Continuity mistake: During the 'double attack' against the robot called by Hikaru with a Gundam reference "Devil Aestivalis", her mecha is in front of Izumi's as they approach waving left and right, but when they get punched away Izumi's is the one leading the attack. (00:18:40)

Continuity mistake: Ranma runs away from Shampoo's first assault. There's an establishing shot of the 'Pand' cafe, and you can see the big hole in the wall. The debris is shaped like rocks, thicker than the wall they supposedly were a part of. In the next shot, when Akane points her to the wrong direction, you can also see toppled furniture and a dude poking his head out of the wall, not matching the earlier view. (00:03:55)

Other mistake: Genma is snoring instead of listening to Ranma, and he punishes him slamming his face into the floor. One of the last images flashing on screen during the KO is Azusa Shiratori the ice skater, a character Ranma has not encountered yet. (00:11:40)

Continuity mistake: Shampoo breaks a part of the outer wall of the Tendo house swinging at Akane. You can see the chui wrecked through 3 vertical rows and part of a fourth, completely destroying horizontal wooden slats. After the intermission we see Akene raging next to the wall, which is now broken in barely 3 sections and with a visible horizontal slat intact in one out of 3. (00:09:50 - 00:11:45)

Continuity mistake: As Mr. Tendo is fuming, Shampoo pulls out a book. Seen from behind, she is holding it with the thumb of her left hand along the edge. In the reverse shot, the position of her hand is not consistent; her thumb should be visible or at least part of her hand should be closer, for the thumb to be in that position and at that height. Continuity mistake: Ranma's shirt has wet stains in the upper part from Nabikini pouring water to turn him back into his male form. Then he falls into the pond thanks to Ryoga's disturbance, turning female again. And the chase begins again, with his shirt having just the wet patch around his shoulders, while she should be wet head to toe. (00:20:00)

Continuity mistake: Ranma chased by Shampoo keeps running in circles around the breakfast table. Akane is eating from a brown colored bowl, but when she gets up and screams she had enough, on the table there are only light purple bowls. We can get a glimpse of the brown one on the table a moment later once Shampoo bounces off Akane flicking away with her toes. (00:04:15)

Other mistake: After beating up the dummy, Akane is thinking back about her 'relationship' with Ranma. During her thoughts, the first memory that pops to her mind is something that has not happened yet, Ranma moving in front of her and saying "She's MY fiancee", part of the story arc at the ice rink that will happen only later in the series (Episode 20 of the English dub, which unites both Ranma series in one, episode 8 of the Ranma Ranma ½; Nettô-hen series; "Kikiippatsu! Shiryō no Bonodori"). More recent home video editions have fixed the mistake, airing the ice rink episodes before the Shampoo ones - which is where they should have been in the first place; Shampoo's debut episode was preempted last minute in the original airing to help unsatisfying ratings with the appearance of one of the most popular manga characters. Continuity mistake: Ryoga arrives in the room with a bucket of water, threatening to expose Ranma. During the rest of the scene his position in the room (and the way the sign on the top part of the wall hangs) keep changing, shifting closer to the outside door or the inner part of the room. Continuity mistake: In the flashback to the first meeting in China, Ranma dodges Shampoo's assault hopping on top of the metal ball of her chuí mace. Seen from behind, the corn ear in her mouth is turned the opposite way compared to the other views, as you can tell by the cob. (00:06:10)

Continuity mistake: While Ranma is talking to Soun Tendo, Shampoo is rubbing against him. His hands are down on the tatami, then the right arm is in midair, then when Akane enters the room again in a rage, the arm is down again, and in the reverse shot he is even almost lying down. (00:12:50)

Continuity mistake: Ranma begins washing Akane's hair in a full white sink, showing an orange interior and trim in the angle from the drain, fully orange when she rips it off, and again white with orange trim when Ranma is in a pile of its rubble. (00:05:16)

Continuity mistake: Akane parries the lunging blow by Shampoo who accuses her of hiding Ranma. Her fingers are on yellow slices of her chui, with a green section on top. In the following shot, it's the other way around; the slices in equatorial position are green and the poles are yellow. (00:09:35)

Continuity mistake: Akane begins guessing Ranma's name, and for each wrong guess the classmates in the background assume a wacky position. Right between "ROM" and "Help me Ronda" though, the classmates are in the initial position instead of the one following the Ranko ginsu knives. (00:13:55)

Continuity mistake: Kasumi is at the shops in town. She hears distant shouts and looks over. Her ponytail is animated as it flops down her shoulder, ribbon in front. Different view, and the ribbon is lying on top of her shoulder. (00:16:55)

Continuity mistake: Every guest of the house is crowding Ranma with requests of souvenirs from China. Nabiki asks for "one of those silk dresses", and she is making a gesture sticking one finger out. Reverse shot, and it is a two-finger gesture. (00:08:50)

Continuity mistake: After the scene with naked Ryoga in the gym warehouse, Ranma is walking home with Akane. He is walking on top of a wall that transitions from concrete to horizontal palisade, but as the shot changes, it is a full fence all along. Not just that; the billboard located in front of the junction has different notes posted on it, from 2 to 3. (00:16:00)

Continuity mistake: When Ranma wins the championship away from Shampoo with a decisive kick, her weapon flies away spinning around in the dedicated view, but in the long shot both her maces are flying away with no rotation. (00:07:00)

Continuity mistake: Akane's sisters reassure her that Ranma is not fancying Shampoo (Nabiki hilariously remarks that he does not have the guts to cheat on her). She peeks back at him perched on the birdhouse, and you can see he still has his hand raised and finger pointed at Shampoo - but in the next shot, he has both hands down for support. (00:16:25)
