Plot hole: Kindaichi's denouement can happen only because the killer misses half a dozen people leaving the cottage covertly; Kindaichi does not have a clue of the killer's observation point, and despite what the detective says, the killer was not just listening, but watching them too with binoculars. Moreover, moving a microphone sensitive enough to capture the sounds of the whole room would produce noises which would have alerted the killer that they were tampering with it.

Plot hole: The plan of the killer relies on a couple of pretty strong coincidences, such as the fact that they wouldn't realise their common link (he knows nothing about what happened on the cruise, so he couldn't know that they all wouldn't realise they have met before) and the fact that the boat is discovered at the perfect time for him to commit murder (on someone who wasn't part of the trip, but is willing to join him).

Character mistake: In the prologue, Buddy cautions the player "No wondering around." That'd be 'wandering'.

Other mistake: One of the products advertised is "PARFUME SOLITAIRE." It's either Perfume (English) or Parfum (French).

Character mistake: In the version for Nintendo consoles there are mini-cutscenes. The penultimate boss (whose name was changed from "Swastika" to "M, Blaster") says that the army made Martha and him "into cyborg's", instead of "cyborgs."

Continuity mistake: After they find out that the bridge has been destroyed, the survivors debate what to do. One of them mentions that it's suicide to go in the woods without a map. He does so getting in front of Kindaichi in the aerial shot, but he's behind him in the next shot. (00:14:50)

The food in front of Kobayashi changes between shots; in the overhead shot of the table you could see just a small plate with two chopsticks, which change position in a later shot, with a beer glass added too. Other mistake: Kindaichi is afraid something might have happened to Miyuki. Finding blood, he has a flashback with several images about her. Continuity mistake: One of the reporter's that act as audience and supporters for Makoto is quite recognizable because he's in the front line and wearing glasses. His jacket is reddish/maroon at first, but in the rest of the scene becomes purple/blue. It's not a matter of lighting or lack of detail when he is in the background/shadows, just compare it to the guy next to him wearing green to see it's a proper coloring mistake. (00:06:20)

Factual error: The Infinity Gems are the main plot point used in this game, and yet their color is incorrect (for the Marvel canon of the time); the Power gem here is colored magenta, and the Time gem is cherry red. They should be red and orange (and the Reality gem should be a less warm yellow, it practically is orange here).

Plot hole: A core plot point (lifted by the comics) is that Venom needs phenethylamine, and the only way to get it is from brains and from chocolate. Let's just go with it and forget the fact that phenethylamine can be legally purchased as dietary supplement, which would solve every problem. So, Venom gets incredibly angry because Mrs. Chen's shop ran out of chocolates, and *therefore* they need to go raid a chicken plant to eat some chicken brain. Uh, Venom lives in San Francisco. Chocolate is sold everywhere. If Mrs. Chen ran out of it, there are hundreds of stores and vending machines that have it in abundance. The escalation does not make sense.

Continuity mistake: When Venom delivers the mail to Eddie while making breakfast, the letters are angled differently in the various shots, in Venom's cute little pseudo-hand first, between Tom Hardy's big paws after. (00:23:40)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" scene, Eddie already poured the orange juice and put it down before Venom messes with the radio and fridge. We see then symbiote's tentacle pass in front of Eddie's hand, which is suspended in mid-air still pouring. Then we cut back to the original angle and Hardy is about to drink from the glass, the orange juice carton well set on the table. (00:23:05)
