Question: At the beginning of the movie, when Lincoln wakes up, he removes something from his ID bracelet. What is this and what significance does it have?

Chosen answer: It appears to be some sort of cable - it can be seen leading to the bracelet in the shot from above the bed immediately prior to the one where Lincoln unplugs it. Exactly what it does is never revealed, but it seems likely to be some sort of monitoring system, keeping an eye on Lincoln's health through sensors in the bracelet.

Question: I previously posted a question about Dean's charm on his necklace. I'd like to know what it is, not how he got it. Thanks.

Chosen answer: The charm is a male head with bullhorns. In an interview Jensen Ackles claimed that it was an Egyptian protective amulet; however, Egyptian deities are customarily portrayed as having animal heads on human bodies. The bull-man is a demon from Mesopotamian mythology, where he is a protective force against evil and appears as an attendant of the sun god (Samash). His body is human above the waist, and he also has the ears and horns of a bull.

Question: Bumblebee started talking at the end of first movie, so why doesn't he talk in this sequel?

Chosen answer: Sam says in the film that Bumblebee is milking it. Mikala asks if he is still having voice trouble so maybe he can only talk for a while before he can't talk again.

Question: In the tanning bed sequence, why was the sun tan cream put under the door?

Chosen answer: It was to stop the door from closing, becuase when the door fully closes it locks, which is seen when the cream leaks out of the bottle and the door slams shut.

Question: When they rent the villa for the night Stu pays $4200 for it without any fuss, suggesting money is no problem for him. However, when he finds a receipt for $800 from the casino the day after their wild night, he panics, acting like it's a huge amount. Why did spending $4200 not bother him, but $800 did?

Chosen answer: When they check in, he doesn't actually pay for the villa. As the receptionist said, it was just a copy of the card for security, and they can choose how to pay for the stay upon checkout. At some point in the movie he mentions that his girlfriend checks his credit card statements. This is why he panics at the $800, because she's likely to find it. The copy of the card for the hotel stay does not appear on any statements unless that particular card is used upon checkout.

Question: The timing of the Beast's curse has always confused me. The movie states he has until the rose wilts completely to break the spell, and that said rose will bloom until his twenty first year. So was the Beast's deadline his 21st birthday or would the rose begin to wilt on his 21st birthday and he would then have only a little under a year (judging from how much time appears to pass in the film) till all the petals fell off?

Chosen answer: I would assume it would be until his 21st birthday, as that is really the 21st year since his birth. After his 21st birthday he'd be older than 21.

Android Kaeli

Answer: The Rose started wilting at The Beast's 21st birthday and could have presumably started wilting years before the first time we saw a petal fall off. Given the fact that Lumiere stated that they were living with the curse for 10 years, prince Adam could be 23-24 years old at the time of the original movie,13-14 at the time of the curse, and the Rose could have been wilting for two to three years. This is my best guess given the approximate age of Prince Adam in the ripped up portrait before he was the Beast.

Question: In what language are the lyrics in the soundtrack sung? Like while Coraline is exploring and the end credits?

Chosen answer: It's all nonsense words. It's Bruno Colais (the musical director)'s signature style. It's got some inspiration from French and Hungarian accents.

Question: When Jack wins the poker game and the Titanic tickets in the bar at the start of the movie, one of the other players grabs him and says something in his own language before making as if to punch him. Does anyone know what he actually says?

Chosen answer: The man is from Sweden, and he said "Förbannade usling." In English, it is "You damn scoundrel."

Question: Can someone please explain the ending in regards to Billy Mahoney? Does Billy smile and wave at Nelson, knowing that Nelson is now dead and has paid his price? Won't he realize that Nelson was brought back to life and haunt him again?

Chosen answer: Billy forgave Nelson. he saw that Nelson was willing to die to be forgiven. That's why Billy smiled.

Question: Three questions. How come Coraline's parents had no memory of the other world? How did they get there in the first place? Shouldn't Other Mother have turned to dust when she reaches the real world (as Other Wybye tries to explain)?

Chosen answer: Perhaps they had no memory because they were saved. Both physically and mentally because everything went back to normal. The other mother captured them from Coraline because she was disobedient to her. Perhaps the Other Mother herself would've turned to dust, but not her claws.

Answer: I think the answer to the third is more like because the Other Mother was the only thing from the Other world that's actually real, whereas the other things/people in it only existed because she created them as part of her trap, hence why Wybie turns to dust and the world itself falls to pieces - their ‘existence' is only true within the other world.

Question: How did they manage to get inside Mike Tyson's house though they have come in the police car? Can't the security people understand that they are not real police because they don't have badges?

Chosen answer: I don't think the security thought they were policemen. The guys must have broken into the house when there was no security there. When they return the tiger, Mike's bodyguard says they checked the CCTV footage when they noticed the tiger was missing, found the best man's jacket in the tiger cage, and tracked them back to the hotel. There is no mention of any other security personnel except the bodyguard. Even if security guards had seen the police car and assumed they were cops, when the 'policemen' started urinating in the pool and trying to steal the tiger, they would have given themselves away. The guys broke into an empty house.

Question: Palpatine killed Plagueis in his sleep. Is there any book/information that tells if Palpatine took precautions to avoid possibly being killed this way (by an apprentice of his own)?

Chosen answer: In one of the books I've read, it mentions that Palpatine doesn't sleep. He meditates so he is always aware of his surroundings.

Question: Was Guy in on the cruel revenge prank to put dog food on Aldys, or did he just want to dance with her, and didn't know anything about it?

Chosen answer: Over the course of the evening, Guy learns that being popular isn't the most important thing in the world and wanted to make peace with Aldys. I think he was genuinely being a nice guy and wasn't in on the prank.

Question: When Adlys and Josie are in the car, and Guy pops his head in, how come he never looks at Josie? It's like she was invisible, and his face was close enough to her face, and he didn't even glance at her.

Chosen answer: Guy regards Josie as another 'nerd' and would hardly have the courtesy of looking at her. Guy's focus is on Adlys because she's the one driving.

Question: What do the rocks that the stranger in the car gives to Caleb mean?

Chosen answer: It is a rock from the ground of the final location on the list, where the spaceship has landed to transport Caleb and Abby to their new home. It is merely a clue as to where they should go on the day of October 19th.

Question: How did Commudus find out about Lucilla conspiring against him?

Chosen answer: Commudus found out through Lucius (Lucilla's son). If you watch, at a certain part at the film Commudus sees Lucius fighting and asks him about becoming a legionary. Lucius then calls himself "Maximus The Savior of Rome". Commudus then asks "who said that?" and then Lucius, who whispers it in his ear.

Question: What Ivy League university is Sam attending?

Chosen answer: The name is never said in the film, but some of the university scenes were shot at UPenn, and others at Princeton. Both are Ivy League.

Doomsday (2) - S2-E16

Question: Why does the Cyber-Leader think Dalek and Cyber technology are compatible? How and why does it know this?

Chosen answer: The Cybermen have a misplaced belief that all other life forms want to be upgraded. He can probably work out, from scaning the Dalek, that it is a powerful war machine and thus useful in subduing the humans. Once that's done, they could reward the Daleks by upgrading them.

Question: When Jetfire mentioned that "A Prime can only kill the Fallen", he never gave a reason why. Does anyone know the answer?

Chosen answer: Because only a Prime can kill another Prime. the Fallen was one of the ancient primes that arrived on Earth centuries ago.

Question: At the end of the "We Are One" song, Simba and Kiara have returned to pride rock around sunset. Fine, fine, but the thing that's been bugging me for years is: Kiara stares intently at something, causing Simba to frown and look up to see what she sees. He seems to chuckle, then turns back to her. What is it that they were looking at before he says "You'll understand some day" and why is it there?

Chosen answer: Kiara is staring at the tip of Pride Rock and thinking of the that she will be a leader one day, due to the fact that shown in the first movie that this is where the new kings/queens roar to show that they are the new rulers. Simba notices her looking and chuckles at the irony of him having wanting to be leader so badly at her age and Kiara not wanting to be a leader at all.
