Continuity mistake: In the subtitles for foreign speaking characters, they can't make up their mind for the spelling of the main bomber: it appears as 'Ducsan' and 'Dusan'.

Continuity mistake: When the helicopters return to base after capturing the warheads, it does a shot showing both of the helicopters coming from either side of the shot and landing. The next shot from the hangar however, shows one of the helicopters landing again.

Plot hole: When the Police first enter Shining Canyon, they make a point of mentioning why they don't have to wear a full breathing mask, because of the goggles they wear. (!) Later on however, several people who are not infected are not wearing the goggles, so they shouldn't be able to breathe.

Trivia: Throughout the movie, they refer to the terrorist bomb-maker by the name of Abu Hamza. Although this movie is a work of fiction, there is a convicted Muslim Imam preacher in the UK called Abu Hamza, who is being sought by the USA for extradition on terrorist charges, for bombing people in Jordan.

Revealing mistake: During the chase with the bus with Harris and Procter on board, they take a detour by smashing through a fence so they don't hit a load of cars. Behind the cars, you can see the ramp to give the bus a bit of a lift through the fence.

Revealing mistake: When Maxwell drives the red Sunbeam Tiger out of CONTROL's foyer, you can see the added skid pan underneath the car to protect it as it jumps down the steps.

Continuity mistake: When we go to the dig to uncover the Emperor's tomb, it shows his head statue being dug out and it's on an angle. A couple of shots later when Alex is stood in front of it, it's noticeably leaning further over than before.

Continuity mistake: When the group enters Shangri La, Alex runs down toward Zi Juan and the fountain. Before he gets there, we get to see wide shots from behind him of the ground to his left which is rocky with no path, and we also see that no-one is following, yet in the next shot from the front, Zi Juan's daughter appears instantly to block her mothers sword swing. There was simply not enough time between shots for her to accomplish this, and even if it were possible, her mother would have seen her approaching.

Plot hole: Zi Juan tells the rest of the group when they are in Shangri La that she will take the first watch at the entrance and guard against the emperor getting in. A few shots later, she then decides to have a conversation with her daughter nowhere near the entrance, and now with no-one guarding, means he gets in unchallenged.
