Visible crew/equipment: As Norrington says in the wide shot, "Jack Sparrow, isn't it?" to which Jack replies, "Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please sir," there is a black-haired crew member wearing a white shirt who is crouched down behind Jack. Really! He's also visible when Mullroy says, "These are his sir." (Visible ONLY on the video version.)

Trivia: When Harry, Ron and Fang begin to walk through the Dark Forest there is a close-up of Fang walking towards the camera. At the start of the next shot, at the bottom right of the screen the Ford Anglia is visible. Although the scene of them seeing the car before it rescues them is deleted, this one shot remains of the car 'watching' them. (01:43:40)

Continuity mistake: During the final scenes in the airport, as Juliet and Peter run toward Jamie and Aurelia, in the first shot passing on Juliet's right is a bearded man in a suit jacket. In the next shot as Juliet kisses Aurelia the same man just walks through the doorway and starts to pass Juliet. Then in the next shot he enters once again walking behind Jamie. There are others in the terminal whose positions also differ in consecutive shots. (02:06:40)

Revealing mistake: When Karen rips open the wrapping on her gift from Harry, in the close-up of the CD as she holds it with her right hand, it is blatantly obvious that it is not Emma Thompson's hand. Just compare it with the earlier shot of her hand when she sneaks a peak at the card signed - "Sorry I'm such a grumpy bugger.. Bad Harry." (01:27:45)

In the two close-ups the oval photograph of Harry and her is beside the stereo, albeit their position differs a bit and the Joni Mitchell CD is lying on the stereo, but in the wide shot of Karen the photograph is gone and the CD is positioned quite differently. In the next few front shots her hair is first draped straight down, then tucked a bit, and when she stands up in the side shot her hair is positioned as the first side shot, all without her ever touching her hair. Continuity mistake: When Colin speaks with Nancy at Juliet and Peter's wedding reception he puts the 'dead baby finger' hors d'oeuvre into his mouth in the first shot, but when he spits it back out into his fingers in the next shot, not having chewed or swallowed any, the hors d'oeuvre is quite a bit smaller. Visible crew/equipment: After stealing Interceptor, on deck Will sharpens his sword as he says, "When I was a lad...my mother raised me...I came out here looking for my father," and Jack responds, "Is that so?" In the next close-up of Will part of the camera equipment is visible at the bottom of the screen. (This is ONLY visible on the video version.)
Visible crew/equipment: As Norrington and his men board the Dauntless he says, "Search every cabin, every hull down to the bilges." In the next shot a crew member with a white baseball cap and green shirt is actually visible hiding under the gangplank. (This enjoyable shot is ONLY visible on the video version.)
Continuity mistake: When Pintel and Ragetti go after Elizabeth in her home she knocks Pintel out cold and drops hot coals from the bed warmer on top of Ragetti's head. In the close-up as Ragetti yells, "No! No! It's hot!" he holds the flaming torch in his left hand. However, in the next shot as Pintel yells, "Come on!" the torch is gone, it is in neither of Ragetti's hands and of course when he leaps over the banister he has the torch again. (00:32:50)
Continuity mistake: A bit after Jack says, "You need to find yourself a girl mate," Jack tosses a mallet at Will. As Will ducks, in this shot the hose on both legs are rolled down to his ankles. Yet just after Jack says, "Or perhaps the reason you practice 3 hours a day...You're not a eunuch are you?" Will's hose are obviously pulled up properly. Orlando Bloom wore the hose rolled down during much of the shoot, when it was supposedly not visible onscreen. (This is ONLY visible on the video version.)
