Continuity mistake: After Sam's rescue from the Decepticon doctor's brain surgery, when Optimus transforms we see Sam rolling on the ground near the trees and in the next shot he gets up and runs behind the trees as Optimus shouts, "Hide, Sam!" Continuity mistake: When Sam has carved the circle of symbols into the ground, the aircraft behind him casts very different shadows upon the ground right up until everyone vanishes, when the cloud of dust caused by their disappearance appears. (01:25:55)

Visible crew/equipment: In Egypt, in the exterior shot just before Sam says, "We got cops!" the moving shadow of the filming vehicle is visible on the ground and on Sam's car, as it's driving alongside. (01:31:50)

Continuity mistake: When Jetfire tries to leave the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar and says, "I command these doors to open," there is a shot of Sam, Mikaela, Simmons and Leo standing at the tip of what was Jetfire's enclosure bars, looking up, a bit to their right as if Jetfire was directly in front of them. In the next shot Jetfire, who is way down at the end of the hangar, breaks down the door and heads out. Next shot, they're all still looking up in the very same direction, even though they should be looking all the way to their right, straight ahead into the distance. (01:23:40)

Continuity mistake: After Jetfire's transformation, when he snipes, "You little spinal-cord-based organisms," he knocks the Mercury capsule and it falls. In the shot facing Jetfire, as it rolls toward Sam and the others, Jetfire is no longer standing within his enclosure, he is actually to the left of it. However, in the next shot as the Mercury capsule rolls toward Sam, the teenager is standing directly in front of the enclosure's bars. (01:23:30)

Continuity mistake: Just after Jetfire's transformation, when he shouts, "Answer me, pawns and knaves!" he pushes the yellow Naval sea-plane (44), which hangs from the ceiling, out of the way. First problem is that we see it breaking apart and hear it crashing, yet we don't see any pieces anywhere in following shots. Second, when Wheelie mentions that Jetfire hasn't aged well, that sea-plane is back up where it was. (01:23:25)

Continuity mistake: At the start of Bumblebee and Rampage battling it out, Rampage knocks a car over onto its side (perpendicular to the car that's beside Ron and Judy). A few shots after the close-up of Bumblebee dropping his yellow faceplate over his face, that car gets overturned again behind Mikaela, though in between there are shots of the car already on its side. That car is down yet again when Bumblebee is attacked by Ravage, and then on its side again when Sam pulls Mikaela by her hand. (02:00:20)

Continuity mistake: When Sam and the rest are chasing after Jetfire, explaining that they just want to talk, during their conversation Sam's arms repeatedly go from being raised way up or being down, depending on the camera angle. (01:24:20)

Continuity mistake: When Leo is freaking out in the back seat of the car, Simmons, who is in the front seat, pulls out the taser to use on Leo and holds it in his left hand as he turns around. Yet in Leo's close-up, as he's being zapped, the taser is in Simmons's right hand, but next shot the taser is back in his left hand. (01:46:55)

Continuity mistake: At the aircraft 'boneyard', Sam uses a dagger to carve a huge circle of symbols into the ground, and in the first close-up Sam finishes up a specific symbol at the top of the circle, sticks the dagger in the dirt and stands up. In the next overhead wideshot, Sam is not only still kneeling and then stands up again, but he was actually kneeling at a different symbol located at the bottom of the circle. (01:25:50)

Continuity mistake: At the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar, the entire information booth that is directly behind Jetfire (it was seen close-up when Leo walked out of the bathroom with his pants down) has vanished as he exclaims, "Behold the eternal glory of Jetfire!" (01:21:00)

Continuity mistake: As Jetfire transforms, Simmons orders everyone to hide by the Mig, and as they run to it the tall lighting pole is positioned in the open area between Jetfire's enclosure and two red-trimmed glass showcases. But when Jetfire begins to ask, "What sort of hideous mausoleum is this?" that tall pole is now between the two showcases and there are metal posts with red rope suddenly surrounding it. Then when Jetfire breaks out of the hangar, the lighting pole and metal posts have all vanished. (01:23:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Leo has the taser in his hand in the museum's bathroom and then uses it on the security guard, the reflection of the cameraman, who is wearing a white shirt, is visible on the stall door. (01:21:20)

Continuity mistake: After Leo uses the taser on the security guard in the bathroom, the guard is sprawled out on the floor with his left arm lying beside him and the TP roll above his arm, but next shot the guard's arm is up parallel to his shoulder, with the TP roll now between his arm and torso. Continuity mistake: When Leo walks out of the bathroom with his pants down saying, "Ran out of toilet paper, you got any out here?", the security guard behind him is walking towards him, at the right of the airplane. Continuity mistake: When Devastator is sucking up the vehicles and structures at the construction site, the large camper's exterior is pulled off, leaving only the frame as the camper is pulled forward, but a few shots later, in an overhead wideshot that camper is still intact and straight, as Mudflap and Skids stand firm. Revealing mistake: At the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar, upon finding Jetfire, Wheelie turns and says, "This guy's a legend," and then later Wheelie turns and says, "I tell you, this guy did not age well." These specific CGI frames of Wheelie are the very same frames, and only the background plates (with and without Jetfire) differ. (01:22:40 - 01:23:40)
