Parasite (2019)

Continuity mistake: Just before the violent climax at the party, the pool of blood and the pieces of glass change position next to to Ki-woo, as the noose does. (01:51:55)

Joker (2019)

Revealing mistake: When we see Arthur go through taped Murray shows, he operates the VCR controls of his brand new Panasonic VCR. Problem is, it's not turned on. The red power LED on the far right is not lit, nor are any of the LEDs on top of the various keys (even the stop button had a static red light), or the large display where the clock would be. Common mistakes

Deliberate mistake: To avoid the risk of implicating real, unsuspecting people in all sorts of unsolicited calls, movies can use specific phone numbers owned by the studios, but generally they use specific area codes and/or number ranges that are unassigned. Therefore, many movies feature phone numbers that are 'impossible' by design. It's a fact so well known that it is part of pop-culture, in particular for 555-numbers, which to modern audiences nowadays look as credible as ACME items.

Trivia: The guy who dresses a lot like the protagonist and gets his book signed during the movie ending is indeed the real James Bowen. "It's like I lived every moment.", is his line in the movie. Indeed. (01:36:00)

A Simple Favor (2018)

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the teacher asks "Has Nicky's mom volunteered?" The guy answers "Emily?" with his arms down his hips, but he had his arms folded across the chest just in the previous shot. (00:03:50)

Continuity mistake: Judge Pendergast calls the daughter of his therapist, who reacts with typical New York aplomb. During the scene, the same extras continue to walk back and forth with no logic, sometimes coming twice from the same direction, even. Most egregious example the blonde with a ponytail and sunglasses on top of her head. She is behind Jennifer Aniston in the opening shot and appears at least 4 times (possibly more but there's another blonde too -unless it's the same one who occasionally removed the glasses) and walks away from Aniston and Forte two times in a row. (00:17:40)

Deliberate mistake: At least twice the protagonist uses the bus n*38 who brings him in and out of his new neighbourhood and that has on its side an ad banner. The banner pays homage to the movie Roger Spottiswoode directed before this one (in 2014, so it'd be an anachronism given this movie's events), but it stands out for not being done properly. The first time we see it it does not have proper 'credits', copywrite, tagline, to the point that it's not possible to understand what does it advertise, the second time it does have some writing. The title quoted is also wrong, since it's written as "The Midnight Sun", while the title before re-release was "Midnight Sun." (00:11:40 - 00:38:30)

Factual error: At the book signing, the store features books who are not from the correct timeframe but from the time when the movie was shot in late 2015. Examples include a book of baby names with a big 2016 on the cover, on a shelf right when Betty appears, or "The Complete Discworld Atlas" by Terry Pratchett, between Anthony Head and Beth Goddard in their close-up during James' speech. (01:34:35)

Sammo

Factual error: James is having the preliminary chat with the book publishers. They are discussing in a room with several promo posters ("Alice and the Fly", "Solitude Creek") of books that came out in 2015, well past the date the movie itself reveals later. (01:30:20)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: James after talking to the pushers outside his house steps in, and behind him we see Bob curled by the window. In the following close-up the cat is turned in a different direction. (01:21:00)

Sammo

Deliberate mistake: Some odd legal matter must be involved here; when we see the two ladies look at the viral video, one tells the other to look at the "Youtube" sensation with over a million views, but the website shown is not Youtube but an obvious knockoff version. (01:19:30)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: When Bob runs away during the incident with the pushy lady that wants to buy him off James, the cat is wearing his leash in some shots, and isn't in others. (01:16:50)

Sammo

Other mistake: After a month of suspension, James can finally sell again The Big Issue. The issue he carries in the street though, is issue 1174, from early October 2015. Besides the anachronism, the first issue he was selling, well over a month before, was number 1175. (01:16:00)

Sammo

Factual error: James has a meltdown right after New Year's Eve, and to try and get his life back he turns to the good fellas at "The Big Issue", magazine that famously offers an opportunity to the homeless. The issue they give him to sell has Tom Jones on the cover and the title, appropriate to the theme, "What's new, Pussycat?" Problem is, not only it's an issue from 2015 (posterior to the events of the movie) but it's also from October. The two posters we see in the office are covers from early 2012, so those do instead fit perfectly in the timeline. (01:07:00)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: James is eating the non-Christmas lunch with Betty; he says "I'm tofu, and I'm inedible", and she laughs. In these two shots, she has different food on her fork. (00:55:30)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: Throughout the conversation with Betty after Baz's OD, Ruta Gedmintas' hands/fingers change position on the cup between shots. (00:53:00)

Sammo

Character mistake: It happens in real life too, but when Betty makes the "I'm a level 4 vegan; I don't eat anything that casts a shadow" joke, she misquotes The Simpsons' episode where the quote originated. That'd be level 5. (00:48:40)

Sammo

Continuity mistake: The evening that follows the first successful performance, James opens a can of food for Bob. He puts the can to his left, but in the next shot the can is on the opposite side of the table, to Bob's right. (00:45:30)
