The One mistake picture

Continuity mistake: During the fight with Gabe and Yulaw, Yulaw does a powerful move of lunging forward and smashing Gabe with both his fists, sending him flying into a green metal box that crumbles from the impact. Gabe then falls to the floor, close to the box. The shot changes to Yulaw thinking he has victory, then back to Gabe. Gabe is now noticeably further from the green box, and his arms and legs are in different positions. (01:08:40)

The One (2001)

Revealing mistake: During the fight between Yulaw and Gabe, while on the catwalk up high, they both jump into the air. Yulaw kicks Gabe, who falls to the ground quickly. The shot showing Gabe hit, was poorly done, showing him fall much too slowly, and having a soft impact with almost no bounce at all. (01:07:55)

The One (2001)

Factual error: Just after TK gets the gun for Yulaw, who is pretending to be Gabe, she sees the real Gabe out the window. It cuts to him crouching behind a fence, with his dog in front of him. The dog has its back to the camera, and is facing Gabe while sitting down. Here, they dubbed over a sound of a dog growling to make it more suspenseful. But that part is entirely wrong. One, it is Gabe's own dog, who in a previous scene was happy to see Gabe and wagging his tail. He would not be growling at his master in such a manner at this point. The dog is also sitting down in a relaxed posture. If the dog was actually growling at him in such a threatening manor, it would not be sitting down, but standing and head lowered. (00:56:00)

Audio problem: When TK finds Yulaw in the attic, Yulaw is impersonating Gabe and asks TK to get him a gun. Just before she walks away, the last thing Yulaw says is "TK." But his lip movements don't match up to what he says. (00:55:10)

Other mistake: Several times throughout the movie, it is said that Yulaw killed himself 123 times. And at his sentencing, he was convicted of murdering himself 123 times. However both Funsch and Roedecker say the first time he killed himself, he was forced to defend himself against another form of himself, which wouldn't be murder, because he was defending himself as an MVA agent.

Suggested correction: More likely, when they mention he's killed himself 123 times, they're referring to the number of times he's intentionally killed himself.

The One (2001)

Audio problem: When the MVA agents confront Yulaw in the hospital, Funsch locks in on Yulaw's right shoulder first. His gun's sights show up, being blue, and then turn red. There is a sound that the gun makes before the sight vanishes. The shots change, and you hear the sound end while the site is off screen showing the scared doctor. Then, several seconds later, it shows Roedecker's gun lock in on Yulaw's left shoulder, and the sound happens as the blue site turns red, and vanishes. However, the site from Funsch's gun is still on Yulaw visible and red, only now vanishing. The sound it made already indicating that it was gone, but it wasn't. (00:33:25)

Plot hole: In the second foot chase scene, with Gabe chasing Yulaw, both of them make it over a tall wall with razor wire on the top. Yulaw does it with little effort, and Gabe struggles doing so, but also makes it. They only got over the wall because of their enhanced abilities from the murder of their other dimensional selves. Later in the movie, Gabe says. "I wouldn't be here, if you guys didn't make it up right behind me." His friend then says, "We never made it up that wall." Ordinary humans could not do what the two Gabriels did. However, in that chase scene after Yulaw shoots Gabe and he falls over, it shows the MVA agents suddenly popping up over the wall and shooting at Yulaw. How did they manage to get up the wall? Other mistake: In the chase scene after Yulaw first tries to kill Gabe, Gabe is chasing Yulaw on foot and shooting at him. There is a parked police car that Yulaw runs in front of and by. Gabe fires a shot from his pistol, and the back glass of the police car shatters. However, Gabe was in front to the right of the car. The front windshield was undamaged, and neither of the two side windows were damaged. So Gabe was in front of the car, shot, and somehow only busted the back glass. (00:23:30)

Continuity mistake: In the chase scene after Yulaw kills Lawless, it shows him leaping across a gap between two bridges. In second shot, when he first start the jump, it shows him make it half way across the gap. Then the next shot shows him barely past the first railing, not close to half way yet. (00:07:10)

Tropic Thunder (2008)

Trivia: In the movie, Robert Downey Jr.'s character of Kirk Lazarus, who is in character as Lincoln Osiris, says he won't drop character until after the DVD commentary. In the DVD commentary Robert Downey Jr. actually stays in character as Lincoln Osiris until the scene where Kirk Lazarus also drops the character. At this point in the commentary, Downey Jr. adopts Lazarus' "real" Australian accent and stays in that character.

Factual error: At Valentin's Caviar factory, one of the lumbering choppers cuts through Bond's car. It is obvious that saw blades cutting through metal cause a high volume of sparks. Yet as the saws cut, the car is simply split in half down the middle, and falls apart. This would have ignited the gas tank, and the car would have exploded. Not to mention all the modifications Q has made to the car, with rockets and other explosive goodies.

Daredevil (2003)

Factual error: After Matt beats down King Pin, he throws a rose off the roof and says. "This is for you, dad." The rose then spins and falls in various positions, hitting petals first on the ground. This would not be how it fell. The petals are light, and the stem heavier. Plus, the petals would have more air resistance. The rose would have fallen stem first the full way down and landed on that.

Continuity mistake: After Electra stabs Matt with her sai, she is bent down to him, with the front of her hair raked back over her ears. When she stands up in the very next shot, her hair changes to being straightened out.

Daredevil (2003)

Factual error: Even with a highly sensitive sense of smell, Matt could not possibly have smelled Electra walking down the street towards the diner that he and his friend were sitting in. There was no evidence of wind, as judging by her hair, and she had not even opened the door yet. Without wind, the air particles, which would carry her sent would follow behind her in a wake. They could not have gotten to the door ahead of her without wind, much less get though a closed door for Matt to smell her.

Super Mario Bros. (1993)

Continuity mistake: A Bob-Omb explodes under the devolving Koopa and sends him flying. The shot shows him flying straight up, and without cutting, shows him begin to fall along the same trajectory. The big pot thing is off to his left, and well out of reach of him falling. Yet then it cuts to him falling at an obvious angle and into the pot. The trajectory was all wrong.

Continuity mistake: Just after the car chase scene, Mario drives the police car into a tunnel, which disconnects the vehicle from the power grid. The car even says, power shutting down, causing the monitor to shut down, and for the breaks to stop working. However, even after the car leaves the tunnel and is dangling in fungus, way out of reach of the power, the headlights and the police lights of the car are still lit. They should have shut down also when power was lost.

Other mistake: In the police car chase after the prison break, Mario lets go of the wheel to prove a point to Luigi. In doing so, their police car rams head on with a civilian car, causing the police car to ramp up and stop on top of the civilian car. Normally, this could theoretically happen. However, in that world, the police cars are fitted with a snow plow like thing on the front of the cars, with an angle to them. The way the cars hit, it is not possible for the police car to have hopped up on top of the civilian car in such a manner. If anything, the snow plow would have caused the civilian car to ramp up on the police car.

Revealing mistake: In the prison escape scene, Mario and Luigi get on a zip line like pulley track and swing though the prison. Goombas are shooting fire balls at them. The first fire ball slowly goes and hits a wall. Watching closely, you can see the line of fire travel down the wall, showing where the special effects crew had pre-coated the wall with a flammable fluid.

Revealing mistake: After the old lady steals the meteor rock from Luigi, the big lady in red picks her up and throws her off down below into a moving car. She gets up and shocks the driver, causing the car to rear end the vehicle in front of it. If you watch closely, you see the engine top shift forward and the back of it lifts up. This reveals it is just a fake prop attached to the vehicle and not a real engine.

Revealing mistake: During the helicopter escape scene before Tran fires the rocket at them, you can see Cody's hair showing up a bright green from the green screening. You see it several times, but most pronounced at the moment he and Portnoy see Peck arrive with the TiVo. (01:36:10)

Suggested correction: Actually it's from the overhead Plexiglas windows in the Huey. They are tinted green to cut down on sunshine. Any light shining in from above is going to make things appear green.
