Predator 2 (1990)

Corrected entry: When Harrigan and Captain Pilgrim leave the head Captain's office after being told not to impede Agent Keys' investigation, Harrigan then spots Keys and goes and roughs him up, shouting and generally making a nuisance of himself. Pilgrim was only just behind him. Harrigan's actions have caused everyone else to be quiet, so it's not as if Pilgrim doesn't know that Harrigan isn't manhandling Keys, yet he does nothing to intervene, especially in light of the meeting the pair of them just left. (00:38:30)

GalahadFairlight

Correction: This isn't a plot hole. The plot of the film isn't "broken" because of this. I'd he had intervened the plot wouldn't have been affected, probably just the outcome of that scene. It could maybe be classed as a character/other mistake.

2012 (2009)

Corrected entry: Jackson accidentally pushes Gordon's Porsche into a hole, however, in the overhead shot of the limousine leaving, there is no sign of the hole the Porsche fell into. (00:45:45)

GalahadFairlight

Correction: I thought this as well at first. But he was backing into the driveway when he hit it. The second photo was him already driving away on the road. The hole was further up the driveway.

twstr988

Corrected entry: When Cronauer and Garlick get stuck in traffic with the Army trucks, Garlick asks the assembled troops to guess who is in the Jeep with him. One of the troops shouts "Mork". Robin Williams played Mork in Mork & Mindy, but not until 1978, well after the setting of this film.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: The soldier shouts "Groucho Marx".

Corrected entry: When they jump out the window to land on the gorilla inflatable, they take a beige Ford SUV and as they drive it away, the licence plate on the rear is missing. In all subsequent shots, the licence plate reappears.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: That's simply not true. The license plate is there and perfectly readable.

Spectre (2015)

Corrected entry: The sealed off room in the L'American hotel is a fantasy. For one, a maid or the owners should spot that a room is missing from their own hotel. Secondly, we know that Mr. White visited frequently, and as recently as the events in Casino Royale as evidenced by Vesper Lynd's interrogation tape. Whilst it's conceivable he was able to secure the same room every year, that he was able to replaster and repaint the wall as well stretches belief.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: Mr. White could have bribed the hotel staff to keep the room a secret. They probably redid the wall too.

Sahara (2005)

Corrected entry: When Al and Dirk are in the back of the truck handcuffed together, Dirk gets out the gold coin from his pocket to undo the screws holding the bed down. From the coin being in one hand, the camera immediately cuts to Dirk holding the coin in the other hand.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: He gets the coin from his boot with his left hand and places it in his right hand.

Corrected entry: When Hightower approaches the window of the bad guy in the poisonous gas room, there is nothing in front of the window. He then smashes it, lifts up Sgt Lassard to get him through the window, and then you can see Hightower stepping onto something out of shot so that he can get to the window.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: Both Hightower and Lassard step up on the chair that Hightower just used to smash the window. Even though the chair isn't in the shot, you can tell Hightower positions the chair against the wall.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Corrected entry: When Riggs rolls over the front of the recovery truck, as he goes over and stops, he bounces, because there is a platform out of shot that Riggs lands on, that is removed in the later wide shots.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: The front of the tow truck has a frame-mounted winch that Riggs landed on. It is visible in frontal shots of the truck.

Cars (2006)

Corrected entry: When Snot Rod and the other Fast and Furious inspired cars are fooling around with Mack, the camera does a closeup shot of Snot Rod revving his engine, and you can see the throttle butterflies closing when he revs higher. They should be opening, not closing, with higher revs.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: If you look more closely, the butterfly valves are opening when he revs. They open from the bottom upward and outward. The orange reflection/glow just makes it hard to see.

True Lies (1994)

Corrected entry: When Harry goes into the shopping mall toilet, the two terrorists follow him in. They have no radio contact with their leader, yet minutes later the leader goes directly to the toilets. It's improbable that he'd know where Harry was. (00:32:10)

GalahadFairlight

Correction: 'Improbable' is the key word there. And actually it makes perfect sense for the leader to check the toilets. After all, he's just thinking as Arnie would [and did] think.

Corrected entry: The arrival of Cybertron orbiting so close to Earth would have massive ramifications for our planet. Bearing in mind the effects our moon has on our planet and Cybertron is considerably larger, it would cause massive tsunamis, floods and affect Earth's orbit around the sun. No explanation is given onscreen as to how the Space Bridge technology works, therefore any correction that speculatively tries to guess is against site rules.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: You're assuming Cybertron is a solid mass, like other celestial bodies in our solar system. It's not. It's shown, repeatedly, to be a framework structure, the frames themselves being more or less hollow for to allow for internal habitation and traversal. There is considerably less mass to this planet than there appears to be from a distance, therefore the gravitational effect on the Earth is nominal.

Thor (2011)

Corrected entry: Just before Thor returns to Asgard, he and Jane are talking before they kiss, and in this continuous shot they are virtually the same height. However, in the rest of the movie, Jane is significantly shorter than Thor whenever they are pictured together.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: If you look at the horizon throughout that shot, clearly visible between Thor and Jane, it's inclined at a considerable angle. The camera is simply tilted to make a more aesthetically pleasing shot of the two conversing and kissing.

Megamind (2010)

Corrected entry: When Megamind is disguised as Bernard, he tries to keep up the charade of being both Megamind and Bernard in front of Roxanne, and pretends that 'Bernard' is fighting Megamind. 'Bernard' eventually gets thrown out of the doorway that both he and Megamind were fighting in, and Roxanne has witnessed it all. Yet, when 'Bernard' is thrown out, she comforts him, and then leads them away from where she last saw Megamind. This makes no sense. She saw where Megamind went: it's not logical for her to then completely go in the opposite direction.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: Standing there in the open isn't very logical either. She's looking for somewhere she can hide to get the drop on him.

Phixius

Corrected entry: It is established at the start of the movie that the Klingon Bird of Prey is the same one that they flew to Vulcan in Star Trek III: Search for Spock. The bridge of the ship however is totally and utterly different to the one shown in the previous movie. There can be no claim to suggest they remodelled it in their time on Vulcan, because everyone still uses the controls with a degree of caution, which they wouldn't do if they modified it to suit their needs.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: There most certainly can be made a claim that they remodeled it on Vulcan. What difference does it make if they, "use the controls with a great deal of caution?" People use brand new things and things they are already familiar with a great deal of caution. And this measurement is highly subjective at best. The crew is likely a bit apprehensive because the "guts" of the ship, for lack of a better term, are still Klingon. Scotty even speaks negatively of the dilithium crystals in the ship at point.

Corrected entry: Even though all of the RAF helicopters are flying in close proximity to each other, they all freeze at different times. They should all have frozen at the same time.

GalahadFairlight

Correction: Not necessarily. The hydraulic oil and engine oil, and perhaps fuel would have been what froze, causing them to crash. All of these fluids are heated by engine heat, pressure and such. All of those can freeze at different rates depending on the operating temperatures of the respective equipment. This happens at the mine I work at. In extreme cold, the equipment has never frozen up at the same time.
