Other mistake: Outside the prom when Hunter is trying to convince Lisa and Mitchel to not go in and stop their daughters from getting laid, they turn around when they hear the honk of a car behind them where two people are having sex as if they bumped the car horn. However this is impossible as as soon as they turn around, the two people are in the back seat right behind the driver's seat, nowhere near the steering wheel to honk it, even with a foot. (00:35:45)

The Predator (2018)
Question: The movie Predator, is supposedly canon to only the first Predator film and never acknowledges the second film from even happening. Sort of a Superman Returns deal where it's a sequel to an earlier film, retconning the later films. This movie, however, acknowledges both of the first films but nothing about Predators is ever mentioned. But considering the premise of Predators, maybe just nobody in the film researching these aliens knows about the events of that film, however unlikely. So my question is this movie canon with all 3 previous films, or does it not count Predators?
Answer: The second film is actually subtly acknowledged by Jake Busey playing a scientist named Keyes, implying that he is the son of Peter Keyes from the second film who was played by his father Gary.

Continuity mistake: The little boy, Rory, gets to a baseball field after his mask blows a hole in some guy's chest. On the field the bulldog comes up to him and then the Predator dog shows up. Rory is standing there and has the Predator's gauntlet on his left arm, but in the shot where he and the bulldog look up at the other Predator dog, suddenly the gauntlet is on his right arm and his left arm is up and empty, only for it to jump back to his left arm for the rest of the scene. Continuity mistake: After Mitchell gets to his daughter and throws Connor out of the room, they start to talk and he sits on the bed next to her. For the entire conversation, almost every time the camera changes angles their heads and which way they are looking don't match up with the previous shot. (01:18:50)

Continuity mistake: Lisa sneaks into the room that Kayla prepared for Julie and sits on the bed where an arrow is made with licorice. In a close up, part of it is moved so the arrow is crooked. But in the next shot after she asks herself what is she doing there, it is straightened out. (01:12:40)

Continuity mistake: When Michel finds the pink thong in the laundry and thinks it's his wife's, he climbs on her bed chewing on them playfully before she tells him it's his daughter's thong. Between shots when she puts the mechanical pencil on his lips and tells him, the thong is suddenly hanging out of his mouth much further. (00:05:00)

Answer: Well, in the case of Predators, it was violent criminals, mercenaries and military being randomly kidnapped and dumped on an alien planet. From the perspective of humans, it would appear that the criminals and mercenaries had gone missing in a more mundane fashion or simply died. If the Predators were covert about it, the Predator researchers would not be suspicious at all. So it's entirely possible it's canon.
