Brimstone (1998)

Repentance - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: The memorabilia dealer shows Stone slides of escaped Nazi war criminals. There's a page of text projected on the screen, which Stone asks the man to translate. While they talk, the image on the screen changes to a picture between takes, even though we can see that the projector's carousel tray hasn't moved. (00:17:45)

The Time of the Knife - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: After she's been roughed up by the bad guy, Jean's hair is a mess. But while she's talking to Scott and Kelly, her hairdo repairs itself between takes, becoming neatly combed, sprayed and coiffed again. (00:26:15)

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Factual error: Many of the panoramic scenes in this film capture breathtaking views of mountain ranges completely covered with snow - a geographical feature not to be found in the Holy Land. It is found on occasion, though, in Arizona, where these sequences were actually shot. Other scenes show desert bluffs, mesas and arches that are also not found in the Middle East: they're the distinctive formations of the Arches National Park in Utah, USA.

Mr. Monk and the Three Pies - S2-E11

Continuity mistake: When Van Rankin takes the borrowed flour from his kitchen counter and hands it to Sharona, it's in a standard paper flour sack, and the counter is clean. Later, there's flour dust on the counter and the impression of a large, round flour tin - like the one in Monk's kitchen - instead of an imprint of the paper sack. (00:37:20)

Men Into Space (1959)

Trivia: This was the last film to be partially shot in Cinerama, a technique that was abandoned due to cost issues. On studio orders, director George Stevens had to re-shoot large portions of this movie in 70mm instead, causing delays that created huge cost overruns, and a two-year delay in releasing the film.

The Jar - S2-E17

Character mistake: Charlie tells Thedy that the hair ribbon embroidered with her name cost 65 cents, "five cents a letter." But her name is Thedy Sue Hill, which is only 12 letters - or 60 cents worth. (And no, the extra is not due to a sales tax, which in 1962 would have been two cents, tops, and didn't even exist yet in many states.). (00:12:00)

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: This was not an error. Charlie is a bumpkin. He was ripped off due to his lack of intelligence.

Continuity mistake: When Ray first arrives at Devil's Tower and stops the station wagon, the broken fence post resting on the hood changes positions between shots. In the view of him through the wind shield, the post is lying straight, parallel to the length of the wagon. In the next shot, it is suddenly at an angle, even though the car hasn't moved. So Long, Patrick Henry - S1-E1

Visible crew/equipment: Kelly and Scott are being chased by Red Chinese agents and run up a flight of steps, passing two big studio light panels. When the bad guys run past the same place in the next shot, the panels are gone. (00:22:15)

Continuity mistake: When Willy Wonka first opens the door to the chocolate room for his guests, the long, shrinking corridor they've all just walked down is no longer behind them. Instead, there's now a short patio with a huge wrought-iron gate. (00:54:20)

The Probe - S2-E17

Deliberate mistake: Amanda survives a plane crash into the ocean, hurricane winds in a life raft, then experimentation and attacks by giant microbes inside the alien probe. Yet when she and the others are rescued at the end, not one strand of hair is loose in her 1960s "beehive" hairdo. (00:49:05)
