General questions

I know why Green Screen and Blue Screen is used in movies, for computer special effects, especially for changing the background or environment around somebody. But what is the difference between blue screen and green screen other than obviously the color? what difference does it make which one they use and what are the purposes for either?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: There is not really a difference. The only time when one out benefits the other is when the wardrobe conflicts with either screen.

Iron Man: Armored Adventures mistake picture

Iron Forged in Fire: Part One - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: The front car has an extension towards the top front showing the train’s number, 07. This is only on the front car, and the other 3 cars of the train do not have this. But after Tony busts through the first car and blasts the connection between it and the second car, you see that the extension and 07 are suddenly at the top of the second car. But as soon as the lead car breaks away and the camera changes angles and pulls back, the second car no longer has the extension. (00:20:05)

Lion: Greetings, my good friends. You all, undoubtedly, have been under the delusion or shall I say, misapprehension, that we of the cartoon animal kingdom, are lacking in the finer sensibilities. Now to disprove this we shall ask you to forget our formal pranks and playfulness. We ask you in the name of dignity, and art to put yourselves in a receptive frame of mind. And not to expect of us the foolery, and clowning you generally associate us with. And now, to an all musical program.

Continuity mistake: Trying to stop the train, Tony’s Iron Man suit breaks the front door off and he plows through the first car. As he does, you see the door goes into the train as well and stops at the first seats on the right side, getting stuck there. Only seconds later after Tony separates the rest of the train from the lead car and turns back, the door that came off has now vanished. (00:20:10)

Only a couple seconds later, Tony flies down there to cut off the train, and suddenly the two guys have vanished. (00:18:00)

Iron Forged in Fire: Part One - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As Tony is attempting to hack into Stark Tower with the Iron Man suit, Rhodey tells him a train is out of control and about to crash into the tower. The display on Rhodey’s screen shows the train is on a straight path with no turns directly towards the tower. But when it cuts to show the actual train, it is on a turn. (00:17:40)

Revealing mistake: After Tony almost runs into a car after losing control, he flies back up and the road is still shown under him. That group of cars passes and after a brief moment of open road under him, a clone group of the exact same cars in the same lanes pass under him again before the shot changes. (00:16:45)

Iron Forged in Fire: Part One - S1-E1

Revealing mistake: Rhodey is helping Tony on his first flight in the Iron Man suit and is looking at a computer with green displays and diagrams indicating locations of structures and Iron Man in respect to them. It shows this twice, with Iron Man in different places, yet the screen that Rhodey looks at is exactly the same without changing. (00:16:30)

Continuity mistake: When Tony first gets in his Iron Man suit to go spy on Stane, Rhodey is at Tony’s secret lab and still there when Tony lifts off. But when Tony emerges from the tunnel and flies at the city, Rhodey is somehow miraculously back at his own house in his room, sitting at a computer to guide Tony. Iron Forged in Fire: Part One - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: As Iron Man is making his first flight, he leaves his secret lab through a tunnel he flies up. At first, from exterior and from Tony’s perspective, the tunnel has elaborate designs inside and some sort of technology, like bright orange lines and other stuff along the walls. But just as Iron Man is exiting, suddenly the tunnel is a solid green color, almost looking concrete. (00:16:05)

Iron Forged in Fire: Part One - S1-E1

Continuity mistake: When Tony first gets in his Iron Man armor, you see when the mask closes there are separation lines on the face plate where the different pieces came together. Lines going down to his eyes, one down from those to his nose area, and some on the sides of his mouth going down to his chin. But moments later when the suit flies out of the box, you see that all the lines below the eyes have vanished, like it is one solid piece there now. (00:15:50)

When they go in, the number 2 is behind the spot with the chamber holding the Iron Man armor. When Tony lowers the chamber holding the armor, the walls spin to have the number 4 behind that spot. But when Tony gets in the armor and the chamber goes up, the number 2 is now there again. (00:14:35 - 00:15:55)

As he is regaining his flight, the car he is heading right at is a gray vehicle. It then cuts to a close up from the reverse angle as Tony avoids the car and it suddenly becomes a yellow taxi as it swerves and stops in the road at an angle. The Mask of Zorro (1998)

Question: After they get away from the men that say the brothers are worth 200 pesos, they run across the military and one of the brothers is shot and the other runs. After the brother that was left behind shoots himself, the lead soldier cuts off his head in a single swing with his sword. But he has one of those thin swords you always see the commanders and stuff holding during those times. Would he have really been able to remove the Brother's head in one swing like that with such a flimsy sword?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: It would depend on four things: the sharpness of the sword, the strength of the steel used to forge it, the strength of the man swinging it, and the luck to slice though one of the ligaments between the victim's vertebrae, but theoretically, yes, it's possible to sever a head with a single sword blow.

Captain Defenestrator
