Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Other mistake: Richard states that all 33 of the prints he recovered from the cash wraps were by the victim, but we see the secretary in flashbacks collect them from the garbage bin with no gloves, which would leave obvious prints that can't be washed away - the presence of prints wouldn't even be all that incriminating per se, since it wouldn't be terribly strange for the personal assistant to momentarily handle some money inside her boss' office.

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When the killer walks away from the victim, his right arm touches the carpet in the first shot, is above it in the next, and was even further distant from it in the one before the opening roll of the episode. (00:40:00)

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When the murder is shown, the killer grabs the gun with both hands at first, then the close-up shows them pick the gun from the drawer with just the left hand. (00:39:40)

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Richard lifts the soft paper towards the UV light picking it with his tongs by the far corner - in the close-up the strip is pinched right in the middle of it, though. (00:24:25)

Other mistake: One of the waiting screens in between matches deals with the possibility to collect items "in ability limit break scenarios." There is a schedule specifying the various type of characters those items are designed for, a schedule for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday...Sunday and Sunday.

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: In the scene with Richard bossing Camille around with his brisk finger-waving, she is pinning in place the red tape using just two fingers pointed against the book or her hand hovering on top of it, clenched in a fist, depending on the angle. (00:09:50)

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: Checking out of the crime scene, Richard puts the plane ticket down after the interview with the PA is over. In close-up the ticket lands diagonally across the bottom side and the left side of the organizer, but in the shots of the room the ticket is placed on the top side of the page. (00:09:00)

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Audio problem: Vicky had just introduced herself to Camille when a gunshot is heard. Everyone reacts as you'd expect with such a loud and sudden noise exploded in the middle of a party, everyone except in a brief cut to Duncan Wood. Nobody in that shot is perturbed by the bang in the slightest. (00:02:50)

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: One of the very first beautiful people shown in the episode is a woman with very short and very blonde hair, wearing a colourful dress as she stops to chat up a woman in a polka dot dress. The camera pans outside and finds Camille who is reaching Poole. And next to him, the same lady is already there, chatting with a different person in a totally different part of the property. Episode #2.7 - S2-E7

Plot hole: The professor at the beginning of the episode says;"I want the instruments photographed as back-up", which makes total sense. And in fact we do see pictures of exactly that...except one. The one photo that will prove to be fatal for the murderer is a picture not of the instruments, but of the weather station, which would be absolutely useless as backup for being too distant. But had it been a close-up, the 'shadow' gimmick that solves the case would have not happened.

Episode #2.7 - S2-E7

Plot hole: It is established that there are 4 stations in the N, S, E, W parts of the island and it takes roughly the same amount of time to get to any of them from the central part of the island where the university is. When we see a map of the fictional Saint Marie as DI Richard Poole explains how he is going to look for the camera, the map shows an island with a distance W to E about double the the distance from N to S, making impossible that one could get by car to places with such different distance from the center in equal amounts of time. Episode #2.7 - S2-E7

Other mistake: The show, shot in Guadeloupe, part of France, is set in the fictional island of Saint Marie, British overseas territory, with English as official language. When we see the development company sign a big cheque to the local university, it is to the order of University of Guadeloupe (also non-existent, since the university in Guadeloupe would have been in 2012 the University of the French West Indies and Guiana). Incidentally, the document that supposedly incriminating picture (taken at an amazingly public event including giant cardboard fake cheque) is from, is a form about real estate in Nevada. (00:20:50)
