Continuity mistake: In the pilot, when Deb wakes up in Jane's body in the ER and notices her reflection she puts her left hand up to her new face, but in the closeup of her reflection it's not reversed as it should be. This mistake is visible in the opening shots of every episode for the duration of the series.

Continuity mistake: After Jane and Sam are escorted out of the charity event, Bobbie shows Ryan Trilling the rainbow polish on the fingernails of her left hand, but we see it's her right hand in the close-up.

Revealing mistake: After Poe's X-Wing is destroyed, when BB-8 leaves the village and rolls off note all the distinctive hills and sand dunes in front of BB-8. Later, when Rey hears BB-8 with Teedo and she rushes off note the sand dunes in front of her, but after she rescues BB-8 and walks in the opposite direction those same sand dunes are now in front of them, which were also the same sand dunes in front of BB-8 when he left the village the night before.

Continuity mistake: When Poe and Finn steal the TIE/SF, both of Finn's torso harness straps have thin pieces of ridged plastic attached to them - nothing else, but when Finn wakes up on Jakku those pieces attached to the straps are entirely different. (00:20:45 - 00:24:00)

Continuity mistake: While Finn, Rey, and BB-8 are hiding in the maintenance bay to unfix the poisonous gas, when Finn lifts the floor's slotted deck plate and pokes his head out there are specific grooves at the edge on top of the plate, but no grooves underneath at the edge. The problem occurs when Chewie lifts the deck plate, and those grooves should be on the side facing him (the top side), but instead they're facing out. Then when Han tells Finn "that thing" can understand him, the grooves are gone - the top side of the deck plate is properly facing out. (00:40:05)

Continuity mistake: When Finn asks Rey if she can unfix the poisonous gas they rush to get the air masks, and as Finn climbs down to the maintenance bay below deck we see the floor behind Rey when she starts to kneel to help BB-8. Then after the closeup of Rey helping BB-8, in the next shot as Finn takes BB-8 from Rey we see the corner of the floor's deck plate that has suddenly appeared behind Rey, which she reaches for in the following shot to cover the maintenance bay. Continuity mistake: After the Stormtrooper tells Darth Vader the Death Star plans are not in the main computer, when Vader lifts the Rebel off his feet by his throat as the Rebel tells him they intercepted no transmissions, take note of the leg plates on the Stormtrooper to Vader's right. In the wide shot, the Stormtrooper's left leg armor does not have the knee protector plate (it looks as if it's at his right knee because the extra switched them), but in the next closeup the knee plate appears at his left knee, as it should be. The trooper also appears to go from right handed to left handed weapon carry. (00:05:40)

Continuity mistake: When Sue rushes back to her dorm feeling humiliated she throws her jacket and handbag on the floor, but when she flops down on her bed she's still holding her handbag, and then pushes it to the floor.

Continuity mistake: After Kylo Ren uses the Force to lift Rey and slam her into a tree Finn kneels beside her. When Ren calls Finn a traitor, Finn turns to his right and starts to stand up, but in the next shot Finn has stood up by turning to his left. (01:51:40)

Continuity mistake: After Rey touches Luke's lightsaber she begins to have the vision, and when she falls to the floor the blaster is missing from the back of her belt, but after she "sees" Luke and R2 and then stands up the blaster is back again, tucked into her belt (even though Rey's having her vision of things all around her, she herself is not a vision).

Continuity mistake: While Rey's fixing the motivator, when Finn asks her if she wants to go back to Jakku because of family or a cute boyfriend, Finn's kneeling on his hands and knees, but in the next shot he's not, just as Rey tells him it's none of his business. (00:39:00)

Continuity mistake: When Rey reaches the top of the ridge and shouts at Teedo, we see there are no footprints in the sand between her and Teedo, so when Rey rushes to BB-8 her lone set of footprints are the only ones behind her in the sand. When Rey walks away from BB-8 telling him "No," there are many more footprints in the sand between her and the droid, even though there should only be the two sets of Rey's footprints - from both coming and going. (00:15:10 - 00:16:05)
Suggested correction: BB-8 is heading towards a background at night, the other instances are all near where BB-8 is since they are all focused around him. Rey finds BB-8, only possible if she is near the same background. BB-8 was going towards that background so can only be closer to it than before. Same goes for Finn as they crashed near where BB-8 was, since they were looking for him. They are not the exact same locations but a couple of miles apart, which produces the same background.

When Rey rushes toward Teedo and then when she walks away in the *opposite* direction with BB-8 the very same sand dunes are still in front of her and BB-8. Those sand dunes are also the exact same sand dunes right in front of BB-8 when he left the village. The correction states "They are not the exact same locations but a couple of miles apart," but they are in fact the exact same sand dunes and hills, certainly not miles apart, and I do not mean the general horizon "which produces the same background" (screenshots available now). The filming of these scenes was done at the same location.
