Quantom X

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the film, and most subsequent shots, Fritz’s hat is a green color. But when he runs up to greet Drosselmeier, it changes to a tannish olive color. (00:02:50)

Quantom X

Continuity mistake: When Drosselmeier pops out to say hi to Clara and Fritz in the beginning of the movie, there is nothing on the wall between the door of his shop and the window. But in the next shot, there is suddenly a plaque of some sort there on the wall. (00:02:45)

Quantom X

Continuity mistake: Fritz stops at the window to Uncle Drosselmeier’s work shop and wipes away the frost to peek. In this first shot, he is on the 3rd window pane from the left. But a couple shots later when Uncle Drosselmeier pops his head out to say hi, Fritz is suddenly only 2 window panes over. (00:02:25)

Quantom X

Continuity mistake: In the beginning, Fritz runs on the sidewalk next to some buildings over some ice, and jumps to slide along having fun, Clara following shortly after. In the first shot of him on the ice, he has not shadow or reflection in the ice he is standing on when shot from in front. But when it cuts to the next shot from the side of him sliding by, he suddenly has his reflection or shadow in the ice under him, and so does Clara as she slides by. (00:01:50)

Quantom X

Continuity mistake: Right in the beginning when Clara is giving a gift to her neighbor, Mrs. Miller, it shows her from behind wearing a pink coat with a hood on it, and there is a tan line that outlines the collar of the coat. It switches to the next shot from in front of her face and suddenly her coat is more an off orange pink color, and the line around it turns to a bright orangish yellow, and becomes thinner. The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: When Marie gets up to go see the fight between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, a far shot of the two battling shows them next to a window and curtains. It then cuts to a close up or them, and suddenly the draw string appears for the curtains that was not in the previous shot.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: Fritz pulls a toy soldier out of a line of 3 and removes its sword to give Marie. You can see in the far shot that the other two soldiers are still in there in the china cabinet where he pulled the 3rd from, and a toy cannon on the shelf below them. It cuts to a close up of Marie, then back to a far shot, and suddenly the other toy soldiers and cannon are gone, only china being visible.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Audio problem: After Marie gets done explaining to Fritz why she needs a sword from one of his toy soldiers, he responds "So the Nutcracker will kill the Seven Headed Mouse King?" Then Marie leans forward and says "Right... What so you say?" But it is Fritz's lips that move when she says "right".

The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: When Marie gets frustrated at the dinner table and slams her fists down, saying she didn't imagine it, you can see her fork on her plate. In all following shots where her plate is visible, her fork is lying on the table beside her plate.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: At the dinner table Marie says "I swear by the love I feel for Nutcracker." In the shot where she says that line, Drosselmeier's wine glass disappears. Also a few shots before this, he suddenly has two glasses of wine for one shot.

Rio 2 (2014)

Question: The main villain of the movie goes a few scenes with you never seeing his face, until later on. And he just seems like the ordinary evil business man type of villain. Nothing special that I could tell. So what is the point of having his face hidden for so long in the film?

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

Question: Why exactly is the girl called The Full Metal Bitch by the other soldiers? I know she did a heroic battle before, but why that name?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: It's a nickname referencing her attitude, and the fact she is wearing a suit of metal, probably referencing the movie (or ammunition type) "Full Metal Jacket".

The Nutcracker (1995)

Answer: The original 1816 story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" by ETA Hoffmann features the seven-headed Mouse King. Since then there have been numerous adaptations and re-imaginings of that story in literature, on stage and screen in different forms. In the classic versions the Mouse King has seven heads wearing seven crowns, other versions he has only one head, and in a few versions three heads. In the original and other adaptations the number seven is specified several times: Marie Stahlbaum is seven yrs old; the seven-headed Mouse King; the seven steps backwards; seven little crowns. The makers of this animated movie chose to feature the classic Mouse King.

Continuity mistake: When Marie is at the family dinner table and gets mad, saying she's not imagining it, her plate is shown. The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: The drawer in the nightstand next to Marie's bed is facing parallel to her bed away from the wall. When she opens the drawer to give her candy to the Seven Headed Mouse King, the drawer opens up towards her bed perpendicular to it, parallel to the wall.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Audio problem: After Marie's mom bring her food, she walks out the door and closes it behind her. Before her arm leaves the shot through the door, you can hear the sound of the door finish shutting, as if she shut her arm in the door, but she keeps moving and then her arm slips through.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: The day after Drosselmeier tells Marie the story of Nutcracker, her mom brings her breakfast in bed and the Nutcracker is on the nightstand beside her bed. In various shots, his arm changes from being outstretched to tucked by his chest, and the distance he is from the edge of the nightstand is constantly changing.

The Nutcracker (1995)

Continuity mistake: After the 15 year search, Drosselmeier returns to the castle with the Crackatook nut and a boy that can crack it. They come up to the throne and then Princess Perlypap walks in and confronts them. In the top shot of her on the red carpet, Drosselmeier is off to the right, not on the carpet. But a couple shots later when Drosselmeier begins speaking, he is suddenly standing on the edge of the carpet.
