Magnum, P.I. (1980)

Computer Date - S2-E13

Other mistake: A big deal is made of Magnum wearing a suit, both by Higgins and by Magnum himself when he speaks to others. You'd expect then this to be the first time we see him donning such a formal, wear and head into a corporate meeting, but he wore in fact a suit for a long portion of screentime just two episodes prior, in Ghost Writer (2-11).

Other mistake: The technical documentation of the Seravee Gundam says that "Improvements to the GN Field's defensive capabilities provides it with better performance." Improvements provide, not provideS.

Try to Remember - S2-E14

Plot hole: Magnum gets through a wild goose chase because of two false clues, but their presence is not explained in the denouement nor makes sense. Magnum suffered no real amnesia, he says, and it's proven Magnum has never been to either places, so the parking ticket and card must come from the killer, linking them to the murder in an unnecessary way. They fill screen time nicely but do not fit the murder scheme.

Try to Remember - S2-E14

Plot hole: The key plot point needs that the mechanics fixed a car completely wrecked in large parts of the chassis. So nobody gave it as much of a test run after working extensively on the aerodynamics, nobody sat on it for a moment, nobody drove it a few meters from the tow truck to the work area, at all and a single mechanic of the large car shop is able to say that with absolute certainty. It's an enormous stretch - not to mention that while Selleck's slouched posture in the episode makes it not entirely unbelievable, he is taller than Mark Withers by an inch, and the Ferrari was modified in real life to accommodate Selleck's size - there would be no way to push the seat further back, and the plot point is unnecessary for the resolution.

Try to Remember - S2-E14

Stupidity: Magnum totals his car and suffers " a severe concussion, numerous cracked ribs, bruised hip and a contused kidney." The injuries are methodically listed and can't be dismissed, but he's driving, on his own, literally the next day, and the Ferrari (which requires importing pieces, plus an insurance claim) is repaired just a day after. Both are more than miraculous recoveries - and his friends who care this much about him just let him drive in such condition (one has to assume that with damage so severe he'd also be on pain medication, but that's not mentioned).

Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, Tanaka approaches Magnum on the hammock and they have a chat. Sticking out from Tanaka's pocket, first his pair of glasses, then a packet of cigarettes for most close-ups, then the glasses again. (00:46:20)

Other mistake: Completing the quest "Have 50 Friends, send 3,000 hearts" gives you a perk that is called "Celebrity I" in the mission report, and "Well Known I" in the trophy showcase.

Other mistake: The name of Virgo's sidestory is "Ten Trillion worlds apart", as it shows in the quest list and in the in-game story, but in several other parts of the game it appears as simply "Trillion worlds apart"

Continuity mistake: In the reaction shot on Aunt Stella when Chris tells "I am (perfect) ", she is standing upright and with one hand on her mouth in surprise. Next shot and she's in the background leaning on the bar with both hands. (00:19:50)

Continuity mistake: Tom just had the first bite of the Napoleon crab and tells his date "You should really try this." Chris in a blatant lack of continuity goes from having her arms wide at the side of the plate, to raised arms with hands joined. And in the rest of the scene there are more inconsistencies in her hand motions, at practically every cut. (00:18:50)

The Jororo Kill - S2-E12

Revealing mistake: The killer nun is making "his" escape; shoots dead one secret service guy who in the spirit of 80s network television shows not a drop of blood and is propelled through the air as if he was hit by a cannonball and not some little silenced pistol. (00:45:25)

Other mistake: The priest and altar boys have the slowest reflexes ever; they stand as if nothing happened during the whole shootout, and can be seen finally covering behind the altar only after a few cuts, after the shots have already stopped. (00:45:05)

The Jororo Kill - S2-E12

Stupidity: Kate is supposed to nail the biggest scoop of her career on Bannister and bets all of her career on it, really. but she apparently never bothered to check out how the guy looks or sounds, since all it takes is hearing one sentence from him thanks to the tape from TV, to recognize who he is.
