Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Continuity mistake: As Lilith is calling Gretel stupid meat, she is holding a bowl and is standing in front of her and Hansel. The side shots show Lilith's hand and bowl barely visible in the left side of the fame. Close ups on Lilith show she does not move any closer. But in the later side shots, she is suddenly much closer, having her torso and hands visible in the side shots. (01:20:35)

Hansel & Gretel mistake picture

Continuity mistake: John is taken down by a trap set by Hansel and puts a big hole in his back. He gets back up and is shot down by the Sheriff. As he is getting up a second time, it shows his back. There is no hole in his back or shirt before the Sheriff finishes him off. It also shows no hole or blood on his back in one shot when he is chasing with the bear trap before he is shot the first time. (01:16:45)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Continuity mistake: While on the run through the woods, H&G set a trap for John. John hits it perfectly and a big sharp branch swings out and impales his back. As he pulls himself free from it, blood is like a geyser gushing out of the wound. He falls to the ground a half second later and suddenly there is no gush of blood. (01:15:50)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Continuity mistake: At the table, Gretel stabs John in the left hand with a knife. The wound in his hand is never seen again in the film and his hand looks fine, except in the last part where he is chasing H&G. It is most noticeable when he is climbing out of the fire place escape route after being blocked in. (00:37:25 - 01:13:35)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Revealing mistake: After the sheriff hits the other guy with his car and the arrow is pushed through him, the Sheriff shakes him after he dies. The part of the arrow sticking up out of his chest wobbles around very loosely. (01:10:50)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Continuity mistake: H&G's dad and his fiancée enter Lilith's house. As they do, the girl's hand is on the door in a close up, and she slides it across and drops her arm to her side letting go of the door. It cuts to a high angle, and you see her repeat this action. (01:08:35)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Plot hole: After Lilith kills Officer Jerry, the Sheriff goes to her bakery and finds a large blood trail leading right to him where she stashed Jerry's body. If she was going to go through the trouble to try and move and hide the body, she would have cleaned up the blood trail too, or moving the body out of site was completely pointless. (01:07:30)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Continuity mistake: While searching through the woods, H&G's dad find the bear trap that snared Hansel a couple nights before. First thing wrong is that when he finds it, the blood is still wet and deep red, but it has been at least a day and a half that blood was sitting there. The more obvious mistake is that it is covered in Hansel's blood, but when his dad picks it up, it has very little blood on it at all. (01:06:20)

Hansel & Gretel mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Hansel and Gretel are hiding from John, a jar of worms has been broken on the table they are under. Some worms fall through and land on Gretel's face, leaving dirt. The shot cuts to John, then right back to Gretel and suddenly her face has no dirt. Throughout that entire sequence, dirt and worms keep appearing and disappearing from her face and neck. (00:48:30)

Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Revealing mistake: The boy who escapes runs right past the Lilith son named John. John puts an arrow in this guy's back before Lilith calls him inside. As the boy gets back up to run, you can see a bulge under his shirt where the arrow is held. And as he moves, the arrow bobs and bounces around like it's super lose and not really in his back. Hansel & Gretel (2013)

Plot hole: The room that the teens are kept in while being fattened up is locked up by a single, wooden, thin door with a conventional doorknob as the only lock. That door is way too flimsy to hold them. Two strong teenage boys with two girls there as well could have easily broken the door down with little effort and escaped.

Hansel & Gretel mistake picture

Revealing mistake: At the dinner table when Lilith and Gretel are eating lunch with Lilith's "sons", Gretel takes a knife and stabs the boy closes to her in the hand. In the close up of the hand, it looks obviously rubber. That and there is already blood under it before the knife even hits. (00:37:25)
