Revealing mistake: Before robo-Carmen punches the wall, the painted uneven plaster surface actually changes between two shots, as her fist makes contact. Then in robo-Carmen's close-up and next shot looking up, it's clear that only the exterior slabs of pre-cut painted plaster come loose and fall from the hollow interior, differing with the large chunks of interior plaster on the floor in the next shot. Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: When Carmen and Juni confront their doppelgangers, after their parents ascend into the circular opening, at the end of the corridor there are many things, including two tall yellow lamps, near the window, as well as two large globes sitting directly on the floor, against the side wall nearby. However, after robo-Carmen throws Juni across the floor (btw, he disappears in the second shot), when he runs back up the corridor everything (no kidding) at the end of that hall changes and now the large globes sit on stands! Visible crew/equipment: As Gregorio and Ingrid disappear through the circular opening above, the surrounding ceiling is clearly visible. After a close-up of Juni and Carmen, in the following shot, before the two robots make their appearance, the crew's equipment is visible beside the circular puzzle opening in the ceiling. (01:12:55)

Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: The characteristics and features of Floop's castle differ hugely in the exterior shots of the castle and the interior shots. One crucial example is all the windows in the grand room which are visible in interior shots, yet not in the exterior shots. (00:13:25 - 01:09:05)

Continuity mistake: Robots Juni and Carmen appear, after Gregorio and Ingrid ascend into the opening above, and as they run up the wall and flip over a huge green work of art hangs on the corner wall at the left side of the screen. However, when robo-Carmen taunts Juni a smaller pink frilled work of art hangs on that very same corner wall. (01:13:20 - 01:14:40)

Revealing mistake: Throughout the shots of the corridors in Floop's castle, the many works of art, light fixtures, etc., are repetitive, despite the fact that they are supposed to be different corridors. Although one can say there are identical works of art and so forth, in the multitude of corridors, however even the painted uneven surface of the walls surrounding the art, etc., are perfectly identical.

Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: When the large doors to the grand room open, robot Johnny runs up the corridor towards Lisp and the door to the virtual room as well as its two signs, are at the end of the corridor. Yet when Gregorio and Carmen 'drop in' on Floop's table, the wall with a window is at the end of the corridor. Then when Minion receives the Third Brain from the robots the virtual room doors are visible, however in the following shots the wall with the window is back once again. (00:14:30 - 00:52:30)

Deliberate mistake: After Gregorio and Ingrid disappear through the ceiling hole, as robots Carmen and Juni appear, the waterfall painting is visible on the right, as is part of the 'water' and its container below. However, when the robots run up the wall and flip over, the 'water' and container below the painting are gone. (01:13:00)

Spy Kids (2001)

Deliberate mistake: When Machete crashes through the puzzle shaped window, in the wide shot it's blatantly obvious that Lisp is a double (who appears in other shots as well), for one thing, in this shot light brown haired Lisp now has black hair! Also in this shot Ms. Gradenko moves off to the left, yet in the next shot she's still beside Lisp. (01:17:10)

Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: As Gregorio, Ingrid, Carmen and Juni take a stance together awaiting the robots, there is a close-up of Minion and there is no one at his right side. However in the previous and following shots the other men stand right beside Minion. (01:16:50)

Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: After Ingrid says, "Carmen, Juni, close your eyes. We don't want you to see this, OK?" and she and Gregorio take down the baddies, the robot kids come into view. In their first close-up they walk well past particular works of art on both sides, yet, after a shot of Ms. Gradenko, in their next close-up they are much further back in the corridor and are just nearing those objects. Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: Carmen sends the anchor up into the circular puzzle opening above and in the next close-up the anchor attaches itself to the puzzle structure. She then attaches the base of the anchor device on robo-Juni's back and when he goes flying up, the actual puzzle shapes are completely different from the previous close-up. The way the anchor is anchored differs as well. (01:13:45)

Continuity mistake: When Carmen and Juni spray instant cement at their dopplegangers, the strings land very messy and end up on the wall and picture to robo-Juni's right. In the next shot the hardened strings now have many points of contact on the walls over their arms and is gone from the wall to robo-Juni's right. (01:15:55)

Deliberate mistake: When Ingrid, Gregorio, Carmen and Juni are faced with all the robot children, Machete jumps through the puzzle window to their rescue. As he rolls off the floor the large bandage on the stuntguy's left elbow is visible, though it isn't in the previous or following shots. (01:17:10)

Visible crew/equipment: After Carmen and Juni arrive at the safehouse, Carmen puts a small packet into the rehydrator and soon removes a burger and fries. When she closes the rehydrator door two crew member's reflections are visible. One is to the left of Carmen's reflection, on the glass window of the rehydrator and the second, who has very long hair, is reflected on the upper fry pan in the wall. (00:28:50)

Continuity mistake: When Juni and Carmen reach the door to the Super Guppy, Felix puts the locating device down on the black bag with both handles down and then leaves. However, when Carmen retrieves the locating device the left handle is upright, though nobody touches it. (00:21:25 - 00:22:30)

Spy Kids (2001)

Continuity mistake: As Ingrid and Gregorio are being led past the jailed Fooglies, when Ingrid says, "Characters from Floop's TV show," in the close-up the Fooglie with purple hands moves along the bars towards the center. However, in the next wide shot he simply stands back at the left corner holding the bars. (00:26:40)

Visible crew/equipment: Once the Guppy dives, Carmen says, "We are definitely gonna be late for school." In the next few close-ups, when the shot faces Juni there is a blonde wearing a light shirt facing Juni on the left side of the screen. Carmen has very dark hair and wears a red jacket, so it's obviously not her and they're alone! (00:24:30)
