Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sentinel Prime resurrects and attacks Optimus, Optimus comforts him in English. From what I remember from the first part, the Autobots say "We've learned Earth's languages through the World Wide Web". But how come Sentinel responds to and speaks in English immediately after he's waken from NDE? He crashed before Megatron himself crashed on Earth 10,000 years ago, so there would have been no way Sentinel could have learned English anyway, since it didn't exist at that time. (00:50:00)

Earthling

Correction: Actually when the Matrix was put into his chest, he retained the wisdom of the prime including Optimus'. Therefore he too now can speak English.

Corrected entry: When Sam and Carly are trying to get into the the secret Autobot base, Carly has a white skirt on, but later when she is talking to the CIA woman in her office, Carly is wearing a grey jersey over the skirt.

JoshJ91099

Correction: Carly is wearing jeans the whole time, not a skirt. She has the same jeans on in the car, the base, and the office. Additionally, she is wearing the same white shirt and jacket in all scenes and is never seen wearing a grey jersey.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: When Sam is telling Bumblebee about how Mearing called him he is 'just a messenger", he gets a jug of milk out of the fridge which is practically full. After Wheelie says "The disrespect on this rock is criminal" the jug is suddenly only barely full. It is not missing the amounts which you can pour in a glass or drink in that time.

Friso94

Correction: There is nothing indicating the jug is practically full. In fact you can see when he pulls it out, it's only about half full. He does tilt the jug quite a bit that causes the milk to splash up top, but there's no mistake.

Bishop73

Corrected entry: During the time when Ironhide and Sideswipe battle the dreads(the black aliens) the dreads throw a club into Ironhide's shoulder blade. After the battle Ironhide is seen without the club or with no sign of injury.

Correction: The device is not a club. It is, in fact, a bigger and more powerful boom-stick. Ironhide pulls Crankcase's boom-stick out of his shoulder and thrusts it into Crowbar's head. Then Ironhide grips it again and flips Crowbar with it on a red car, then kicks him into a building. Here the boom-stick explodes, presumably obliterating Crowbar's body.

Corrected entry: When Optimus tells everyone about the Ark, at one point, we get a close up of Ironhide. This shows his right eye is badly damaged, in such a way that it's shut. But when we get to the Mexican standoff, both of his eyes are wide open. And when he says "class dismissed", it's shut again. (00:28:10 - 01:09:05)

Friso94

Correction: Ironhide's right eye is smaller than his left eye. This has been consistent in all 3 Transformers movies. It's more noticeable on close-ups, but it's always been like that.

envisaged0ne

Corrected entry: In the battle after Sam rescues Carly, she touches multiple dirty spots, yet she never gets a single dirt spot on her white shirt.

eructo666

Correction: Yes she does, this is easiest to spot in the shot where Sam and Carly are reunited after the fighting.

Friso94

Corrected entry: Optimus Prime says that the spacebridge would have won the Autobots the war. If so, wouldn't make more sense if they would keep it on Cybertron and use it, instead of risking it all by trying to fly it out with The Ark and bring it back later on anyway?

Friso94

Correction: We do not know what they were going to do with the space-bridge to win the war. Why couldn't the Autobots use it elsewhere (another planet for example) in an unknown manner to defeat the Decepticons?

XIII

Corrected entry: During the Chicago war, right before Optimus loses his trailer, an overhead shot of the Autobots driving reveals a small camera cart following them.

Brad

Correction: There is nothing following Optimus, Except for the Driller. You may have confused it with the car Optimus knocks out of the way to escape from the Driller.

Friso94

Corrected entry: When Sam, Carly and the mercenary team jump through the windows of the falling skyscraper, you can see in one shot that they break 3 windows as they jump out. A later shot of the building shows no broken windows on the path taken by the team.

Correction: Look at the four windows on the highest level of the building: they are broken.

Friso94

Corrected entry: When showing Apollo-11 launch in the beginning of the film the NASA maintenance tower can be seen behind the people. Although it is 1969 in the movie, we can see the new NASA logo on the tower.

Correction: In 1969, the NASA logo would have been as shown, the nasa "meatball", which is correct in the movie.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Optimus Prime arrives at the NEST hanger moments after Sentinel Prime fled, the wide angle shot shows Optimus in truck form driving in, and in the background Sentinel in fire truck form is following. However the subsequent shots have Optimus alone again.

Correction: That isn't Sentinel driving behind Optimus. It's a regular fire truck responding to the scene. It would make no sense for Sentinel to be behind Optimus, following him in, when he just grabbed the pillars and fled.

Corrected entry: In the final scenes when Sentinel is fighting with some of the Autobots, you can see his sword and his shield knocked out of his hands, so he resorts to his gun, but when he's is shooting around, a solider with rocket launcher floors him. He then instantly crawls away on all fours and transforms, then when Optimus tackles him he has his sword and shield again almost instantly! How could Sentinel have grabbed his sword and shield in the same amount of time as him falling to the ground? And then have it already in hand in his final battle with Optimus.

starscreamf15

Correction: Watch the scene more carefully. 1st, the sword & shield aren't knocked out of his hands. He puts them down and switches to his gun. Then, when Sentinel is about to transform & drive away, he grabs his sword with his right hand, and the shield with his left.

envisaged0ne

Corrected entry: The American flag at the Apollo 11 landing site is shown as upright when the Autobots arrive. In actuality the flag fell over when Apollo 11 took off from the moon, according to Buzz Aldrin's autobiography.

Vader47000

Correction: We don't see a flag on a pole, only the one painted on the side of the lunar module.

Friso94

Corrected entry: When Starscream and Megatron are at the Lincoln Memorial, Megatron drops his head covering on the stairs, but the next shot after that he drops it at the threshold. (01:43:50 - 02:02:45)

TheWillster15

Correction: Re-watch the scene carefully. You see Megatron start to take off the cloak as he's walking up the stairs, but he doesn't drop it. Then when they cut back to him, you see he's dragging it along the ground, then finally drops it near the statue.

Corrected entry: At the end of the fight between Optimus prime and Sentinel (when Optimus is on the floor and Sentinel is about to kill him) Megatron comes along and shoots Sentinel several times and it is noticeable that the right of the two large wheels that are located on his chest is blown away and falls to the ground and even rolls around a bit. BUT when Sentinel is about to be shot by Optimus the wheel is very visible under his arm still attached to his chest! just after the first time he is shot and before the second shot.

starscreamf15

Correction: Megatron only blows off one wheel, and grabs the other, but the latter one is still attached to Sentinel. If you look closely, you can see it right after Cybertron collapses, but before Megatron throws him away.

Friso94

Corrected entry: When Sam and Mearing are on the plane, he tells her that the Autobots have no way of leaving the planet, although he knew that Optimus went to the moon to retrieve Sentinel.

Correction: It was never made clear in the film that Sam was aware of this. He wasn't even around when the idea of the Autobots going to the moon was discussed.

Brad

Corrected entry: When Mearing asks Sentinel about the Space Bridge, he says that only he can control it. Yet in the battle of Chicago, he orders other Decepticons to restart the link after Optimus broke it and it's not even a Transformer who restarts it. (00:51:05 - 02:19:00)

Friso94

Correction: Only Sentinel can control the bridge, as in determine where the two ends open. This does not mean it can't simply be switched on by another.

Phixius

Corrected entry: On the moon, Optimus and Ratchet are talking normally and the little cars they brought with them are also making all kinds of sound. Odd seeing how there is no atmosphere on the moon, therefore no sound.

Friso94

Correction: They are communicating via radio frequency, or some similarly functioning if much more advanced technology. We, the audience, hear them for the same reason we hear both sides of a telephone conversation in any other film: It's just how movies work.

Phixius

Corrected entry: When Sam has his last job interview there's a globe next to the boss. There are some binoculars on top of the globe and throughout the scene they keep disappearing and reappearing.

kane raggett

Correction: The binoculars are behind the globe on their own stand that's why when the scene goes back and forth they aren't in some of the shots - depends entirely on the angle.

Corrected entry: When Optimus and Ratchet are exploring the Ark, they only take Sentinel back to Earth. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to take as many of the other Autobots in stasis lock as possible back? The Xantium could easily carry some more, since it can take the nine Autobots when they are being exiled, and they can use all the help that they can get.

Friso94

Correction: The other Autobots on the ship are dead, Sentinel is the only one in stasis.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Carly's shoes appear to mysteriously alternate several times between black stiletto heels and black ballet flats in-between shots during the climactic action sequence. This is most noticeable during the collapsing building sequence as well as the scene in which Carly speaks to Megatron.

Optimus Prime: In any war, there are calms between storms. There will be days when we lose faith. Days when our allies turn against us. But the day will never come, that we forsake this planet, and its people.

Question: During the second movie we see many Autobots, Tex Two Idiot Robotwins and some Motorcyclebots. But now it are only nine Autobots again in the movie. Where did the other Autobots went? Did they got killed or went in hiding?

Answer: Mudflap and Skids (the two idiot robots I believe you are talking about) were removed from the film due to negative fan reaction. While we don't hear what happened to them in the context of the plot, no reason not to assume they were killed in fighting between the movies. Arcee and Chromia (2 of the motocycles) were killed in the last film.

Answer: No, Sentinel killed both of them in the comics.
