Answer: As she said to Jack she wasn't working for the Drazens, she was working for some Germans as well as they were telling her to go to Berlin.

Kara

Question: Why is it that on the first day Adam Sandler sees Lucy and she makes a teepee and all the other days she makes a house?

Answer: She makes different waffle buildings each day. It depends on her mood.

Timothy Cheseborough

Answer: It's something done to one trooper in a unit who is not pulling his load, to let him know his teammates are tired of him making them look bad. It can range from a beating after lights out to scrubbing a soldier who won't shower with toilet brushes and Comet. (And yes, both of those are from my own military experience, though I wasn't the victim!) It's meant to give a warning and doesn't normally harm anything but the victim's pride. They are strongly against regulations in the past year or two as several soldiers were injured by their unit getting overzealous, just like in the movie.

Grumpy Scot

Question: I noticed Ripley has one normal eye and one red eye in the early parts of the movie, what type of injury is that generally indicative of and what causes it?

Answer: Busted blood vessel in the eye. It can be caused by several different things, stress, impact, etc. It's painless and heals in a couple of weeks. In Alien the first host was seen with one blood shot eye, the same as Ripley. Gives a hint early on that she could be infected.

Grumpy Scot

Answer: Yes, it certainly seems that way. Tradition holds that Princess Leia's wince of pain at that point is actually Carrie Fisher's wince at Harrison Ford ruining the shot, or so she thought.

Question: What does the insult "Fafanapolie" mean? I don't know if it's spelled correctly but the meaning is what I really want to know.

Answer: "Va fa Napoli" means go to Naples (Joey is speaking Italian). What Joey probably meant to say was "vaffanculo" which is a very rude saying in Italian.

Shay

The saying is technically va fa in il culo (Americanized as bafangoo), which means go f*** yourself (in the a**).

Answer: "Va fa Napoli" is a well-known phrase in Italy, meaning "go to Naples." Naples is a crime-ridden city and considered only suitable for people of objectionable character.

Question: Does anyone know why in pictures Cole always had a streak of light above his head?

Answer: That sparkle represented the dead people who were always hanging around Cole. Being in his presence, with his power to interact with the dead, caused them to have a physical signal to a perceiver of absolute truth: a camera.

Phoenix

Question: On the Deluxe Edition DVD, disc 2, there is a documentary about the Shoah Foundation. I couldn't find any credits for it, but the narrator sounded an awful lot like Morgan Freeman. Is it him?

Answer: Yes, it is.

Question: On one of the 'American Idol 3' episodes, there is a clip of Homer punching Simon Cowell, and Barney is dressed up as a maid, saying, "You told me no-one would get hurt." Was this actually on an episode of the Simpsons, or just a new clip?

Answer: This clip was taken from the season 15 episode "Smart and Smarter".

Question: As I didn't watch all the series of Angel this may have been explained in the show. I thought vampires couldn't have children? He told Buffy in an episode that vampires couldn't have children? (It was the episode where Angel lost his soul on Buffy's birthday).

Answer: It's precisely because vampires can't have children that everyone is so amazed at Angel's getting Darla pregnant. It's a Big Deal because Connor is so unique in the whole history of the world.

Carl Fink

Question: Why exactly did David Lynch have his name removed from the TV version?

Answer: Because it was edited in a way he didn't approve of. The film was actually over 3 hours long, and it was trimmed by about an hour for the cinema version, and then a certain amount of pick and mix went on to come up with the video version.

Question: If only three of the guys are sprinters, and Sanka Coffee is not, how can Sanka keep up with the others when they're doing their push-starts?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: They are sprinters and so can run very fast on dry land whilst not pushing a huge metal bobsled. They can pushstart faster than most teams but nowhere near sprinter speeds. Sanka is used to pushstarts like this from his pushcart races and so is able to keep up over the short starts. Also, he is routinely shown struggling to keep up with the other three in all around training.

Question: I don't quite understand the joke that Jack said to the doctor about the lesser of two weevils. Can anyone tell me what it means?

Answer: It's a play on the old saying "the lesser of two evils."

Question: I think Nathan is played by Paul Guilfoyle, however, after checking and double-checking I can't see Nathan on the end credits. Am I right, and does anybody know why he wasn't credited?

Answer: According to IMDB.com, Paul Guilfoyle did play Nathan, though he wasn't credited for the role.

Question: Why exactly does Carter hide from Lee behind the street post, when they are going to tell the FBI to pull their men out of the building, that the kidnapper is supposedly in?

Answer: I don't think he hides because of Lee being wrong. His assignment is to keep Lee away from the investigation and by going along with him he wouldn't be following his orders that he was supposed to.

Answer: Because he doesn't believe that Lee is right. He thinks that he's just going to annoy the FBI and so he doesn't want to be seen to be involved.

Question: I thought that there were only 2 raptors, and one got trapped in the freezer. How were there then two attacking the characters near the entry of the visitor center at the end of the movie?

Coconut

Chosen answer: There were three raptors. Remember Muldoon saying "When she came in she took over and killed all but two of the others," in reference to the largest one. Doctor Sattler locked one in the underground power room before making it back to the visitor center; Doctor Grant later asked her if she was sure there were only two left and she made the comment "Yes, unless they somehow learn to open doors." Which in the next scene with Lex and Tim we find out is possible since another raptor did in fact open a door. Tim and Lex locked one in the freezer, and still had one after them; the second one that appeared in the visitor center was the one Sattler faced before, that's why she was so surprised when seeing it.

David Mercier

Question: Does anyone know the name of the hymn played by the 4 string players at the end of the film, just before they say, "It's been a pleasure playing with you all tonight"?

Answer: It's "Nearer my God to thee."

Question: At the end, is Cyrus a ghost or a real person? If he's a ghost, why can he be seen without the glasses?

Answer: He's alive. He faked his death at the beginning of the movie to get Arthur and his children into the house, because only then would he be able to force Arthur to engage the 13th Ghost. When Cyrus is seen at the end of the movie, he is disguised with the blood patch to make it appear that he is dead to a casual observer with the glasses (everyone is wearing them at this point) and prevent Arthur from being able to figure out his plan.

Phoenix

Question: What is the meaning of bit at the end of the movie, the big guy with the sunglasses? It shows Andy's 'sidekick' and the guy on stage, who was in the suit entertaining the crowd?

Answer: We're supposed to wonder if Andy didn't really fake his own death.
