Elizabethtown (2005)

Continuity mistake: In the hotel we see Drew, while on the phone with Claire, as he washes his garish orange-white socks, and hangs them to dry. A few shots later he is wearing them, and later (still on the phone with Claire) he wears dark green socks. (00:48:45)

Factual error: Dusseldorf does not, nor has it ever, looked like the quaint place shown in the film. The caption does get quite a laugh from German audiences, though. The place shown is the town of Gengenbach.

Question: What does Gimli say, after Legolas so spectacularly defeated the Mumak and slid down its trunk? The cheering in the theatre tends to drown out the dialogue...

Ioreth

Chosen answer: He says "That still only counts as one" (As they are keeping score).

Zaphod Beeblebrox

Question: Can anyone tell me about the strange flag (sort of a blue lozenge in a white field) the Surprise flies in her disguise as a whaler?

Ioreth

Chosen answer: The flag is a signal flag, and is probably meant to signal that the ship is a whaler or engaged in fishing operations. Such flags were part of an international code, which, with some modification, is still in use today. (The flag is similar to the modern-day "Foxtrot".)

Mystic River (2003)

Question: Can anyone tell me the name of the actor who plays Jimmy's father-in-law? He briefly turns up at the wake, and I'm reasonably sure that Jimmy addresses him as "Theo".

Ioreth

Chosen answer: The actor's name is Kevin Conway.

Factual error: In Venice, Quatermain hunts down M in a cemetery, only there is no cemetery in Venice. The burial ground is on the island of San Michele in the lagoon. (01:01:25)
