The Virginian (1962)

Train of Darkness - S8-E18

Continuity mistake: The miniature train used in all the night shots (it passes the same artificial mountainside several times), is pulling three passenger cars and no baggage car. When the full size train arrives at the station the next day, it has a baggage car and only one passenger car.

Continuity mistake: The windows in Miss Brody's classroom seem to have minds of their own. The one she admonishes a student to lower to six inches closes itself completely a few shots later. Another, in a later scene, reduces the amount it is open by several inches between takes.

Mod Squad (1968)

The Psychic - S1-E28

Trivia: Watch the drive-in theater marquis when Briggs drives in to pick up his assignment. It reads "Geller and Solow / Spend the Money" - an in-joke reference to producer Bruce Geller and Desilu executive Herb Solow.

Season 1 generally

Trivia: Throughout season one, the stack of photographs Briggs peruses in selecting his mission team includes one of a man in black-rimmed glasses. It's a shot of the show's creator/producer, Bruce Geller.

Hogan's Heroes (1965)

Trivia: Hogan's Heroes was originally conceived as a comedy set in a U.S. Penitentiary. Creator Bernard Fein tried for four years to sell it, gave up, and was headed home on a plane when he saw a passenger reading the novel Von Ryan's Express. That gave him an idea. He flew back to Hollywood with a proposal for a show now set in a German P.O.W. Camp, and sold the series in four days.

Operation Pacific (1951)

Continuity mistake: As Japanese planes strafe the U.S.S. Thunderfish, the insertion of a brief piece of sub-being-struck-by-gunfire stock footage changes the American submarine into a German U-boat. (01:30:00)

Bat Masterson (1958)

Hit - S7-E9

Factual error: In what is supposed to be a maximum security prison, the inmates (all of whom have stylish but non-prison-regulation haircuts) have a pool-cue brawl in a completely unsupervised rec room. Not a guard in sight.

Season 7 generally

Continuity mistake: Because episodes were not aired in production order, both Lynda Day George (whose character is said to be on a prolonged assignment in Europe) and Greg Morris' mustache appear, disappear and re-appear throughout the seventh season.

Bat Masterson (1958)

Bat Trap - S3-E3

Continuity mistake: During the street fight, Gene Barry's stunt double wears a shaggy wig that gets badly disheveled in the brawl. In the intercut close-ups of "Bat" throwing punches, however, Barry's hair is short and neatly groomed. (00:06:00)

The Virginian (1962)

Stopover - S7-E14

Continuity mistake: After Frank locks him in the jail cell, the Virginian stands with his hands holding the bars in full shots, but in close-ups, his arms are extended through the bars in a completely different position.

Three for the Money - S2-E21

Audio problem: Volkswagen Beetles had a very distinctive "putt-putt" engine noise. In every scene with the bad guy following Ryan and McBride in a VW Beetle, the sound effects dubbed in post-production belong to a much larger, standard American car, and not to a VW at all. (00:26:00)
