The Prisoner (1967)

The Schizoid Man - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: While the technicians are prepping the unconscious Number 6, there's no watch on the lamp table by the bed. One appears there, though, when the tech begins collecting the prisoner's personal items.

The Prisoner (1967)

The Schizoid Man - S1-E5

Factual error: Alison's Polaroid pictures develop themselves instantly. (In reality, you had to wait just over a minute before separating the developer sheet and finished photograph.) She also leaves the same flash bulb in when she takes a second picture - and it flashes again.

The Dark Horse - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: While Diamond talks to the newspaper editor, he has two locks of hair falling over his forehead in full shots, but in close-up, his hair is neatly combed back. The forelocks come and go repeatedly after that, throughout the episode. (00:18:00)

The Prisoner (1967)

The Schizoid Man - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: While they ride toward the helicopter, Number 6 and Number 2 have a conversation. Shots of Number 6 are obviously outdoors under windy conditions: his hair is blowing. But every shot of Number 2 has been taken in-studio with a rear-screen projection. His hair isn't moving at all.

Return to Devil's Hole - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: Heyes takes Clara's handbag and dumps its contents on the table. A bundled stack of bills at least an inch thick falls out. Several shots later, though, the pile of money is much thinner, about half its original size. (00:08:25 - 00:10:10)

The Prisoner (1967)

The Schizoid Man - S1-E5

Continuity mistake: Watch the helicopter when it first lifts off. It has regular "sled-style" landing struts. But in the air, it suddenly has water pontoons. When it lands again, though, the regular struts return.

Return to Devil's Hole - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: While the Devil's Hole Gang plays cards in the bunkhouse, Hamilton stands behind the poker table beside one of the beds. In the master shot, he's wearing a tan jacket. In every close-up, however, the jacket disappears and he's wearing a blue shirt. (00:41:00)

Dark Shadows (1991)

Episode Two - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: When an entranced Daphne leaves the house, she opens just one of the two French doors. When Joe and Deputy Harker wake up to find her missing, both the doors are standing open. (00:08:20 - 00:10:20)

Dark Shadows (1991)

Episode Two - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: When Julia comes to the Old House to confront Barnabas, Willie lights a tier of four candles, but one goes out again, leaving only three burning. In full shot, candle 4 remains unlit. In a close-up from the same angle, candle 4 is burning and 3 is unlit. (00:41:50)

Dark Shadows (1991)

Episode Three - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: Julia holds up the hypodermic before injecting Barnabas, and the hypo is half full of green fluid. In the next shot, as she starts to inject him, it's completely full. (00:02:15)

Dark Shadows (1991)

Episode One (Pilot) - S1-E1

Factual error: Willie opens the secret room in the Collins family mausoleum, and a flock of bats flies out. It's a hidden chamber that's been sealed (without even small openings - it's imprisoning a vampire) for 200 years. There'd be no way for the bats to get in. (00:15:00)

The Root of It All - S1-E11

Trivia: During shooting for this episode, guest star Judy Carne (famous for dancing in a very skimpy bikini on Laugh-In), decided to play a risque practical joke. In a scene where her character, wearing a skirt, was required to climb up a high ladder to a water tower, she "accidentally-on-purpose" forgot to put on any underwear, and "flashed" the entire film crew.

The Prisoner (1967)

The Hoodlum - S4-E1

Factual error: Diamond's car phone, quite a rarity in the 1950s, attracts a lot of attention. But the car should have a huge antenna attached to make the gadget work (it doesn't), and Diamond would not be getting direct calls - they'd have to go through a mobile operator first.

Don't Get Mad, Get Even - S2-E21

Plot hole: In the bath house at the beginning, Heyes and Curry, who should be using their aliases, call each other by their real names several times while the proprietor, who's a stranger to them, is preparing hot water nearby. The man must not be up on "the two most successful outlaws in the history of the west," though: he doesn't race off to turn them in and collect the reward. (00:04:40)
