The Kinsman - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: When Manolito rides up to the house, Buck is grooming his horse, Rebel, while standing beside the animal's left flank. After a very brief cut to Mano and back, Buck is suddenly on Rebel's right flank, without enough time to have moved there. (00:34:30)

Babylon 5 (1994)

The Kinsman - S1-E20

Factual error: Dan's wanted poster features a high-resolution 20th Century photo. In the 1870s, particularly way out west in frontier Arizona, the technology to reproduce and print photos like this was non-existent. Wanted posters sometimes had sketches of outlaws, but most often, they contained nothing but the name, reward amount, the crime, and a written description. (00:15:30)

The Dresden Files (2007)

Trivia: The murder victim in Jim Butcher's fourth Dresden Files novel is named Ronald Reuel, and Dresden's chief suspects, not coincidentally, are fairies. The name is an homage to Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkien, whose initials stood for John Ronald Reuel.

Quantum Leap (1989)

Another Mother - September 30, 1981 - S2-E13

Plot hole: Sam wallops both kidnappers and rescues the son. They then leave the two child molesters unconscious beside their van. No one calls the police or has them arrested, so they're free to kidnap another kid. Sam doesn't leap until after an epilogue in which the loose ends are supposed to be resolved - but this question is left unanswered. It's not excused by a "just because we didn't see it happen doesn't mean it didn't" defense. The viewers shouldn't be left with a dangling plot hole, and one line could have cured this one.

Trivia: High Chaparral was one of the first TV westerns to hire large numbers of genuine Native American actors to play the "Indians." During a casting call for the part of Apache Chief Cochise, one actor, when asked to give his name, responded "Cochise." "No, no," the casting director argued. "That's the role. We want your name." "Cochise." This went back and forth a few times before the actor slapped the table and angrily declared, "Damn it, I am Cochise!" And to the casting director's astonishment, he was - a namesake and great-grandson of the original Cochise. [Source: TV Guide, 1967.].

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Gets Cabin Fever - S3-E12

Factual error: Randy calls the cabin and gets a "not in service" message. But he should have heard an unanswered ring instead. The FBI agent tore the cord from the wall, which in the US does not generate a "not in service" recording. That only occurs when the phone company cuts off your service due to non-payment or cancellation. (00:30:00)

Trivia: In its day, War and Remembrance held the record for most expensive mini-series ever produced. Its price tag was in excess of $110,000.00. (ABC picked up the tab after Paramount declined to finance the sequel.) The production was shot in over 750 locations around the world and hired more than 44,000 actors, 358 of whom had speaking parts.

Continuity mistake: The number of pirates assaulting the hillside keeps changing. There are hundreds of them, then fewer than thirty, then hundreds again. In many scenes, in fact, there are far more pirates than could possibly fit aboard their one small ship. (01:55:30)

Revealing mistake: During Fritz's fight with the giant anaconda in the swamp, James MacArthur's stunt double becomes apparent by virtue of a bald spot showing on the back of his head. (01:10:30)

Revealing mistake: When Fritz is showing Roberta how to fire the rifle, several camera truck tire tracks can be seen on the beach behind them. (01:37:10)

Deliberate mistake: Fritz rescues the mud-trapped zebra and Roberta rides it across the island to the tree house, then again later in the race. Zebras, however, cannot be domesticated or ridden. To film these scenes, Disney & Co. painted a white horse with zebra stripes. (01:20:00 - 01:46:30)

Show generally

Factual error: Part 10: Near the end, the superimposed title identifies the battleship on screen as the U.S.S. Iowa. But the visible hull number is 62 - which was the New Jersey, not the Iowa. The U.S.S. Iowa's hull number was BB 61. (01:07:00)
