Other mistake: During the game at the beginning of the episode, the opposing team (the Pearl City Chargers, white and purple) fields at least two players with the same jersey number 12. The kid protagonist runs past a guy with number 12 at he starts his run, and then dodges another two in front of him, who are present in the same shot - it's not a matter of editing/continuity, at least in that second shot. Continuity mistake: When the kid walks off the pitch at the beginning of the episode, he's carrying his helmet in the left hand and sports bag in the right, but when TC explains the sad story of the dad, he has the helmet in his right and the bag in his left. (00:01:40)

Continuity mistake: Magnum and his buddies have gotten all the information they needed from Jansen and Harms, and he begins to fast-talk his way out of the reinforcements. He points a stick at one of them, using his left hand, saying "You owe me 30 bucks." In a cut, the stick switches to the right hand. (00:33:10)

Continuity mistake: Magnum is struggling to load the big heavy crate in the van, or make it budge at all. Over half of the crate is in the shadow of the building, but in the rest of the scene when Magnum has to fight the two muscleheads off, it's suddenly fully in the sun. (00:09:30)

Continuity mistake: When Magnum shows the week-old fortune cookie to a disgusted Higgins, the cookie changes position in his palm in John Hillerman's close-up and when he grabs it - prying the fortune slip from the right side instead of the left where it was in the previous shot. (00:05:25)

Continuity mistake: Magnum follows Higgins carrying a wheelbarrow with 3 tool handles sticking out in the front from the sacks. At least at the beginning, because when they emerge from the passageway it's suddenly 4 handles. (00:04:15)

Continuity mistake: Higgins stops Magnum's work telling him that the very special lawn of the estate can't be just mowed. Magnum leans against the mower, held it straight by the left bar, and goes "Gee, Higgins..." In the next shot he is still holding by the left bar, but sideways. (00:04:10)

Continuity mistake: In the long bickering with Steve while they kinda talk with Sofia, Danny picks up the badge the Steve put on the table, put it down before the cut talking about bad relationship decisions, but in the next shot he's gesturing again with the badge. (00:23:10)

Continuity mistake: Steve and Danny sit at the diner's where they need to meet with the fugitive's girlfriend. As Danny gives Steve the speech about the "mammal to mammal" interactions he puts his toothpick in his mouth, but it vanishes in the front view, only to be plucked back at the beginning of the next shot. Continuity mistake: Inside Steve's office, Mary says that she would have taken anything from their dad, even disappointment,"because at least it would have been something." In that close-up, her hair is noticeably different than in the rest of the scene, much thinner over the shoulders. (00:19:45)

Other mistake: The episode makes sure to mention the real places where the action happens. The fugitive escapes from Halawa Correctional Facility, and dumps the car at Kakaʻako Beach Park, which is about 25 minutes away. Danny and the others arrive at the location way before Steve, who was at the airport, which is roughly 15 mins away from the penitentiary (kinda odd that they'd happen to be even closer than him, but fine). They have then the footage to investigate, the guard to talk to, the game of hoops with the prisoners, go back to their precinct, but despite the huge headstart Ellers had, they catch the car that was abandoned "15 minutes earlier." Moreover, Chin calls Danny to tell him about the car only after he already investigated the location and interrogated the witness. It can't even be 15 minutes, because 15 minutes is when the fugitive bought the products from the market, and he still needed to dye his hair.
