Question: Hobbs tells Toretto that when he found the tracking device on his car he was able to locate the receiver. How is that possible? I suppose a "receiver" does only receive and not send any data out.

Chosen answer: We may assume in this case the 'receiver' sends out a search signal out into the world, when that signal reaches the tracker, the tracker sends back a response to the 'receiver' So it may be possible to track a receiver as stated in the movie.

Question: We know that Wendy's pictures on her camera are clues to everyone's deaths, but Death's plan was for them to die on the roller coaster. Also, Wendy took the photos before she got on Devil's Flight, so if everyone was supposed to die on the coaster, what's the point of the pictures?

M0vi3

Chosen answer: It's metioned in the filmakers' commentary that in every Final Destination movie everyone has a premonition (Of course), well it's also mentioned by the director, James Wong, that if death wants to kill them why give them the premonition in the first place? Well he believes that there is some other force out there trying to prevent death from killing these teenagers. That's where the premonitions come in including the signs therefore, Wendy's pictures are helping signs like voices or visions from other movies. It's just the whole "giving signs" thing is portrayed differently in this movie.

Question: Why didn't the holy water work? What did Jerry holding the vial over the fire have to do with anything? Did that somehow make the water un-holy?

SAZOO1975

Chosen answer: Because it wasn't real holy water. Peter Vincent never believed that vampires were real, and was simply humoring the boy. He probably filled the vial with regular water.

Question: Is Barricade (the Ford Mustang police cruiser) ever mentioned or shown in this film? Or do we still don't know what happened to him after the first movie?

Friso94

Chosen answer: He has not been seen since the first film. However, according to the comics that take place between the movies, Barricade has been working reconnaissance ever since the first film.

Question: Would it be safe to say that Death used the police officer to aid in Nora's death in the elevator? If he would not have called her and startled her, causing her to drop her phone, her hair would not have gotten caught on the old man's hook, and she would not have panicked. She would have casually walked out of the elevator.

Chosen answer: It COULD be assumed yes. But there could have been another accident that would have caused Nora's hair to get caught in the hooks. Other then assuming that, Burke was part of death's plan to kill Nora.

Question: When the Stabbington Brothers climb out of the tunnel from the "Snuckling Duckling" Pub in the woods, one of them devises part of their plan of their revenge on Flynn by cutting himself off at the kingdom. How did they know Flynn was head to the kingdom with Rapunzel, even after fleeing from there when stealing the tiara? Since there's no explanation, this part of their quest would make no sense.

Chosen answer: I noticed that inconsistency too. I suppose that they would assume he will eventually go home, especially if there are no other kingdoms around and nowhere else to go.

Question: How come when the Chipmunks are being bullied, and the Chipette's are harassed by Ian, they just don't claw them up, like Alvin and Simon did to Ryan and the jock earlier in the movie?

M0vi3

Chosen answer: Because they're more sensitive and weaker.

Question: When Cliff is watching TV, the sound of voices singing "Open the door and let me in." come from the television. What song is this?

The Impossible Dream

Chosen answer: That is the song "Open the Door Richard."

Question: Since Maximus was the only one who went to gather the pub thugs in order to save Flynn from being hanged, I've got to ask two questions. 1) How were the thugs able to trust him? After all, when Maximus bursts into their pub after one of them helps Rapunzel and Flynn escape into the tunnel, they know he's the Captain's horse who was hunting them down. 2) How was Maximus able to communicate with the thugs so they would know what kind of situation Flynn was in?

Chosen answer: Maximus has a very expressive face, and is adept at some hand (hoof?) gestures. When he showed up he must have had such an insistent and desperate expression that they agreed to help. Perhaps the mime thug helped them to decode Maximus' pantomimed communications.

Question: Submitting as a question since it actually may explain something rather than a mistake: In the scene where Prince Humperdink throws the machine to maximum, note Westley's left hand. Did anyone else notice he appears to be holding the tubes attached to his abdominal area? Seems like an odd thing to do (or for the the Count to not notice). Initially I thought it was a production ad lib to keep the tubes from flailing around too much (to prevent damage to either the prop or Cary - or keep it from accidentally getting snagged by the nearby machinery). However, it also seemed to open the possibility that because he is holding the tube, it might be lessening the effect of the machine and may have contributed to the "mostly dead" status. He's holding the tube throughout the scene (not just for the shot where he is writhing).

Chosen answer: It is a natural reaction to grab onto things that are causing pain and try to remove them. The machine causes immense pain and so Westley is trying to remove the tubes, however futile it may be.

Question: How did the Executioner zombie get into the shower room? It couldn't have burrowed in like the other zombies because it is simply too big. The cast were standing by the entrance and the Executioner does not appear at the entrance.

THGhost

Chosen answer: Only Claire, Kim-Yong and Alice were left, and Alice and Claire were paying attention to Kim, who was very reluctant about going into the tunnel. The camera is just focused on what the characters are focused on, Kim-Yong.

Question: I think I have missed something, but I believe, the deaths in the movie are all wrong. First of all, in the first premonition, the cowboy dies BEFORE hunt and Janet, but later in the movie he dies after them. Secondly, how can the cowboy survive if he was in the thing that was SUPPOSED to kill him? Thirdly, in the premonition, a car explosion kills George and Lori, but when Nick falls back and gets impaled, he isn't burned. Lastly, during the mall scene, before the premonition, Nick reaches the theater too late to save Janet, and she dies, but George was the last person who died, and Lori was after George. It should have gone to Lori, then Nick, THEN Janet. Can someone please explain this or tell me if I'm wrong?

M0vi3

Chosen answer: 1. The cowboy almost died in the original accident (hence, he ended up in the hospital) and thus death moved on to Hunt & Janet.2. The cowboy would have died as he did in the premonition, but the only reason he died like that is because Nick asked him to move (in the vision) which he didn't do in real life.3. Nick was close enough to be pushed backward by the pressure wave, but not close enough to be burned.4. *shrugs* mistake maybe?

Deedge

Answer: Janet never died before the premonition, most likely case scenario would be that since both Lori and Janet were at the theater death would be more likely to "kill to birds with one stone" which would mean that he wouldn't care about the order. Death would just want to get it done. Same scenario for Nick, Janet and Lori's deaths at the cafe, and Ashley and Ashlyn's deaths from FD3.

Question: When Jane and Roxy are in the hotel, they run out onto the street in towels, they then buy the 'I (heart) NY' t-shirts. What happened to their other clothes that they were wearing?

kkaattiiee

Chosen answer: Before the girls go to the stall where the "I heart New York" shirts are, they broke into an apartment and Jane could have left her clothes in the bathroom when she was taking her shower, and Roxy could have left her clothes somewhere else around the hotel room. As for their towels and robe, they could have disposed of them in a bin or left them in the cubicles etc...

Question: Why does Violet's hair change color? Is it a mood indicator or something?

aNg3lx

Chosen answer: Her clothes also changes color, and so does the color of the clothes of the real XPD154. It's never fully explained, but it's probably a technological advancement from the future to change colors at will, whether it's bottled hair color or clothes.

Question: When the Ghostbusters went on trial, did they CHOOSE to waive their right to trial by jury and be tried by the judge? Given the obvious bias of this judge against them, if I were them, I would certainly not have waived my right to a jury trial.

Chosen answer: Violating a restraining order is regarded as Contempt of Court, and thus is not subject to trial by jury.

Question: Right at the beginning of the movie, one of Rob's men sniffs at and even takes a bite out of a piece of a cow pat and can estimate the tinkers head start. How is that possible?

Chosen answer: Cow patties leaving the cow and plopping on the ground leave a distinctively odor and start to harden up after a certain length of time. It isn't to hard to speculate that, since these are cattlemen by trade, they would have a systematic way of knowing how long it would take for a cow pie to harden & lose it's odor. Example: they would know that a cow pie left out for 2 days would lose half it's odor & become semi-hard but still have a mushy center.

Question: I've always found it odd that although Wallyworld is closed, the car park is still open and accessible. Is this normal for closed US parks, or could it be considered a goof?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: The parking lot is huge. There's really not any way to close the lot itself, but even if there were gates, Clark would probably have been oblivious to them by then.

Question: What exactly was Dennis Nedry's plan overall? The shutting down of the command building's doors makes sense but shutting down all the park fences always struck me as a really pointless risk, especially considering he then proceeds to drive through the very areas he just disabled. Was he trying to create a distraction to cover his abrupt departure (in which case are we to infer he was actually willing to leave his boss, his colleagues and several visitors stranded with the dinosaurs?) or did he simply not a safer means of smuggling the embryos off the island?

Chosen answer: Twofold. He had to shut down the fences because they contained the exit gates so he could leave to get to the docks, presumably because he didn't have the time to override the individual doors as he happened upon them. Secondly, it also serves as a massive distraction so that he's highly unlikely to be chased by anyone from the park (Dinosaurs not withstanding!).

Question: Help me out if I'm wildly off: The Ugandan gangster attacks LeChiffre in his hotel, who Bond later kills. LeChiffre then continues with the game and panics when Mr. White demands the money. I was under the assumption that LeChiffre only owed money to the gangster and therefore needed to win the game to pay him back. Why does he continue with the game after the gangster is killed?

Brad Premium member

Chosen answer: Le Chiffre operates as the banker for Mr White's entire organisation. The Ugandan is only one of many individuals and groups for whom Le Chiffre provides financial services; killing him does little to solve the problem of the missing money. Plus there's the question of trust - if Le Chiffre can't keep the money safe, then Mr White's organisation have no use for him and, as we see in the movie, will readily eliminate him. Le Chiffre's desperate to recover the money to prove his trustworthiness and save his own life.

Question: How exactly did Rafiki know Simba was alive?

Eyexpress333

Chosen answer: Rafiki is a bit of a msytic or a shaman; a quasi-magical character. He was able to smell Simba on the wind that we followed from one to the other.

Phixius Premium member

Answer: Rafiki just knows because he's wise.
