Ready Player One (2018)

Continuity mistake: As Wade explains what Sixers are, he introduces the audience to the film's villain, Sorrento. Sorrento is walking up to a railing over looking the Sixers getting into their virtual cars and he leans up casually against it, resting mostly on his right arm with his elbow bent as he leans to one side with his left arm outstretched a bit. But then it cuts to a close up and suddenly he's leaning forward resting on both arms with them out stretched in front of him. (00:11:20)

Show generally

Revealing mistake: During the title sequence, Zelda explains to Link that Ganon is after both Triforce and if he gets it he will rule this land forever. She leans towards him putting her hands on him, and for a couple frames of animation, the area of her pants shown between the straps of the pouch on her side turn brown like the pouch as well. The animators didn't color that spot correctly for that frame. (00:00:20)

Continuity mistake: During the Moblin fight, Link jumps off the wall next to his bed and there is a green trunk that he gets his clothes off later. But as Zelda is walking into the room looking at the destruction, it completely vanishes. (00:03:20 - 00:04:10)

Revealing mistake: After Link grabs his sword and pillow from the air, he lands and turns to face two of the Moblins. When it shows them, the one standing up appears to have its feet stuck in the ground in an odd error in how it's drawn. (00:02:35)

Continuity mistake: Link jumps through the air and grabs his sword and pillow mid air as they launch towards him. He lands and turns to face the other Moblins, and his left arm is extended out straight with the pillow in hand. But it cuts to an angle behind him and suddenly his elbow is bent with the pillow raised up. Also his position by the window changes, with it showing the window a bit behind him in one shot, then beside him slightly to the front in the next. In the next shot again after the Moblin charges him, the window is fully behind him. (00:02:35)

Continuity mistake: Link throws the Moblin off his shoulders towards his bed, and as it's flying through the air you get a quick shot of the table. It then cuts to a different angle just before the Moblin hits the bed, and now the table legs are suddenly much shorter, with it lower to the ground. Also the cup and pitcher on the table do the opposite and grow taller. (00:02:30)

Continuity mistake: After Link kicks the Moblin away that was holding his feet, the Moblin that was behind him climbs up onto his shoulders (for some stupid reason), and is sitting on him like that holding his head. In this position his right foot and both hands are visible but his left foot is not, indicating it's behind Link's arm or just on his shoulder, covered. But then it cuts to a wide angle from the same camera angle and suddenly the Moblin's left foot is visible below it's hand on Link's chest. (00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: After Link kicks the Moblin in the face that's holding his feet, there is a shot from behind as the other Moblin holds his arms and this shows Link's bed. In this shot, the sheet on his bed has turned from blue to brown, and also is draped over the side much more. (00:01:20 - 00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: As the Moblins are holding Link so the third one can go for the Triforce, the Moblin behind Link is holding his arms. In one shot, the Moblin appears to have his hands over Link's wrists with Link's elbow extended out, the Moblin gripping his arm like one would a motorcycle handle. But then in the next shot, suddenly the Moblin's arms are curled around Link's arms the other way with his hand between Link's arm and back like one would hold a bar when doing pull ups. (00:02:20)

The Ringer - S1-E1

Stupidity: As Link is watching Zelda from his tower, he's completely distracted and oblivious to the Moblins entering his room from the floor. They have the element of surprise and one sneaks up behind him. But rather than doing the smart thing and say, stabbing Link in the back or delivering a crushing blow from behind while Link is unaware of his presence, the Moblin simply just grabs him on the shoulder and puts his arms behind his back to hold him while the other Moblins go for the Triforce. Giving Link plenty of ability to kick one in the face, free himself and grab his weapon to fight them off. The Moblin should have just gone for the stealth kill, even if they aren't all that bright of an opponent. (00:02:10)

Continuity mistake: Right after the title of the show appears, Zelda opens the door to the room with the Triforce of Wisdom inside to show it to Link. In this shot, the emblem at the top of the door is in the shape of the letter M with wavy lines coming off the tips. Also the round posts at the top of the door are large and thick, and there is a rafter in the ceiling that's almost dead center above the point of the door top. But then in the first episode as Link is getting out of bed, with that same room now being his quarters, you can see the door again. Now the emblem on top is a circle, the posts are shorter and smaller, and the rafter on the ceiling has moved over a few feet to the left. (00:00:05 - 00:01:20)

Ready Player One (2018)

Halliday: Hello... I'm James Halliday. If you're watching this, I'm dead. Before I died, I created, what we in the biz call, an Easter Egg. A hidden object in a game that gives special powers to whoever discovers it. First person to find the egg I've hidden somewhere inside the OASIS, will inherent my stock in Gregarious Games, currently valued in excess of half a million dol-...uh, half a trillion dollars worth. And total control of the OASIS itself. In the form of my avatar...Anorak The All Knowing, I created three keys. Three hidden challenges. Tests for worthy traits revealing three hidden keys to three magic gates. And those with the skills to survive these straits will reach the end where the prize awaits. Off you go, keys! The keys aren't just lying around under a rock somewhere. I suppose you could say they're invisible, hidden in a dark room that's at the center of a maze that's located... somewhere. Up here. Let the hunt for Halliday's Easter Egg begin. (00:08:20 - 00:10:05)

Wade Watts: I was born in 2027. After the Corn Syrup Droughts, after the Bandwith Riots. After people stopped trying to fix problems and just tried to outlive them. My parents? They didn't make it through those times, so I live here in Columbus, Ohio with my Aunt Alice. In 2045, Columbus is the fastest-growing city on Earth. It's where Halliday and Morrow started Gregarious Games. These days, reality is a bummer. Everyone's looking for a way to escape, and that's why Halliday... That's why he was such a hero to us. He showed us that we could go somewhere without going anywhere at all. You don't need a destination when you're running on an omnidirectional treadmill with quadraphonic pressure-sensitive underlay. James Halliday saw the future. And then he built it. He gave us a place to go. A place called... the OASIS. (00:02:15 - 00:03:30)

Ready Player One trivia picture

Trivia: In the video that Halliday left behind after his death, you see floral arrangements around his coffin that are in the shape of the Star Trek's Federation symbol and one of the Enterprise. But the really cool thing is his coffin is actually a photon torpedo, exactly like Spock was put in after his death at the end of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Complete with the blue Federation flag draped over the end of it. (00:08:05)
