Visible crew/equipment: When the mercenaries are able to fight back after Rambo's intervention on the mounted .50 cal, the Merc with the bandana on his head climbs up some wooden steps to get a better firing position. Just as he takes up his firing position, you can see directly behind him a video camera with blue tape on it pointing over his shoulder, which is then reflected in the next shot over his shoulder.

Rambo (2008)
27th Nov 2022
Ready Player One (2018)
Revealing mistake: Just after Wade gets threatened and his home is about to be bombed, he leaves his van trying to call his friends. After this shot, the camera pans over a load of scrap cars. Whilst the movie is meant to be set in America, at least 3 UK registered cars are visible in amongst the scrap cars, still wearing their UK plates. These 3 rather unremarkable cars, a Ford Mondeo, Fiat Punto, and Ford Fiesta Courier van, are unlikely to have ended up in the US.
Suggested correction: Though unlikely, not impossible. This is a future scenario and it's not far fetched to think that some economic crisis prompted people to buy import cars and then never given US plates. Or they were imported for parts. Or some UK workers using their own car.
30th Oct 2022
Rambo (2008)
Visible crew/equipment: When Rambo is attempting to lead the soldiers away on a fake trail, and just before he sets the claymore trap on the Tallboy bomb, there is a shot of Rambo running from the left side of the screen to the right, and just before the camera stops panning right, in the bottom right corner of the screen you can see crew equipment.
20th Sep 2022
The Last of the Mohicans (1992)

Prey (2022)
2nd Nov 2017
The Karate Kid (1984)
Other mistake: When Daniel and his mother have to bump start the car, she shouts to Allie to pop the clutch. There is no tell tale sign of the car reacting to the clutch being dropped, and the sound of the engine starting is preceded by the sound of the starter motor turning as if the key was used.
11th Sep 2017
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
Revealing mistake: After Bond's BMW runs across the spikes that deflate the tyres, there follows a side shot of one of the rear tyres re-inflating. If you look carefully, under the car near the wheel is the mechanism they used to raise the car to 're-inflate' the tyre.
9th Dec 2016
American Sniper (2014)
Continuity mistake: When the two Humvees are leaving, they get intercepted by a green Renault 12 which they shoot up and ram. The Humvee after hitting the Renault then hits a wall and suffers damage. After the Humvees come to a halt some moments later, the wall damaged Humvee is now pristine again.

Jason Bourne (2016)
Continuity mistake: In the chase scene between the black Dodge Charger and the Police SWAT truck, the damage to the left side of the Charger alternates frequently between damaged and un-damaged.
6th Apr 2016
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Other mistake: Just before Hermione gives Harry and Ron the two drugged cakes for Crabbe and Goyle in the food hall, snow is falling and to a fairly low level. In spite of this, and it being a continuous shot, as the camera lowers down, the snow ceases, but right at the end of the shot, the camera view raises up a significant amount where we should be able to see the falling snow again, but someone wanted to save pennies on the VFX budget, because the snow has gone.
30th Mar 2016
The Avengers (2012)
Trivia: When Thor and Hulk battle on the helicarrier, Thor hits Hulk, who collides with a Harrier jump jet. The prop Harrier which Hulk hits is the very same one that Arnold Schwarzenegger flew in True Lies.
16th Nov 2015
Aliens (1986)
Continuity mistake: Hicks gives Ripley a wristwatch which is linked to his tracker. If you look at the watch, its face is mostly black with a tiny portion that is clear. However, when Newt has the watch and falls down the tunnel and is wandering around the pool of water before Hicks and Ripley find her, you can see that the watch face has no black - it has a full clear face and appears to be a standard digital watch of the 1980's era.
16th Nov 2015
Gremlins (1984)
Continuity mistake: Billy gets shot with a crossbow bolt by Stripe and you see it in his left arm. Next shot cuts to a silver stereo/boombox, and then the shot cuts back to Billy. The crossbow bolt in his arm is now missing, but returns in subsequent shots.

Hard Target (1993)
Continuity mistake: As Boudreax kicks the motorcyclist off his bike, the blue doors on the van in the background open, in a later shot, the blue doors are now closed again.
21st Feb 2015
Hard Target (1993)
Revealing mistake: When Boudreaux leaps over the bonnet of the police car to roundhouse kick the motorcyclist off, if you look carefully in the background, there is a blue van with its back doors closed. As the motorcyclist comes to a complete halt, the blue van visibly shakes in the background and the back doors burst open. This is because the van was used as an anchor to stop the motorcyclist after being kicked off the bike.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Trivia: Eggsy needs the code for the prison door that holds Princess Tilde. The code given is "2625." This spells out the word "anal" on a telephone keypad.

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Trivia: There is an additional scene about two minutes into the end credits.
12th Feb 2015
Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Continuity mistake: When Eggsy and Harry are walking toward the Kingsman tailors just before he gets introduced to the new weapons, there is a long shot of them walking down the street and two silver cars are coming down the street behind them. In the next shot the two silver cars that should still be in the background have disappeared. Also, as they approach the Lexus parked in front of the Tailor's, and there is no car beside them, in a second perspective, there is suddenly a black vehicle parked behind the Lexus.
11th Jan 2015
Paddington (2014)
Continuity mistake: Just before the wallet thief smashes up the green VW Golf, there is a shot where you can see that the hubcap is missing from the passenger side front wheel. In a later shot however when it shows the VW Golf has come to a rest, the hubcap is now back on.
24th Dec 2014
Universal Soldier (1992)
Factual error: The prison bus manages to utterly defy physics. Scott throws a grenade which detonates by the rear left wheel. However, the bus then rolls over toward where the explosion occurred, not away as it should have done.
13th Oct 2014
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
Revealing mistake: At the end of the movie, the Turtles accidentally destroy Vernon's new car. If you look closely at one of the last shots of the movie where you can see the car now upside down, you can see the car doesn't have an engine, presumably to make it easier to flip.
28th Sep 2014
The Equalizer (2014)
Trivia: The original black Jaguar XJ6 Series III car, as used in the TV series of the same name, makes a cameo appearance in the background of the scene where McCall tortures the corrupt cop.
20th Aug 2014
The Pacifier (2005)
Factual error: When the Navy Seals land on the beach, Shane then gives a briefing on their target to capture and what to do. This is nonsense. A briefing would happen before they even left to do the mission, not as they started it in enemy territory. Being Navy Seals, they have a degree of intelligence, certainly enough that they wouldn't need a quick reminder as they start the mission.
4th Aug 2014
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Trivia: There are two scenes after the movie finishes. The first one is of a young Groot dancing, with Drax trying to catch him out. The second scene comes right at the very end - Howard the Duck makes a cameo appearance with The Collector. Howard can also be seen faintly in the background of the scene with The Collector during the movie.

Continuity mistake: When Dusty is being pulled through the tunnel before the first Wings around the Globe race, he has a small Skull and Crossbones logo on his front cowling just behind the prop. The camera cuts away, and then cuts back and the Skull and Crossbones logo is now gone, by the time Dusty is next seen outside, the logo has reappeared.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Trivia: SPOILER: At the end on Nick Fury's gravestone, under his name is the passage from Ezekiel 25:17: "The path of the righteous man is beset..." This was the start of a big monologue made famous by Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction. (01:59:25)

24th Mar 2014
Need for Speed (2014)
Revealing mistake: When the final race is under way, the silver Saleen S7 hits a Police SUV and makes it flip, you can see the smoke coming out of the bottom of the SUV where the cannon has fired to flip the SUV.
24th Mar 2014
Need for Speed (2014)
Continuity mistake: When the Shelby Mustang makes the 'Grasshopper' jump, the wheels change to a completely different type when it's in the air. After it lands, the wheels change back to the original wheels.
22nd Mar 2014
On Deadly Ground (1994)
Factual error: When the two bad guys shoot at the elevator, they set off the claymore mine, and a huge flame and explosion kills them. A claymore is explosives and ball bearings, they don't create big fuel type flames, just a big focused explosion and shredding of anything in front of it.
22nd Mar 2014
On Deadly Ground (1994)
Continuity mistake: Michael Caine gets the rundown from the mercenaries that are to kill Steven Seagal, the lead mercenary takes Caine to one side and asks how he wants him delivered. The camera shot changes to a side view of Caine, and he turns his head full to the right and talks to the camera as if its the lead mercenary's viewpoint. The problem with this shot is the mercenary is stood in front of Caine, when Caine turns his head full to the right as per the next camera shot, it means in actuality, he's turned his head away from the mercenary completely and is talking to empty space.
Plot hole: Luke states that the reason for hiding Zeus' lightning bolt in Percy's shield is so that he can get the bolt to Hades, and thus start a war that will wipe out the Gods of Olympus. However, this simply cannot work. The whole plot of the movie rests on Percy accidentally dropping the shield, which Percy did innocently and not by any kind of design or planning. Had he not dropped the shield, Percy and the others would have been taken by the souls, Hades would never have discovered the lightning bolt, and the plot of the movie unravels from there.
2nd Dec 2013
The Hitcher (2007)
Continuity mistake: After Ryder has destroyed all the police cruisers with his Trans Am, there is a shot from the police helicopter looking down at him driving. Ryder is wearing black gloves, but in the immediate next shot, they've now gone.
12th Nov 2013
The Starving Games (2013)
Continuity mistake: When Kantmiss is climbing the tree, the ladder leading up is almost vertical, but in the next shot as she reaches the top, the ladder now has a significant angle to it.
18th Nov 2011
In Time (2011)
Continuity mistake: When the Timekeepers Police car is sideswiped by the truck, you can see the drivers door bursts open, and the panelling where the door would latch onto to close is dented severely which would prevent the door closing again, but when the camera cuts to an inside shot of the car, the door is shut as if there is no damage.
Trivia: During the title credits, a rocket can be seen in the background of one shot. This is a reference to the book The Adventures of Tintin: Destination Moon.
29th Aug 2011
Clash of the Titans (2010)
Plot hole: When Andromeda and Perseus wake up on the beach, Andromeda tells Perseus that Argos needs a new leader/king. The problem with this is there is nothing onscreen to show that she even knew her father the King had died. She was hanging by her arms facing the Kraken and she couldn't turn around. By the time her father died, she was already falling into the sea, so again, she shouldn't even know her father has died.
11th Aug 2011
Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Trivia: Before Steve Rogers exits the chamber that changes him into Captain America, the sound effect for the machine winding down is the same one as for the rocket pack shutting down in The Rocketeer, another Joe Johnston movie.
26th Jul 2011
Battle: Los Angeles (2011)
Audio problem: Near the start of the movie, the Marines are out training and are approached by a group of Hum Vees that are to take them away because of the impending battle. The engine noise from the Hum Vees however is totally wrong, and is distinctively from a Willys Jeep.
22nd Jul 2011
Yogi Bear (2010)
Continuity mistake: Before the fireworks start, it's still very much daylight, but 2 minutes later, it's now significantly darker to allow the fireworks to be seen.
5th Jul 2011
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
Plot hole: When we see Sentinel Prime being extracted from the Ark by Optimus, we can see that Sentinel Prime already looks the same way as he does throughout the rest of the movie. The Ark crash landed in the 1960's, the Rosenbauer Panther Fire Truck didn't exist in the form we see Sentinel Prime transform into. All of the other Autobots came to Earth in their proto forms and adopted a disguise when they arrived [we see them scanning alternate modes - one Decepticon is shown doing likewise in this movie.]. Sentinel Prime already has his disguise when on the ark, which isn't possible.
1st Jul 2011
Nighthawks (1981)
Revealing mistake: All of the bullet holes in the target Da Silva fires at are wrong. When a bullet hits something, the explosive force exits in the same direction as the bullet, yet when you look at the target, you can see that the ruptured paper of the target has blown toward Da Silva, obviously a side result of having explosive charges on the back of the target to simulate bullets going through.
1st Jul 2011
Nighthawks (1981)
Revealing mistake: When Da Silva has finished shooting on the police firing range, the camera does one last shot of the target and you can see the squib detonator wire hanging from the hole that's just been created in the head area of the target.
1st Jul 2011
Nighthawks (1981)
Continuity mistake: When Da Silva is on the police firing range, he has a fresh target. He fires 5 times and then the camera does a closeup of the target, yet there are 8 bullet holes in the target.
22nd Jun 2011
Killers (2010)
Continuity mistake: When Jen is driving her Volvo convertible, she gets stopped by one of the neighbours. Just before she gets stopped, you can see the back window is up. When the camera shows Jen talking to the neighbour, the window is now down, and when Jen drives away, the window is now back up again.
19th Jun 2011
Bad Teacher (2011)
Continuity mistake: When Diaz is forcing the board examiner to drink the glass of drugged wine, he takes a big gulp leaving only a small amount in the glass. The camera cuts to a shot of Diaz pushing the glass back toward his mouth to get him to drink more and there's now considerably more wine in the glass.
12th Jun 2011
Bolt (2008)
Plot hole: At the start of the movie, a great deal is made of the boom mic that enters the shot. This is ridiculous, because Bolt's view would not be restricted to what was onscreen, he'd have a perfect view of the person holding the boom mic (as evidenced by it not being stable). There's no possibility of him not seeing the person holding the mic either. As Bolt completely and utterly believes the world he lives in, and thinks the situations he finds himself in (saving Penny) are real, someone holding a boom mic would break the illusion for him. In all instances in the movie where an outside force (i.e. a dog handler) interacts with him, Bolt never gets to see the person handling him (handler approaches from behind), the boom mic operator however is literally right in front of him.
Suggested correction: He wasn't paying attention and considering that his focus was only on the "action", how the hell would he notice a boom mic when he's trying to protect Penny? His "reality" is never broken even AFTER he's in his trailer.
8th Jun 2011
Falling Down (1993)
Audio problem: Near the start of the movie, D-Fens calls his ex-wife at her house. When she enters the kitchen, the phone isn't particularly loud, yet in the previous shot, she was quite far away from the house, with lots of people chatting and making noise, there's no way she could have heard it at the point she did.
29th May 2011
The Running Man (1987)
Audio problem: Just after Dynamo kills Weiss, the next shot shows Dynamo approaching the camera. You can see Dynamos lips moving, and he's speaking, but you can't hear anything.
29th May 2011
Armageddon (1998)
Revealing mistake: When it shows the first shuttle docking with the Russian space station, you can see the word "Force" on the side of the shuttle. When the second shuttle docks, its a reverse of the same footage, because now you can see the word "Force" is backwards.
26th May 2011
The Hangover Part 2 (2011)
Continuity mistake: When Phil, Alan and Stu are sat in the diner near the start of the movie, the amount of orange juice in Phil's glass changes between shots, even though Phil doesn't drink from it once.
19th May 2011
Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005)
Continuity mistake: Stitch, toward the end of the movie, scratches Lilo on her face just before he runs away to try to leave the planet. Lilo goes on stage to do her song and the scratches to her face are now gone.
19th May 2011
Hollow Man (2000)
Continuity mistake: When Sebastian and Linda fall on top of the elevator, both of them are clear of each other. In the next shot however, Sebastian is holding onto Linda.
30th Apr 2011
Thor (2011)
Trivia: When Agent Coulson asks for someone to "go up top" to get a good firing position on Thor when he tries to take Mjolnir, it is Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, who will go on to feature in The Avengers. (00:56:10)
30th Apr 2011
Thor (2011)
30th Apr 2011
Thor (2011)
Trivia: Stan Lee makes his customary appearance as the driver of the white pickup truck that tries to free Mjolnir from the ground. (00:36:10)
9th Apr 2011
Hall Pass (2011)
Continuity mistake: After sex, Gerry sits next to Grace on the bed and his pink shirt is unbuttoned. Several shots throughout the conversation whilst on the bed and his shirt buttons are now done up, but when he gets up his shirt is now unbuttoned again.
20th Mar 2011
The Incredibles (2004)
Continuity mistake: When Bob Parr goes to his boss' office to be told off, you can see the door in the background is closed. Bob gets up and walks toward the door which he has now supposedly opened. You never see it physically come into shot, but when Bob is told to close the door, the shot hasn't changed but you can now see the door in shot being closed, which means the door suddenly opened itself. The framing of the shot never changes, therefore we should have seen the door in shot.
15th Mar 2011
Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005)
Continuity mistake: When Maggie goes to look at the green Nissan 200SX, it has a set of standard Nissan alloy wheels. When the shot cuts to Herbie being lifted above the Nissan, the wheels have now changed to standard steel wheels.
2nd Mar 2011
The Naked Gun (1988)
Continuity mistake: Just before Frank accidentally nudges one of the fishermen into the river with his car, if you look in the background there is a police car. In the next shot of Frank getting out of his car on the pier, the police car is now noticeably much closer than in the previous shot.
27th Feb 2011
Paul (2011)
Trivia: Stick around after the movie has finished, at least 4 minutes of extra footage is shown.
21st Feb 2011
Paul (2011)
Plot hole: The huge explosion that rips through Tara's house isn't very likely. She only left the stove on for a short while, and if there was really a massive concentration of gas as depicted by the explosion, the Agent who fired the shot that triggered it should have collapsed from inhaling so much gas.
16th Jan 2011
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009)
Other mistake: The train hits the Hummer in its back right corner, yet in spite of this, the Hummer still manages to get launched perfectly straight into the air. The hit from the train should have meant the Hummer was at least spinning sideways in the air as it was launched. (01:00:30)
2nd Jan 2011
Taken (2008)
Factual error: Bryan's hot wiring of the Volkswagen Golf is feasible, all except that he doesn't break the physical steering lock that would prevent him from turning the wheel. Old Volkswagens are quite difficult to break the steering lock, a sharp snap of the wheel does not break it as it's quite a bit more sturdy than a mere pin. Pulling at the wires does nothing to affect the steering lock, and the lock is shielded precisely to stop outside tampering. Not enough time had passed for him to achieve the task of removing the security. The scene shown is not a condensed montage scene, it's a complete scene from start to finish of what Bryan did to steal the car, and the steering lock was never broken.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: Van Ryberg shoots a grenade, which goes in at an angle from the right of the screen to the left and hits the robot on its right side. Van Ryberg fires another grenade, and this time the grenade travels from the left side of the screen to the right hitting the left side of the robot. The problem is, Van Ryberg didn't move and shot both grenades from the same place, it would be physically impossible for him have hit the robot from both the angles depicted onscreen.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Plot hole: The Sheriff decides to go out in a blaze of glory by flying the helicopter into the robot. The robot has already stopped right next to Van Ryberg and the Doctor, yet the Sheriff still thinks flying a helicopter full of fuel (as witnessed by the huge explosion) is the best way to save his friends. Quite simply, if the robot didn't kill them, the massive fireball from the crash certainly should have.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: One of the survivors says "I guess luck is on our side", he then gets hit with two laser blasts that hit him from immediately off to his right. The rest of the group run away, and the camera then cuts back to the exact same shot with the same background, and the robot that fired the laser blasts is now far away in the background. Its makes no sense that the robot would be close to the group to fire the lasers, and then move further away for the next camera shot.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Plot hole: The Sherrif and the two occupants of the police car get away from the black SUV, and the female says "I think we lost it", as that was the intention. Bizarrely, in an attempt to 'lose' the SUV, they park the police car in the centre of the road with the lights on the roof still lit, which then means the SUV finds them easily, making no sense whatsoever.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: The Sheriff and Van Ryberg go to the armoury to get weapons, check to see if they are loaded and then leave. Absolutely no armoury in the world would leave loaded weapons racked up, ammunition is always kept separate.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: Van Ryberg shoots two grenades from his rifle at the robot, and big fiery explosions are seen. No grenade from that rifle would have fuel type explosion like that.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the NSA guys are taking the Doctor through the military base, in one camera shot they slow down and there's a metal globe ornament on the side of the road. The next camera shot to show outside the car shows them to be fast moving. The next camera shot shows them slowing down again at the same metal globe ornament.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: Van Ryberg, the Doctor and Madison get picked up in an old Chrysler people carrier, which is distinctly square shaped and with silver alloy wheels. When they get to their destination however, the people carrier has now changed into a Chrysler Voyager with a much more rounded body, and now sporting black steel wheels.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the girl is shot by the robot in between the two yellow diggers, the laser leaves a big red blood patch on her top, but when we later see her dead body on the ground, the big patch has disappeared.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: When the group of survivors are walking between the two yellow digging machines, the girl at the back gets shot by a laser. If you watch carefully, she reacts to the shot before she gets hit.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: At the end, the narration states that "all computer systems around the globe are temporarily shut down." This might seem plausible were if not for the car that drives and stops into camera shot just as the narration starts, which has a computer to run the engine.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Plot hole: The NSA guy states that Van Ryberg "knows more about remote controlled attack drones than anyone on the planet". A bold claim, considering he was only a Specialist in the Army, would have been trained by someone more technically competent on Reaper and Predator drones, and is not likely to know more about them than the company responsible for their manufacture in the first place, which makes his inclusion in a Top Secret affair unlikely and improbable.
16th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: After the Sheriff has destroyed the robot, Madison appears and Van Ryberg spots her and starts smiling at her. Considering this is his ex-girlfriend and her uncle (the Sheriff) has just died, him stood their grinning at her is about as far removed a reaction as there is possible to get. One might at least expect some heart warming dialogue, an embrace, a mention of the Sheriff, but no, through the several shots of the camera flicking between him and her, he just keeps on grinning.
15th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: Van Ryberg is supposed to have been a Specialist in the Army. Part of Army training no matter what country that Army is from has basic first aid training, a Specialist would have more than basic level first aid training. Its therefore unlikely he'd make the mistake of pulling out the piece of shrapnel from the Doctors leg, considering it could cause more damage and problems than just leaving it where it is.
15th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Revealing mistake: Just after the girl gets killed by the flying robot between the two yellow digger machines, the rest of the group start firing at the robot. If you watch the robot, the same animation of the robot is repeated over and over again every time the camera cuts back to it.
15th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the Sheriff and the two people in the police car get rescued in another black SUV, the license plate changes from when they are picked up to when the stop at the base.
15th Sep 2010
Far Cry (2008)
Audio problem: At the start of the movie, the soldiers switch on the lights on the vehicles. Each light has a sound effect to a massive spot light activating, when in reality they are just headlights and wouldn't make any kind of sound.
7th Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Revealing mistake: When the Sheriff is in pursuit of the black SUV, there is a particular shot of the Sheriff's car doing a wide right turn and you can see that it's a young bald stunt driver, completely unlike the older, full head of hair Bruce Boxleitner.

Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Plot hole: Van Ryberg is told that the terra forming plant had C4 laid everywhere, and that it just needed someone to go in there and set it off. Firstly, what Van Ryberg finds is dynamite, not C4, and he also tells Madison and the Doctor that they only have ten seconds to get out. If the timer was already running, then there was no need for anyone to go into the plant to set off the explosives.
2nd Sep 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the machines start falling out the sky, Van Ryberg and Madison start running away, and if you look on the horizon as they are running, it's all flat ground. However, in the next shot of the machine rising out of the ground, there is now a massive hill in the background that wasn't there in the previous shot.
24th Aug 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Other mistake: Since the Doctor got her leg injury, every time you see her walk, she does so with great difficulty, yet after they blow up the terraforming plant, she's running away with no problems at all.
24th Aug 2010
Transmorphers: Fall of Man (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the black SUV transmorphs into a robot, it goes to destroy the police car. The CGI interpretation of the police car looks absolutely nothing like the real car, the front grille for instance being completely oversized, and the wheels change totally.

6th Aug 2010

Revealing mistake: When Magoo is skiing downhill, and the camera points directly at him whilst skiing, if you look to either side of his skis, you can see the tyre tracks of the vehicle towing him.
2nd Aug 2010
Face/Off (1997)
Continuity mistake: Castor Troy puts three bullet holes in the windscreen of the helicopter Sean Archer is in at the start of the movie. When Archer moves toward the hangar to shoot Castor, you can see in the background that there are now no holes.

19th Jun 2010
Dumbo (1941)
Revealing mistake: When the elephants are making fun of Dumbo in the train caboose, Dumbo's mother pulls a pin which causes the stall door above the other elephants to fall. When the door bounces back up, you can see that the animators forgot to draw the elephants' heads and trunks and only their bodies are visible.
19th Jun 2010
Bruno (2009)
Other mistake: Throughout the movie, the subtitles for Bruno and Lutz translate everything from German to English. When Lutz carries Bruno on his back from the restaurant, he says "Herr Bruno", and the subtitle should say "Mr.Bruno" but says "Herr Bruno" still.

Continuity mistake: When The Losers are escaping in the School bus, as it crests the hill and comes down the slope to escape the firestorm, the camera shot from the front shows the bus dropping nose first, but the next camera shot from the side now shows it dropping back end first.
13th Jun 2010
The Losers (2010)
Other mistake: During the heist of the armoured car, The Losers detonate the explosive device on one of the black SUV's and it then blows up and rises up vertically. The problem with this is the explosive device was attached to the side of the SUV, and it really should have blown it sideways and up, not just vertical.
11th May 2010
A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Continuity mistake: When Nancy is in the drugstore and she keeps slipping in and out of sleep, Freddy is walking toward the camera running a finger blade on a pipe, and you can see there is a raised pipe joint just before the camera cuts to a rear view of Freddy, and the pipe joint that his finger blade was going to scrape has now gone. (01:06:15)
7th May 2010
Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)
Factual error: The amount of money that leaves the cargo container when Riggs and Murtaugh use the car as a battering ram is nowhere near what was inside considering there were at least 4 or so pallets in front of the car. The car didn't have anywhere near the momentum to drive 'through' the pallets and leave them inside.
2nd May 2010
Law Abiding Citizen (2009)
Plot hole: When Clyde leaves the building that he has planted the bomb to kill the Mayor and the rest of her party, he goes to his van, watches a TV feed of the meeting, then puts the van into gear and moves off. Only problem is, he didn't actually switch on the ignition, and no, Clyde didn't leave the van left switched on either, he's meticulously planned the whole operation, and isn't likely to chance his one means of escape by allowing it to be so easily stolen, and any suggestion that he'd be able to leave the van running with 'conspicuous police security' is a nonsense, as that would draw more attention to the van, something Clyde SPECIFICALLY would not want.
2nd May 2010
Demolition Man (1993)
Other mistake: The Verbal Morality Code seems to be applied in an almost haphazard fashion. Several times throughout the movie, both Spartan and Phoenix swear, and do so near an area where they should be vocally reminded of breaking the code, in fact have been previously reminded, and in spite of them not moving from that location are not warned again in the face of repeated swearing.

8th Apr 2010
2012 (2009)
Factual error: Several scenes in the movie show the tidal waves and tsunamis sweeping people and objects away, which is utter fantasy. The air pressure wave that is in front of the tidal waves and tsunamis would blow people and objects away long before the water did.
8th Apr 2010
The Bounty Hunter (2010)
Continuity mistake: When Milo and Bobby are eating and drinking in the diner, the level of the Coke in Bobby's bottle, and the level of the beer in Milo's glass differs from shot to shot.

5th Apr 2010
2012 (2009)

5th Apr 2010
2012 (2009)
Factual error: Air Force One is still complete when it strikes Ark 4 which is simply not possible. The aircraft would have been obliterated by the air pressure wave and the resulting huge tidal wave that hit it, so that only debris would have hit the Ark, certainly not the complete intact aircraft we saw. (02:12:15)
18th Mar 2010
Wild Hogs (2007)
Continuity mistake: When the biker bar blows up, you get to see an orange blossom explosion behind Woody as he rides away, which then dissipates into a black cloud. Camera now cuts immediately to one of the side mirrors on Woody's bike and the explosion is now orange again.
6th Mar 2010
Leap Year (2010)

6th Mar 2010
Leap Year (2010)

Continuity mistake: When Mclane is desperately trying to get his fallen Beretta from the conveyor, he flicks the on switch to the conveyor. The terrorist then sprints down the conveyor to try and get the gun before Mclane, and you can see in the first shot of the terrorist running, that he is virtually at the gun immediately. The camera cuts to Mclane, and then back to the terrorist who is now significantly further away from the gun than he was before.
11th Feb 2010
Inspector Gadget 2 (2003)
Continuity mistake: When Gadget gets thrown through the Men's Room door, it smashes to pieces and his toilet brush attachment is replaced by a rubber glove. On the newspaper front page, it now shows the Men's Room door is no longer destroyed, and the toilet brush attachment is now on his hand instead of the rubber glove.

29th Jan 2010
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Continuity mistake: When the Saab 900 car is destroyed by the Harvester, it already has momentum and you can see whats left of the car thrown in an arc into the air. When it lands however, it simply drops vertically, which it wouldn't do, it should have fallen in a decreasing arc. (00:38:25)
28th Jan 2010
Transporter 3 (2008)
Other mistake: Franks Audi smashes through the steel barrier on the bridge. Whilst we can accept the bodywork is toughened up and is bulletproof, its a plastic front bumper, plastic grille, glass/plastic headlights, yet there isn't even a scratch on either of these items after the car is seen driving after its pulled from the river after smashing through said STEEL barrier. The barrier would be particularly strengthened to attempt to prevent such a maneuver that Frank performed.
28th Jan 2010
Transporter 3 (2008)
Continuity mistake: Franks Audi smashes through the steel barrier on the bridge to enter the water. When Inspector Tarconi comes to rescue him, the barrier is completely intact.
28th Jan 2010
Gamer (2009)
Other mistake: Assuming we buy that Kable can run the truck on Vodka with no modifications, the bottle he drank from wasn't particularly big, and the truck wouldn't have run as long as it did on the paltry amount he was able to get into the tank. By virtue of the truck moving around so violently would mean the Vodka would be sloshed around the tank and the fuel pump would be incapable of extracting it. Fuel tanks typically need a minimum amount of fuel just to ensure the fuel pump has something to run on, and that bottle isn't going to achieve that, no matter what fictional future technology you can dream up in lieu of what's onscreen.
22nd Jan 2010
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Continuity mistake: When Marcus is driving the big tow truck down the highway, he smashes into the back of a red VW Jetta with custom chrome wheels that is parked on the right side of the road. A few shots later, the same car is shown again, now on the left side of the road, and is hit again. That's fair enough, as the truck seemed to reverse direction when the first bike crashed into the bus. But seconds after the second hit, this car is again on the RIGHT side of the road, and is struck a third time (this is actually the first hit, shown now from a different angle). (00:41:05)

Continuity mistake: When the purser's safe falls through the ceiling, we get to see the safe come to a rest, and we can see the door to the safe is still perfectly in position and still closed. The next shot looking down on the safe now shows the safe with the door now fully opened.
11th Jan 2010
Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (1979)
Revealing mistake: When the purser's safe falls through the ceiling, the ceiling metal is far too thin. Bearing in mind also, that the on the other side of the ceiling metal is supposed to be the floor of the next deck up, and that too is a thin flimsy metal, that doesn't even appear that it could support any kind of weight.

14th Dec 2009
The Island (2005)
Other mistake: When Lincoln and Jordan first enter the city, just before Jordan sees a poster of herself, in the background you can see two trains high in the air, with a skyscraper behind them. If you look carefully at the shadows cast by the two trains, one of them is completely wrong. The train that goes from left to right has its shadow trailing on its left side, and the train going from right to left has its shadow trailing on its right side. Irrespective of which direction the two trains are travelling, both their shadows should be trailing from the same side, as there is only one light source, i.e. the sun.
25th Nov 2009
Cars (2006)
Continuity mistake: Before Lightning falls off the end of Mack's trailer, you can see Snot Rod and one of the other cars running alongside the trailer. But when the camera moves to show Lightning coming off the trailer, you can see alongside the trailer in the background, and the cars are now missing. Camera switches back to the front of Mack, and the cars are back alongside again.
Suggested correction: Actually, they are still there. They're just out of view.

15th Nov 2009
Monsters vs Aliens (2009)
Continuity mistake: It's shown in many scenes that the robot Gallaxar sends isn't particularly quick moving when it walks. But when it's chasing Ginormica around the city, even though Ginormica is sprinting away, it can catch her far more quickly than its speed would allow. It doesn't suddenly speed up - in the shots when the camera focuses on the robot again, you can still see it moving slowly.
15th Nov 2009
Wall-E (2008)
Continuity mistake: When the ship bursts through the field of satellites, you can see that none of them attached to the ship or WALL-E, but in the next shot, there are now 5 or 6 satellites attached to WALL-E and the ship. (00:32:10)

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Continuity mistake: The crew wrote 'HMS Bounty' in large red letters on the side of the Klingon Bird of Prey, but in all subsequent flying shots, the large red writing is never seen again. It's not burned off as you only get heat entering the atmosphere if the speed is sufficient, and it's not wind resistance either, because the lettering is missing just after they take off.
27th Sep 2009

4th Sep 2009
Universal Soldier (1992)
Deliberate mistake: At the start of the movie when the articulated truck is leaving the aircraft, you never see the attached trailer until the truck is completely flat on the runway. This is because of the steepness of the loading ramp, the trailer would ground and get stuck on the ramp.
4th Sep 2009

Factual error: When Bruce is chasing Marlin and Dory inside the submarine, the chase goes through a few 90 degree turns, but each turn that leads them to chase width-ways inside the submarine is far longer than the actual dimensions of the submarine would allow.

14th Aug 2009
Smokey and the Bandit II (1980)
Continuity mistake: When Justice is chasing Bandit after the desert crash scenes, he says about how Bandit has picked a route with only one way out, and behind him you can see a load of trucks. The next camera shot then shows Justice driving away from the camera with Police cars following, then the next shot then goes back to an interior shot of Justice and there is now nothing behind him.
14th Aug 2009
Hard Target (1993)
Other mistake: Van Cleef and Boudreaux reload their guns, and then have the mother of all firefights, culminating with Boudreaux emptying both guns into Van Cleef. They only had two guns each and the amount of shots they fired apiece was way in-excess of what they reloaded.
14th Aug 2009

Other mistake: When Justices car gets crushed as is almost triangular shaped, and driving down the road, it shows a shot of Justice cleaning off some dirt from the dashboard. If you look at the hood/bonnet where all the crease marks are from the crash, you can see quite a bit of rust where the paint has flaked off. Considering the damage is only supposed to have just happened, there should be clean metal not rust.

Hard Target (1993)
Revealing mistake: The helicopter that chases down Boudreaux fires a shot at his horse that causes an explosion that makes it fall, then another shot is fired, but the resulting explosion is exactly the same as the previous one, except the footage is taken from a different angle.
8th Aug 2009
Lazytown (2004)
Sportacus on the Move! - S2-E4
Continuity mistake: When Sportacus gets out of bed, his duvet cover is on the floor at the end of his bed, but when he goes to make his bed moments later, the duvet cover is now on the bed.
Audio problem: When Irina and Mutt are sword fighting in the jungle, the blade strikes all make echoing sounds.
2nd Aug 2009
Robocop 3 (1993)
Factual error: When Robocop first flies into the the battle at the end of the movie, the whine from his jetpack causes the glass in some windows to blow outwards. Considering the sound waves are hitting the glass from the outside of the windows, they should be blown inwards not outwards.
18th Jul 2009
Star Trek (2009)
Continuity mistake: When Kirk meets Uhura in the bar, there is an alien nursing his beer between them, and he never takes a sip, yet in one of the following shots, the beer is now significantly lower in the glass. The alien is in shot between Uhura and Kirk for the majority of the scene, and in the intervening shots, there is not enough time for him to have taken a sip of his beer. (00:20:15)
18th Jul 2009
The Hangover (2009)
Continuity mistake: After the China man escapes from the boot of the Mercedes, Alan is resting against the wheel, and in the close up shots of the door it has dirt streaks on it, but when Stuart goes to talk to Alan, the dirt streaks come and go.
15th Jul 2009
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008)
Other mistake: When one of the agents is ambushed by the Tooth Fairies he is reduced to a skeleton, with his teeth still visible. However, it was earlier stated that Tooth Fairies start by eating the teeth, then finish off the rest of a body.
2nd Jul 2009
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
Factual error: Mikaela hotwires the silver Saturn Astra at the attack at the university. Firstly, she doesn't break the physical steering lock, and secondly, this is impossible to hotwire. It requires a signal from a chip in the ignition key that transmits the signal to the ECU to enable the car to start.
27th Jun 2009
Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)
Other mistake: The winch attached to the front of the black pickup isn't particularly big, and its size governs how long the cable can be. From a side shot of the winch cable stretching from the pickup to the boat, there's no way the cable being shown comes from the winch on that truck: it's too long, it would never spool back onto the winch.
22nd Jun 2009
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Continuity mistake: When the Terminator smashes the driver's window of the blue station wagon, there is a large section of glass at the top of the door that is stuck in the runner of the door. In the next shot as the Terminator is closing the door, this same section of glass is now missing. Not enough time has passed in the shots for it to disappear and there's no sound of it dropping. (01:13:25)
22nd Jun 2009
Minority Report (2002)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the movie, two wooden balls are created to name the next victim and killer. After the balls are created, they are dull and unpolished, but their travel through the tubes shows them to now be highly polished and shiny. (00:01:55)
Suggested correction: After being created they are encased before going down the tube and unseen. They could have easily been polished during this time before then rolling down the tube.
20th Jun 2009
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Other mistake: When Marcus, Kyle and Star are at the petrol station, a flying HK and the giant Harvester robot are able to appear just outside without making any kind of sound. In every other scene of the Harvester and the HKs however, they both make an incredible amount of noise. (00:37:40)
16th Jun 2009
The Glimmer Man (1996)
Continuity mistake: When the two Russian mafia guys pretending to be Internal Affairs come to take Seagal away from his home, the windscreen wipers are vertical when they leave the car. On returning to the car, the wipers are now in the normal parked position.
15th Jun 2009
Terminator Salvation (2009)
Continuity mistake: John Connor, whilst battling the T-800, fires a shot into a wall to create an opening. Star jumps through the hole to the left, Kyle jumps to the right, and John jumps through the centre, yet in the next shot Kyle has landed in the centre and John has landed on the right. (01:27:35)
14th Jun 2009
The A-Team (1983)
Factual error: The A-Team go to South Africa to help a diamond mine, and every single vehicle is left-hand drive. South Africa use right-hand drive cars.
3rd Jun 2009
Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Factual error: The truck that the T-1000 uses to try and run down John in the overspill, is a Freightliner FLA 9664, which uses a diesel engine - it does not use petrol. Diesel is much harder to combust in comparison to petrol/gasoline, and the spark from the battery cables on the spilt diesel would absolutely never ignite under those circumstances. (00:37:55)
31st May 2009
Predator 2 (1990)
Revealing mistake: The police car that is shot at and flips over doesn't have an engine. (00:02:50)
26th May 2009
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Trivia: On the original VHS and Paramount Widescreen DVD releases, the synopsis on the covers says this, "A thrilling, action packed mission for the Starship Enterprise". As anyone who knows their Star Trek, this was the one movie that didn't feature the Enterprise in any capacity except as a flashback at the start and a brief reprisal at the end, the Klingon Bird of Prey was the ship they had the adventure in.
26th May 2009
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Other mistake: During the inquiry at the start of the movie, the Klingon Ambassador is going over the footage of the destruction of the Enterprise from all the exterior views. This is very nice, but how would they have access to all of these different viewpoints of the destruction? Bearing in mind no-one was there to film it. It couldn't have been the Klingon Bird of Prey that filmed it, because in most of the destruction scenes, the Bird of Prey would have been no-where near or in a position to film it, and was of course captured and still being commanded by Kirk during the course of the inquiry. (00:04:10)
Suggested correction: Most of the visuals we see on view screens in Star Trek are created from sensors rather than cameras, so what we see doesn't necessarily have to be from the visual perspective of the ship taking it. Though yes, it is quite an amusing coincidence that it all looks exactly like they're watching a copy of Star Trek III on home video.
Suggested correction: It's possible the Grissom and/or the Bird of Prey launched drones into orbit to aid in the scanning of the planet or for communications or sensor relays, and this is where the footage could have come from. This isn't unlike the beginning of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, in which crewmembers of the space station mentioned such drones as the reason images of the aftermath of the V'ger destruction were able to be seen despite no ships being left.
25th May 2009
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)
Continuity mistake: When David and Saavik approach Spock's tube on Genesis, you can see quite a bit of dirt covering the words' red lettering, but when it does another shot of the lettering, it is noticeably cleaner. (00:30:25)
25th May 2009
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)
Revealing mistake: When the whales first swim past the now submerged Klingon Bird of Prey, if you look to the right where the water is supposed to meet the distant horizon, you can see an exposed edge to the 'horizon' as the water moves up and down. This is the edge of the pool they are in, and the exposed edge is the bottom of the painting of the sky behind them. (01:46:30)
17th May 2009
Fanboys (2009)
Continuity mistake: The bartender takes a large swig of water from the glass before handing it to Bottler, but in the next shot the glass is practically full to the brim.
9th May 2009
Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)
9th May 2009
Star Trek (2009)
Trivia: When Uhura is ordering drinks at the bar, the bartender prompts her with a suggestion of a Slusho drink. Slusho was part of the viral campaign for Cloverfield, another JJ Abrams movie. (00:20:20)
30th Apr 2009

Trivia: The Moto-Terminator bikes are built on the Ducati Hypermotard 1100. (00:40:50)
29th Apr 2009
Ashes to Ashes (2008)
Episode #2.2 - S2-E2
Factual error: When Alex leaves the police station at the start of the episode, there is a police liveried Vauxhall Cavalier MK2 with a cross hatched front grille. The episode is set in 1982, and this type of grille didn't appear until the Cavalier was facelifted in 1986.
18th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Continuity mistake: When Dom slams his black Buick Grand National into the side of the Petroleum tanker to get the coupling to break, the entire side of the car is stoved in, and the rear axle is seriously bent as evidenced by the angle of the back wheel. All subsequent shots, however, show the wheel intact and the damage to the side as slight denting.
16th Apr 2009
Under Siege 2 (1995)
Revealing mistake: The actor who plays Tom Breaker is quite easily the worst impersonator of a smoker. Clearly not at ease with holding a cigarette, he also doesn't ever appear to inhale the cigarette smoke either.
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Continuity mistake: During the start of the chase in the grey Subaru Impreza, its sidelights vary on and off.
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Factual error: During the first tunnel sequence, all the cars travel very far into the mountains, turn lots of corners, yet not only is Gisele still able to speak to them over the radios, their GPS still works. GPS signals invariably need a clear 'sight' of the sky and can penetrate light cover, but most certainly not that depth and cover. (00:58:05)
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Continuity mistake: During the final chase just before everyone goes into the tunnels, Dom's Charger gets a glancing hit on its back right-hand corner, and you can see the panel damage, but later the damage disappears.
16th Apr 2009
Under Siege 2 (1995)
Audio problem: When Ryback is making his bomb, he puts a glass inside a sweater and wraps it up and then smashes it. The sound of the breaking glass isn't muffled as you would expect, it sounds like glass breaking and spreading out over a surface.
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Continuity mistake: Dom smashes his Charger into the side of the silver Chevrolet 4x4 and damages the front of the car, yet in all following shots, the damage has gone.
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Visible crew/equipment: When Brian at the end says "don't make me laugh", if you look at the chrome bumper of the green Torino he's leaning on, you can see a member of the crew moving. It's not Toretto as he's on the other side of Brian, and it's not any of the Police as evidenced by the following shot that still shows them to be far away.
16th Apr 2009
Fast & Furious (2009)
Factual error: During the final chase across the desert, Dom fires at several cars, shooting out their tyres, several of those cars then stop dead and the back ends of the those cars lift up and flip over. Those cars might lose control, but it wouldn't cause the back ends of the cars to defy gravity in such a way unless they actually hit something, which they never do.
15th Apr 2009
Out for a Kill (2003)
Factual error: When the Chinese enter the Pink nightclub at the start and shoot everyone, they fire their weapons for a constant minute. Not one of them reloads their weapon once.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Continuity mistake: When the grey Porsche 911 is chasing Steve and Sharon, it has a shot showing it's nearly on them, but in the next shot the car is now significantly further away from them.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Plot hole: It is beyond improbable that Red Skull's daughter would fly a helicopter directly to Northern Canada knowing that's exactly where Captain America would be, seeing as no-one knew what direction he headed from Alaska or that he even left Alaska.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Continuity mistake: When Captain America is attached to the rocket, his shield is behind him, but when he wakes up after leaving the iceblock, the shield is already attached to his arm.
13th Apr 2009
Black Dawn (2005)
Revealing mistake: Quite obviously Steven Seagal is not jumping out of the warehouse window himself, it's blatantly a stuntman.
13th Apr 2009
Black Dawn (2005)
Continuity mistake: When the yellow Range Rover is blown up during the bank car heist, it burns out quite quickly, there's even a shot to show most of the interior has burnt away, yet later on, a TV Report shows the Range Rover burning as if it had just been set on fire - there was no TV crew or camera near the scene.
13th Apr 2009
Black Dawn (2005)
Factual error: During the bank car heist at the start of the movie, the guard who leaves the drivers seat and fires with a rifle fires way more shots than is feasible without reloading at any point.
13th Apr 2009
Black Dawn (2005)
Plot hole: When the brakes fail on the truck, Cold insists that he and the woman have to jump from the truck, simply switching off the engine would have been effective seeing as the truck was a long way from crashing into the tanker, and plenty of room either side of it to avoid it.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Continuity mistake: Captain America scales the walls of Red Skull's lair and enters through a window, yet when the President decides to jump off the roof, Captain America is now back outside the window.

Continuity mistake: When Captain America removes his cowl at the end, his hair is a mess, but when he walks over to Sharon his hair is immaculately styled.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Other mistake: When the President escapes from his cell, he immediately calls down to Sharon. Not only does he not know Sharon, no-one has given him any indication she's even down there, and she's also not said anything to raise awareness of her being there, or her name.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Plot hole: When the President calls his friend Sam at the newspaper, Sam goes on to mention about Captain America possibly meeting Red Skull. It was a Top Secret mission that failed, considering Sam doesn't even know that he's called Captain America, he's even less likely to know he met Red Skull.
13th Apr 2009
Captain America (1990)
Continuity mistake: When Steve and Sharon crash into the sea with the bike, the bag with his shield is not around his neck as he enters the sea, but is there as they surface.

25th Mar 2009
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties (2006)
Factual error: The two uniformed police officers who take Dargis away at the end have haircuts that touch their collars. Plain clothed officers are allowed to be less stringent about their appearance, uniformed officers are most certainly not, and long hair like that simply doesn't happen.

Robocop 3 (1993)
Plot hole: The opaque red lined map that Otomo retrieves from his first fight is ridiculous. Why would people who know where the hidden base is be carrying around a map on them (which shows a route so basic that they'd have to be brain-dead not to be able to remember it anyway) just so that conveniently one of their enemies can get it?
10th Jan 2009

It was commissioned from Drew Struzan, the legendary artist behind movie posters like Star Wars, by Spielberg as a bit of ribbing on Arnold and a reference to the fake movie Hamlet, part of Arnold's movie library in The Last Action Hero.
31st Dec 2008
Deep Impact (1998)
Factual error: Many scenes showing the tidal wave approaching land and buildings is factually inaccurate. Its already stated that the tidal wave will be moving faster than the speed of sound, and reach a height of over 1000 ft by the time it hits land. That being the case, there would be a massive pressure wave of air in front of the tidal wave, that would clear a path long before the tidal wave hits. Buildings would start to topple and crumble before the water struck, and certainly people would not be able to stand in the path of the tidal wave, because the air pressure would blow them away.
29th Dec 2008
Jurassic Park (1993)
Other mistake: When Timmy is climbing down the electric perimeter fence, Dr.Grant tells him to jump so he will catch him, it then cuts to another shot where Grant counts down and he isn't remotely anywhere near the fence. He couldn't possibly catch Timmy.

24th Dec 2008

In all of the following shots however, none of the people that were walking toward him can now be seen behind him as they should be. It's not a montage either, these scenes are to be taken that they are occurring in real time.

9th Dec 2008
The Last Boy Scout (1991)
Continuity mistake: The whole car lands in the swimming pool, with the back end stuck up in the air and the front end down because of the weight of the engine. Battle Beyond the Stars (1980)
Trivia: The main protagonists in the movie are called the Akira. This is a homage to Akira Kurosawa who did "Seven Samurai", of which "Magnificent Seven" and this movie are based on.
22nd Nov 2008
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
Continuity mistake: On the firing range when John Connor fixes the stoppage on the rifle, his shooting glasses are on his head, when he hands the rifle back, the glasses are now over his eyes, and in the next shot they are on his head again. Not enough time has occurred between shots for this to happen.
19th Nov 2008
K-9 (1989)
Continuity mistake: When the Lyman realises that Dooley's bomb detonator is a fake, he starts running away. He must be some sprinter, because in the first shot he's at the end of the semi trailer, and in the next shot he's a good 400m away. He simply could never have gotten that far away in a split second. (01:27:30)
19th Nov 2008
K-9 (1989)
Continuity mistake: During the car chase between the Mustang and the Mercedes, the cream on Jerry Lee's face changes throughout. (00:56:25)
19th Nov 2008
K-9 (1989)
Audio problem: When Dooley is in the car on stakeout, he is playing on a Nintendo Game & Watch. They were only capable of bleeps and buzzing noises, yet this one has a sampled laugh, which was never possible on these handheld games. (00:02:20 - 00:10:55)
4th Nov 2008
Iron Man (2008)
Audio problem: After Stark escapes, he is walking in the desert, and crests the brow of a sand dune. Then, helicopters burst into view over him and you hear them for the first time. Stark was on the brow of the dune and should have heard them long before.
4th Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: Travis shoots Harry in the leg, and Harry is slumped against the wall next to the doorway. When Payne sets off the bomb, Harry is now no longer near the door, and is halfway down the corridor. Not enough time had passed between shots for this to have occurred. (00:22:20)
Suggested correction: Harry drops to floor by door 1 on the right-hand side of the corridor facing the parking lot. We then get a 2-3 second shot of Jack shrugging and shouting "Freeze" at Howard. Howard is then seen staring at Jack in disbelief at the thought of him shooting a hostage. We then see Howard (still in the initial 3 seconds) walk into the parking lot and Jack run towards the door. As Howard is going through the door the shot changes to Jack and in this shot you can see Harry shuffling down the corridor.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: The bus hits many cars in the movie, yet there is virtually no damage sustained by the bus throughout.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Plot hole: When they get Sam the driver off the bus and onto the trailer, it's stressed how important it is to get him to hospital, but in all subsequent scenes, the trailer never leaves the side of the bus and no-one takes Sam off.
Suggested correction: It is unlikely, but they could have transferred him a second time to another vehicle off-screen.
It could've happened during the scene where the older scared woman was trying to leave the bus, and the cops told her to "grab my hand." They KNOW the hostages leaving the bus risks the bomb going off, and they still tried to get that lady off. It's literally these cops' first day on the job.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: Traven drives at high speed down the hard shoulder of the freeway to get to the bus to avoid the big traffic jam. When Traven cannot get on the bus, the black Jaguar XJS is now close at hand, which would have been impossible - it was way back in the traffic and couldn't have got to him that quickly.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Other mistake: As Traven is about to slide under the bus on the small trolley, you can see his feet are only just going to get under the bus. Cut to a camera shot from the side, and now the front of the bus is significantly higher.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: In a camera shot from behind the bus, it shows Traven moving the Jaguar in front of the bus. In the next camera shot from the front, it shows Traven moving the Jaguar again in front of the bus. He'd already completed the move in the previous shot.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Revealing mistake: As the bus makes the impossible right turn at high speed, you can see the outrigger wheels underneath to stop the bus going over.
2nd Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Revealing mistake: When Traven is walking back to his car before the first bus explodes, as the bus drives past him, you can see from the shadow it casts that the bus isn't driving straight on. It turns the corner behind his car. Obviously a prop bus is further down the street and that is the one that blows up in its place.
1st Nov 2008
Speed (1994)
Continuity mistake: The bus hits a car and wrecks the driver's side indicator. Later on however, the indicator is fixed.

Taken (2008)
Continuity mistake: When Bryan chases the spotter, all of the cars that had to stop are all positioned at different angles. After the spotter dies and Bryan walks back along the bridge, one of the shots shows all of the cars now parked in a perfectly straight line.
1st Nov 2008
Taken (2008)
Continuity mistake: When the spotter is organising with the girls to go to the party outside their apartment, behind him you can see a grey Peugeot 806 people carrier with nothing behind it. In the shot as he walks away, a dark coloured car has now appeared behind the Peugeot - not enough time had passed for that to happen.
1st Nov 2008
Taken (2008)
Continuity mistake: When the spotter starts singing "California Girls" to Kim and Amanda, Kim puts her hand to her mouth, in the next shot from behind, her hand has gone from her mouth.
27th Oct 2008
Live and Let Die (1973)
Plot hole: Bond steals the ancient double decker bus, not noted for any kind of speed, and he also doesn't get much of a head start against the police, yet in later shots he's quite a distance ahead of them. Skilled driver or not, it's a bus.
27th Oct 2008
Live and Let Die (1973)
Factual error: When the camera does a close up shot of Bond in the sky in the Microlight, the fabric is far too loose for it to actually be in the sky. The fabric would be taut as the air flows over it.
27th Oct 2008
Live and Let Die (1973)
Continuity mistake: After Bond has finished ripping the wings off the Cessna and parks up, he speaks to the old female pilot, and in doing so, the camera shows that the wings behind her head are still intact, when they were already ripped off at this point.
27th Oct 2008
Live and Let Die (1973)
Other mistake: When Tee Hee strikes Bond to supposedly knock him out, he makes contact with Bond's right shoulder blade. He doesn't strike anywhere near the neck/head region, which is where you would hit if you were trying to knock someone unconscious.
26th Oct 2008
Back to the Future (1985)
Trivia: The sound effect used for the toy time machine car as it leaps off the table and runs across the garage floor is the same as the sound of the Time Machine as it propels itself through time in the 1960's version of The Time Machine. (01:10:20)
25th Oct 2008
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)

22nd Oct 2008
The Day After Tomorrow (2004)
Factual error: At the start, Jack jumps the break in the ice to go and pick up some ice core tubes. He lifts them way too easily, considering they are supposed to have ice cores in them.
19th Oct 2008

Robocop 3 (1993)
Plot hole: When Bertha and the gang enter the Police Ordnance depot, they find an ED-209 waiting for them. It threatens to shoot them, but instead of running, they just stand there. They didn't know the girl was some kind of computer nerd that could reprogram ED-209, but for nearly 20 seconds, they just stand there.
2nd Oct 2008
Robocop 3 (1993)
Other mistake: The explosion at the gates to the Police Ordnance depot is utterly ridiculous. They blow up steel gates with dynamite, but the resulting explosion is a fuel type flame. It's metal they are blowing up, not a combustible material.
2nd Oct 2008
Airplane (1980)
Trivia: Some of the characters names like Steve McCroskey and Rex Cramer were derived from characters in ZAZ's The Kentucky Fried Movie.
2nd Oct 2008
Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)
Continuity mistake: During the 'High Adventure' skit, the Frenchman leans over and kisses the interviewer on the right side of his face, in the next shot however it shows him kissing him on the nose and not enough time had elapsed between shots for this to have happened.
2nd Oct 2008
Kentucky Fried Movie (1977)

13th Sep 2008
DOA: Dead or Alive (2006)
Continuity mistake: When Kasumi is holding her sword at the throat of the purple haired girl at the start, her sword changes between shots. In the first shot, the blade is facing up. In the next, it is now flat. Not enough time has passed in between shots for this to have occurred. (00:03:15)
13th Sep 2008
DOA: Dead or Alive (2006)
Continuity mistake: When Tina Armstrong kicks the two pirates off the yacht, she then adopts a classic fighting stance for the pirate leader. In the first shot she's leading with her left arm; in the next shot she's leading with her right arm. Not enough time has elapsed for this to occur. (00:06:25)
12th Sep 2008
RocknRolla (2008)
Continuity mistake: The car they pour petrol/gasoline over in the closeup shot is a 2007 Chrysler 300C Hemi with the big square-shaped grille. In the long shot where the car blows up, it is not the same car; the grille has changed shape and is more akin to an old Mercedes.
Suggested correction: The grille hasn't changed shape, it looks different because of the explosion damage.
11th Sep 2008
RocknRolla (2008)
Trivia: Make sure you hang around during the end credits for a little something extra.
9th Sep 2008
Volcano (1997)
Revealing mistake: When the fireman goes to enter the fire truck that is on its side to rescue his friend, for whatever reason, the filmmakers sped up the film during his entry into the truck, it looks really out of place. (00:40:30)
6th Sep 2008
Disaster Movie (2008)
Continuity mistake: After the Enchanted Princess reloads her gun, she starts shooting Speed Racer on the floor and the gun is held properly. In the next shot, she now has the gun tilted over to the side, and not enough time has passed for her to have achieved this. (00:57:10)

Other mistake: In the subtitles, when the Russians are locking onto the US Army helicopters, "Attack" is incorrectly spelt "Atack".
28th Aug 2008
Ghosts of Mars (2001)
Plot hole: When the Police first enter Shining Canyon, they make a point of mentioning why they don't have to wear a full breathing mask, because of the goggles they wear. (!) Later on however, several people who are not infected are not wearing the goggles, so they shouldn't be able to breathe.
28th Aug 2008
The Kingdom (2007)
Trivia: Throughout the movie, they refer to the terrorist bomb-maker by the name of Abu Hamza. 13th Aug 2008
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)
Continuity mistake: When the group enters Shangri La, Alex runs down toward Zi Juan and the fountain. Before he gets there, we get to see wide shots from behind him of the ground to his left which is rocky with no path, and we also see that no-one is following, yet in the next shot from the front, Zi Juan's daughter appears instantly to block her mothers sword swing. There was simply not enough time between shots for her to accomplish this, and even if it were possible, her mother would have seen her approaching.
13th Aug 2008
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)
Plot hole: Zi Juan tells the rest of the group when they are in Shangri La that she will take the first watch at the entrance and guard against the emperor getting in. A few shots later, she then decides to have a conversation with her daughter nowhere near the entrance, and now with no-one guarding, means he gets in unchallenged.
Suggested correction: A character briefly leaving their watch to deliver important information as Zi Juan was doing isn't a mistake, and it's definitely not a plot hole, since it in no way contradicts the movie's logic or creates a hole in the narrative. At best, Zi Juan was being a little foolish leaving her watch, but a character being a little foolish isn't a "movie mistake." After all, people make foolish choices all the time in real life. Plus, as demonstrated by the movie, it doesn't really matter anyways - the Emperor's powers are back, so she wouldn't have been able to stop him even if she had kept watch.
