of this movie. I saw on this DVD where Benedict Cumberbatch was said to be the Necromancer; my wife claims not to have heard the name "Necromancer" said out loud. This was when the Necromancer made a very brief appearance. Was this a mistake in captioning?
Answer: The name Necromancer is said specifically at that point in the movie, by Radagast as he narrates what happened to Gandalf. Your information is correct in that the character is indeed being played by Benedict Cumberbatch, in addition to his role as Smaug.
Question: Why did everybody in the courtroom go silent when Tom said that he did chores for Mayella because he felt sorry for her?
Answer: At that time in history, Tom, a black man, was considered inferior to Mayella, a white woman. When he says he "felt sorry" for her, it is interpreted as him thinking he is above her or better off in some way. Regardless of his good intentions, for him to think of himself as being in a superior position to help her was considered unacceptable because it was seen as a black person rising above their lower place in society.

Chosen answer: As seen in the film, the portals are in flux. They are constantly activating and deactivating, potentially pulling items through from one dimension to another.
