Question: What exactly is the "infamous" Wilhelm scream?

Answer: A series of short painful screams performed by an actor were recorded for the film "Distant Drums." The recording was archived into the studio's sound effects library and it was used in many of their films since. "Star Wars" Sound Designer Ben Burtt tracked down the scream recording. Ben has adopted the scream as sort of a personal sound signature, and has included it in many of the films he has worked on. Since then it has grown to be something of an "in-joke" in Hollywood among sound designers, who like to see how many films they can fit it into. A list of "Wilhelms" and where they appear can be found at http://www.hollywoodlostandfound.net/wilhelm.html.

rabid anarchist

Answer: There is a clasp on the chain, which can be seen in shots in all three movies. However, as noted in several mistakes on this site, there are some shots where The Ring is inexplicably off the chain in subsequent shots.

Question: Does the Congressman know a different route to the same spa Elle goes, and how is it they arrive at the same time?

Answer: It appears she went a different way. However, that doesn't mean it's not possible that it takes the same amount of time to reach the same destination.

Question: What is the significance of the second video Amelie gives the glass man? I understand the first one - the horse is with the cyclists, and yet different from them, like the girl in the painting. But I don't get the second one.

Answer: As far as I can see, Amelie is just trying to give him a view of the world, so he doesn't become entirely cut off.

Question: What are the two muscle cars used in the film?

Answer: The blue car with the white stripes is a 1969 Chevy Camero with a yanko engine. The orange one is a Dodge Hemi Challenger.

Question: What's the car they 'hijack' from Dan Marino?

Answer: It's a Cadillac CTS.

Answer: We do not know what has become of him. Most likely he is just attending college, and Michael has yet to find him.

He got killed by Michael because the clown mentioned that he killed 4 students that attended Hillcrest Academy. But I don't know.

Answer: I read somewhere that he changed his name to Zeke, or something. Relocated to Ohio, or somewhere. And started dealing drugs at a high school. He also had a thing with his English teacher, she bore a startling resemblance to a Bond henchwoman. He didn't seem to be dating Molly.

Alan Keddie

Question: What are the drummer and Anna/Tess saying to each other during the band audition? I've watched it a lot, and i can never get the part where Anna has a short monologue.

Answer: Drummer: "what are you doing?" Anna/Tess: "I don't know, it's not working." Drummer: "Just do it".

Question: Why wasn't Dale arrested after he hit the officer's sister and beat up two other people?

kurt hudson

Chosen answer: If she arrested Dale, her sister (Dale's gf) would be upset. But mostly, it's a small town where they all know each other, and that's just how things work.

Answer: Plus The sister would have denied it. She said she fell down and just like Kurt added it's a small town plus he already had people on his side when he jumped on the family at the dinner. Plus his girlfriend jumped in mom face because Dale was mad at husband.

Question: Why did they use some different actors in this film? Both Pyro and Shadowcat are completely different, both are very noticeable in X1, Pyro is blonde and Shadowcat is a red-head.

Answer: In the first there roles were small, so they likely just cast the people who would take the part for the lowest salary. In the second, they needed people who could actually act.

Question: In Sofia Coppola's photo gallery on IMDB, there are three photos showing her in the press room at the DGA Awards holding what looks like a DGA Award in her arms. Since she didn't win this particular award, why does she have a photo of herself with one.

Answer: That is not the DGA Award - that is the DGA Nomination Medal - all the nominees get one.

Question: Does anyone know the name of the song that is playing when Jamie Presley is walking down the hall with her friends.

Answer: The song is called "Yoo Hoo" by Imperial Teen. The same song plays in Jawbreaker when Rose McGowan is leading her friends down the hall, which is of course, the scene that Not Another Teen Movie is mimicking.

It's a '65 Lincoln Continental.

Doppelganger - S1-E5

Question: When discussing the bomb plot, there's something odd with the audio. When Sloane's talking, at two points he says "UCO", but it's obviously been dubbed over - the shot's from behind but the tone is different. Arguably just post-production looping, but because the pitch is so noticeably different I'm assuming they mentioned some organisation they couldn't refer to, so changed it. Can't be the UN, as they mention that earlier in the scene. Anyone know why that was changed? (00:35:05)

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: It does sound overdubbed, but there was no change in the organization. UCO is United Commission Organization. There are signs when Patel is coming that say UCO so obviously it wasn't changed.

Chosen answer: Hackman's team was closely monitoring what Hoffman was doing in regards to the tampering, as evidenced by their taping of his conversation with Weiss when he decides not to pay. Cusack and Weiss probably anticipated this so were forced to offer the deal to Hoffman to keep up the illusion.

Answer: The short answer is because the viewers did not yet know their intentions so, from the viewers point of view, they should be asking both sides for money. Also, even though it was revealed much later they were on the side of the planting, it doesn't mean they were not greedy, and they would have taken money from either side or both sides.

Question: Can anyone tell what brand the black and white hat that Will Smith is wearing when they are waiting for the Dixie 7?

Answer: A german movie magazine wrote that this hat has no brand. It was made especially for the movie by the costume designer. The label on it is merely blank. A reader asked the same question at the magazine's forum.

Question: I know that some aspects of the movie were altered from the source materials because of copyright issues and various other reasons (i.e. having Skinner as the Invisible Man instead of Griffith.) Were there any such reasons given for changing the nature of Dorian's portrait from Wilde's novel, or was that just altered to make his death scene more "dramatic?"

Answer: I haven't read this book of Wilde, but I think alterations were prompted not by copyright issues but because this conveniences the "league" storyline.

Question: When the people are on the boat ride, can anyone tell me what the things in the pictures on the walls are?

Answer: I don't know every detail but I do know that there is a spider, a chicken being beheaded, Wonka's rival Slugworth, an eyeball, a giant centipede crawling across a man's face, and a chameleon eating a bug.

Odd Jobs / Movie Magic - S3-E2

Question: At the end of Movie Magic, Trixie and the 2 boys that were with her (who said they made their movie because they were bored) said that comedy is the lowest form of entertainment next to animation. What are all the forms of entertainment, and please put them in order from lowest to highest or vice versa?

Answer: It's a joke. One cannot list all forms of entertainment. The list would never end. The boys were trying to convey how superior they were to the others, by saying that they were too good for comedy.
